Mmm...45 mins to Leominster then it's just down the road from there, about an hour to Wales - in my turbo Focus. Will probably stop in Rhayader for a meal, very nice pub there. It's number 1 son's graduation, someone told him today it's mostly conducted in welsh so could be interesting

Mine were half in Welsh too, quite enjoyed It but only knew what they were saying because they did it all in English too. Graduating over here takes twice as long!

With you all the way on this, Lola. I spent my teens and early twenties studying, but I loved it, and I did have quite a few gentlemen friends (ahem!): Late twenties and thirties it was work, have baby, work, rinse and repeat.....again wonderful, best time of my life in fact. Bit downhill since then, with some sunny uplands too. Best thing is to make the most of what we have, I think.....and live for the moment. So enjoy that trip to Wales, Lola!

Hi bubble, been wondering where/how you all were. Glad you approve of hannah's deputyship.

I didn't go to my graduation as I'd just got a job, but I do recall the heady days of bilingualism -my favourite being in a SU meeting where one speaker gave a 5 minute speech in Welsh and then in English 'as it was intended for the Saesneg among you'. We had our own instant translator however, so it fell a bit flat.
