So I'll leave you with a favourite photo from the year I had a very serious back problem and had to rest between classes, and Becks decided to rest with me.....

Your pictures are so moving, what a lovely relationship you had. I do hope you feel better soon. You must be emotionally drained and that is when we get ill. ove Jan Bx.

Yes, long fingers - that's exactly what I think of when I see this picture

I have had a Jayjob thought, I know bit early for a Sunday morning to be having such thoughts. I am going to have to research this one a bit as it involves his beard and I know that is being looked after. When he is in Big he is going to have to shave every day and I get the distinct impression that he is not overstruck on shaving so I would be willing to to help him with this onerous task, I would spread foam gently over his face and use a safety razor to remove all trace of stubble and then massage balm into him to keep his little face moisturised and supple so he retains his youthful appearance as Josh. Just going off into a little daydream now...

Jnb - it's difficult to know what to say, except you will always have your memories of him, they will never go. Hope you feel better soon x

Raff - sorry I didn't say I liked your poem, I'm hopeless at responding to things where it seems everyone has started to talk about something else, I should just say I like something even if it is pages back.

ahouch - hope you feel better soon.”

BIB 1 Oh yes Lola
BIB 2 It's never too early for a Jaydream

Rafferty
I love your poems please keep them coming as and when jaynspiration strikes
Hugs to you Jnb I heard this quote when I was having a tough time & it gave me something to hang on to - "don't cry because, it's over smile because it happened"
Hope all who are poorly feel better soon.

Doing my duty & leaving this pic of a post shower shoot J

And your lovely poem was probably read by, and resonated with, many of the people who follow this thread but have never registered to post. I'd be very encouraged by that.

Hopefully more people around tomorrow to keep thread going. He will be back soon.

Anyway, either night night if you are reading this now or good morning if you reading this tomorrow ”

BIB1 Thanks for posting - I had seen Demons but not the Only You one before and had forgotten about Jay writing some of the songs - really has a lovely voice
Actually when looking at Demons reminds me of how good The Wanted were as a group - hopefully they will collaborate again, at some point
BIB2 Thanks for making me laugh this afternoon - the lads, including, jay showed their competitive sides in the Balloon competition - it was a funny watch

ETA - Edited only to make post shorter - Happy Sunday - am off to enjoy sun while it is available today

Having computer problems at present, processor fan has decided to give up so while waiting for new one can only run for a few minutes before everything starts glowing red. I have pages to catch up on, so thanks in advance for all the videos, poems etc I haven't yet seen!

The BIG Beard job doesn't seem to clash with anything I can remember, but there are a couple of complementary ones - will report back asap (fan due Wednesday but who knows?)

On behalf of my adopted country, thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.

WIJ ad inspiration. Just seen the new meercat ad, looks like someone's been taking inspiration from J. In true adworld fashion,....See a good idea? Pinch it! I don't think they've quite got it right - J would have been a better bet.

It's on YT 'Compare the Market - Meercat Movies Macaulay Culkin'

I think they're running out of credible scenarios. The last one that really worked was Igor returning to his roots in Africa. The Arnie and Nicole ads obviously haven!'t had the same impact!

I was watching a Wanted interview and one of the boys mentioned that Jay is from a travelling family. I've read so much about him but never seen that mentioned before.I wondered if anyone else had. If you read the comments someone says they already knew that and did it make him a gypsy! I found it really interesting and wondered,if its true, does that go some way to explaining his 'itchy feet'.?
Now, as I haven't even reached numpty status I have now idea how to post the interview but its on you tube XL106.7 ORLANDO-live chat with the wanted and is about 3.51 in.
By the way, re Jays ballroom dancing I totally agree with Korkys lovely words.

jackyjob, I believe Maureen (Jays mum) is from a well known Irish travelling family - but I'm sure one of TW Sooperfans (speedy? McG?) can confirm in far more detail than me.

This interview?

Jackybob - are you watching Youtube on a laptop - if yes I will try to write you some simple instructions so you can post a video.

But first you should really take off your date of birth from your profile.

At the top of the page, when you are signed in, you should see the words User CP, click on them and it should take you to another page, on the left hand side you should see Edit Profile, click on the words and you go to another page where your date of birth is shown. Under that is the word Privacy and a drop down menu, click and choose one that doesn't show your full date of birth. Then scroll to bottom of page and save changes.

We will get you whizzing round the keyboard and internet and posting videos before you know it.

Traveller J

When you return
You'll drink beer, not shots,
Tie some hearts in knots.

When you are home
You can speak a little quieter to be heard.
I'll take you at your word.

When you leave behind the warm breeze
You'll feel the cold wind more,
But then you know the score.

When you feel the pull to come back
And leave the ocean for the land,
No more quite as free a hand.

The lamp in my heart's window
Will light your way back
As you change tack.

Shall you travel to search for what you need
Only to return home to find it,
No more to champ at the bit?

Thanks to Jackybob for the Jaynspiration. Sorry it's rather clumpy.

Jay is evidently the only one who is still in touch with all of the others. It seems that just about everyone whose life he touches remembers him with affection.

Hadn't seen this interview before - and my how likeable is Jay in it - joking, self-deprecreating, funny, quirky. Thanks for posting Janet

Apologies in advance - I composed a much better "ditty" when walking that day - needed a pen and paper to write them down.😌

🌟 Jaliona Dreaming🌟

Leaving Logrono I trod and whine
Then a glance across the olive trees and vines🍇
Causes my heart to soar spotting
Graffiti just a single word ‘Once’

Transported to that rumba inspired dance💃
Limbs suddenly lightened as in a trance
Jaliona ✨magic ✨descending on my day
Dreaming, smiling I continue the way

Later I spot El Toro 🐂 stood proud upon a hill
and think Red Paso’s passion, power of will
The beauty of my surroundings enhanced🏞
With heartening memories of a commanding dance

Walking through ripened barley fields🌾
Those Lemon, cream hues as my my mind yields
The Waltz spinning with warmth, smiles, romance
No blister or sting felt, I am in land of dance

Walking through beauty no camera can capture
Reliving all their dances, heart filling with rapture
Escaping, forgetting life worries and pain
Returning again to that magical place and claim,
🌟Jalionadreamland 🌟even if just for one day

Just to put my little 'ditty' in context, the Day 2 on Camino walk was hot, long and there was a LOT of midgets etc. We ended day with blisters, a little sore and bitten.
So Day 3 we set off a bit wearily (feeling a bit sorry for ourselves). I did see that Graffiti (my phone didn't capture it)
and El Toro was a huge big metal sign (posted photo on twitter at the time). These set me off on a day dream of Jaliona dances and renaming judges (and tabloids) Blisters and us fans as the Compeed.(my very best friend when walking )
My day dream got me through the 30km hot walk that day - and I enjoyed it thoroughly thanks to the magical memories the graffiti had evoked
BTW - I didn't get another blister or a bite after that

You've conjured up some wonderful images there, Polly, and I can quite understand how reliving those fabulous dances was such an inspiration, despite the efforts of the blisters and midges, which I assume were cunningly cast as the fudges.....

Great stuff!

Just wondering about taking a December break to Dublin.... Never been there before, but it is tempting...the atmosphere will be incredible, I'm sure.

BIB1 - Oh yes! I cast them in those roles with glee
BIB2 - If you do decide to come over for BIG - let me know as can recommend hotels nearby (have previously but can't remember which Part or page number).
The Luas (Light rail system) works on that line are finished and it has restarted
running (travelling) down to the stop near Bord Gais Theatre again.
As Christmas time, Dublin will be busy with Christmas shopping and parties but will be well lit up like all cities with Christmas lights etc. Unfortunately the National Crafts Fair (usually worth a visit finishes 4th Dec (before BIG starts) but there should be a smaller ones on
