Hey everyone long time no posting but back now!! Have just revisited all of Alionas dances as a pro and just dancing with a contender she is one phenomenal lady if I haven't already repeated a dozen times before, the rhumba with Jay made me tear up and I'm not lying it really did.. The tango ' wow' that's all I can say and the waltz was just *lost for words* the last time felt like this was when I watched Alionas Argentine tango with Harry and her Viennese waltz also with Harry. Guys ignore the crude comments made by posters below they are just jealous that their favourite didn't win therefore they have to think of rather pathetic poor excuses to save themselves from looking well.. Rather dumb 😂😂

Hi everyone, just a little drive-by from me
![]() Saw a great show today, Vincent and Flavia's 'The Last Tango'. Fantastic dance, music, excellent live singers, good set design, costumes by Vicky Gill.....and a narrative, told in dance, that really touched the heart. It set me to wondering, does anyone know anything much about Keep Dancing? From its title and lack of supportive information, it sounds a bit unimaginative....maybe?? I hope the producers aren't just looking to do something based on the popularity of SCD.....I hope there will be proper production and some dance worth seeing. (ETA Apart from J and A, that is! )Anyone know more about it than I do? (Which wouldn't be surprising!) x |

(Which wouldn't be surprising!) x I was hoping for something along the lines of a cross between Last Tango and Putting on the Ritz. However without much info from Robin or the producers it is difficult to tell. How will they put 4 dances into the show from the different guests along the tour. Jay, Aliona, Lisa (to dance with Robin), Chelsee (also with Robin??), Louis (partner???). Such diverse dancers and styles could be difficult to include in a story scenario. |

Lola it's addictive. Trying to put your point of view with all the correct facts etc only for them to be disregarded. Ignored. Manipulated.
So you try again. But truthfully it seems a pointless exercise. That is probably an over generalisation. There are a couple of accepting discussions. But there were some terribly rude comments and some totally inaccurate comments. So my name is Hannah and I have become an MF poster. HELP!!!😂 ETA Oh and thanks for Let It Go. I actually do like it ![]() ![]() There is a post that I'm resisting responding to on the "Pro Dancers revealed" thread because it may get me into trouble. So I'm going to bite my tongue - or should that be "wear mittens" so that I can't operate my keyboard? ![]() Lindy_Loue - so glad you got to see "Last Tango" . I saw it a few weeks ago, and it really is fabulous, isn't it? Seaside Lady has also been to see it recently. ![]() Ano - Nice to see you posting again! ![]() Anyhow, it's bedtime for me so goodnight to anyone still around. 💤💤

Just watched Jay and Alionas jive again just to get warmed up when it comes to actually watching them dance the best dance ever!! Aliona worked ever so hard to choreograph that routine I don't think she gets enough credit for it apparently it magically appeared without any thought... I think this was the right choice for the winners dance as this was the only dance out of any other couple that actually made people think twice about a couple. What do you guys think?

It'll be interesting to see if they do it 'in character' the whole way through, with Jay portraying like John Travolta and Aliona being Uma Thurman. They can't really dance it much better - though they will probably improve on the original. I think everyone will want to do it just like the first time, but even more perfect.

I've also been watching the jive again in the last couple of days since the announcement. Hadn't really watched it very much for ages - I think seeing so many tour videos made me overdose on it a bit
![]() .Now I've fallen in love with the jive all over again, and all of the little things that we noticed before - the little smiles to acknowledge that it was going well, the seamless dancing over the change from one piece of music to the next, the "whoop" from (Tommy?) towards the end of the routine - I was smiling at all of the little moments, including these. I'm so looking forward to seeing it again now. Off to try and make sure lunch is ready and eaten before Wimbledon men's final now!

It’s Sunday, I have stayed away from politics for the morning, I have been good and done the washing, cleaned the bathroom and put the vacuum cleaner round. I have now sat down for 30 mins with a cup of tea. I have had a quick read of the threads down below, which makes it sound like one of those Les Dawson sketches with him dressed as a woman talking over the fence - showing my age there, I only just remember them
![]() In a way it is quite sad but inevitable that the next series is being discussed and the last one put away in a cupboard. Will I watch the next series...yes in all probability I will, even when I got to the point of loathing Brucie I still watched it, albeit I recorded it and fast forwarded through major parts ![]() Will I get so involved again...no I don’t for a second think I will, I had enjoyed and followed other contestants before but never in a million years the way I became so caught up in J and A. In a way I think I am glad that Aliona made the decision to leave, there would have been enormous pressure on her, if she had been given a no-hoper then it wouldn’t matter how much of a no-hoper then some of the, I’ll be polite “negative posters” would have used it to prove she only wins with a “ringer” and if she had been given someone with potential then she would be seen as “being protected by the BBC”, sort of quoting what one poster from “down below” said there. So it is best she went out on a high - she left at the optimum time - the best too much ever. Roll on the next chapter - wherever that eventually takes both J and A. Anyway, I better go and do some shopping otherwise the cupboard will remain bare. |

Done the ironing, cooked the lunch, watched British Grand Prix and am now going to have another look at the jive. It is ages since I did.
(Don't watch tennis!) |

I'm in agreement about Aliona bowing out on a high. She would have been given a no-hoper for sure and that would have been painful to see after Jay and also to read and listen to the catty comments and comparisons. Still, we might get to see her back on ITT as a guest on the sofa - Friday panellist maybe ?
Not bothered about the tennis either, though I would have watched it had it been different players definitely. When Federer and Nadal were battling it out I was an avid watcher. I've also done some washing and ironing, and a bit of tile grouting above my bath

Hi TT!
The announcement that J&A will be doing the Jive as the winners dance in the Launch Show. apparently it was rubbish the first time / Aliona copied the choreography (duh! It's from a film) Jay was awful/a professional /it was rubbish because it didn't get a 40 / Etc etc - according to the MF *sigh -rolls eyes* |

Have to say, it was even better! Jay was much more relaxed, his arms and body more fluid. He was simply a better dancer. That doesn't take away from how good it was in week 3. It just means that by the end of the tour, it rated a 10.5. |
