As a gay character, Steven obviously had to immediately go to the Vic to be seen by Johnny. The scriptwriters are so ham-fisted in the way they try to set these things up.

The Eastenders writers don't really know how to do subtlety do they? They might as well have had "these two are gonna get it on" flashing across the screen in big red letters.

It also seemed to be pretty much the exact same scene as when Old Johnny met Ben!

I wish the old johnny was still around, this new one has no charisma and his acting is bad. I know its to early to tell if they have chemistry but this new johnny just doesn't have any presence on screen

Without that half the audience wouldn't know that Steven isn't straight .

In fairness, Steven has matured well I must say! But I don't want to see Johnny get an affair story, he's too good natured for that and I think he is currently the only EE character that hasn't been involved in an affair, not to mention the whole boyfriend cheats on girlfriend with another guy, story has just been done with Abi and Ben.

Hate the way Lauren and Peters exit has been tarnished by putting her with Steven, but I guess they had to explain his absence some way.

If Steven and Lauren keep their relationship secret (which they may well do) then Johnny may not realise he's getting into an affair. I agree I'm very wary about Johnny knowingly cheating with someone, especially as he's always been friendly with Lauren, so I hope that this is the route they go down.

Its funny cos Emmerdale is now having huge success on social media because of Robron and suddenly out of no where EE potentially have something of the same just waiting to blow up.

Johnny is so innocent and Steven is really not to be trusted no matter how charming he might seem right now. I don't mind Lauren having to deal with the fall out of a psycho but not sweet Johnny.

I do wonder if Steven is just using Lauren as a way of getting back in with the Beales. They think he's reformed, but he's still a psycho underneath waiting to get his revenge on them all. Especially as he kept giving Bobby weird looks.
