So how can you troll the show if the chosen hate figure has lynched himself so to speak....kind of pulls the rug from underneath the trolls....

I always thought that Rory Reid would make a good main presenter...I thought it would go something like, Chris Evans does three years, gets the show up and running, absorbs all the punches from the Sun and Daily Mail, everything settles down, and then he steps down for Reid to take over..job done...

Anyway, it's Rory Reid for me.....all the way...

And kudos to Chris Evans, he proved how much class he has by stepping down....which basically gives the middle finger to the Clarkson fanboys who are now left with no one to hate. That's what happens when you put all your eggs in one basket.”

Oh FFS give it up!
You are such an ignorant twerp to keep using the phrase "Clarkson knuckle draggers" over and over again despite plenty of people actually putting forward sensible, logical & easy to understand arguments as to why they didn't like the new YOU are the only one here who is still obsessed with Clarkson. WE have moved on and want a better show that we find enjoyable once again, without excluding everyone else in the process.
CE has gone. Fair play to him for doing so in the face of being the one almost constant thing that people seem to have disliked about the new show. Sadly his attitude at the start with the tweeting and the blustering about the figures have probably done more damage to his reputation than the show itself.

Onwards and upwards TG, let's hope you make it great again.

Exactly, hope the poster had his IP hidden, would be in a world of trouble if that were seen by certain eyes.

Steps down from top gear the same day it's announced someone has made a complaint about him of a sexual nature.

He is right though, should have been handled so much better, we could have had Top Gear back.

I'm not that paranoid lol. No different to what people were calling Clarkson imo.

For getting his dick out and sexually harassing the females in the studio. I have never liked him, far too arrogant and shouty, thinks he's funny, how ever did he get onto t.v. in the first place.? He is a ********.

The problem was trying to re-run the same format, just with ginge front and centre. The format worked for CHM, but that doesn't mean you can just replace them, do the same show and hope nobody would notice. It needed to be radically different.

Row an Atkinson is NOT Blackadder or Mr Bean. He's more sort of the Maigret he did last year.

It was in the media weeks ago and considering said woman went to the media first I dont see how any conviction can be safe. Silly bint. WHo waits 25 years to complain about a flasher? Who complains to police anyway!

That could nearly be it for him at the BBC cause if he's questioned and suspended by the BBC over those allegations he just be sitting at home. At the moment they are only allegations.

There has been a witch hunt for Evans since it was announced he was taking the job. Only briefly seen the new series its not my thing cars. Id say bigger issue was the dreadful boring co host Matt Le Blanc.
Kinda feel sorry for him really,no one was going to give it a chance.

It destroyed DLT's career and his episodes of TOTP are still banned. He was convicted of a similar thing. Has he been banned from Radio 2? as Paul Gambachini and Tony Blackburn were immediatly taken off the air.

Lads stop suggesting Rowan Atkinson and the like replace Evans, as much as I'd be so down for that, BBC have already confirmed Evans won't be replaced but rather LeBlanc will be thrust into THE host position. So now it will effectively be "Matt LeBlanc talks about cars while some other people join him occasionally".

Honestly? I'm cool with that, if it just had been that from the off then maybe the show wouldn't have gotten quite as trampled as it already has been.

The general view on forums is that MLB was relatively good, especially on the pre-recorded videos. In the studio it was all a bit wooden but that is likely to be down to the writing and the chemistry between the hosts, of which there was none! That too may have been down to CE being too domineering of the show and the other hosts but we'll probably never know.

I've said it before. Chris Evans is very good at what he did in the past & recent programmes but he was not right for Top Gear. Matt Leblanc has been very good. However the other four are also no good for Top Gear. It is best with three presenters. Too many cooks have spoilt this broth. With the exception of Matt Leblanc, the others have no charisma. The BBC need to think about this very seriously or they will lose the viewers altogether.
