BIB1 Looks like my wish on this won't be happening anytime soon ..if ever

Interesting and not surprising he still rates Jay very highly.
Aw well roll on Jay Keep Dancing and BIG

ETA: Apologies for quoting myself
That piece has more holes than a Swiss cheese, and in my view is best taken with a ladle of salt. But it is a splendid example of journalistic twaddle in purporting to be about Siva, whilst actually being an interview with Nathan - who didn't totally rule out a reunion anyway.

If the time is right, the planets are in alignment and the finances sufficiently tempting, I wouldn't rule anything out. In any case, I think that Jay, Max, Tom and Siva did pretty well on their own.

If they were to regroup, I think their music would benefit hugely from their different experiences since the hiatus, so who knows?

ETA just seen your post about Dublin, thank you. Very tempting indeed....

Just popping in to say lovely poems Korky and Polly.

Fingers crossed our wanderer returns soon Korky. Wonderful images evoked by your poem Polly, obviously aided by having seen some of your pics on Twitter.

Jackybob/ JNB - thanks for the link to the interview. That's one of my absolute favourites. He comes across so well and looks delicious to boot! X

One of my favourite Wanted clips - Jay and Nathan working together really well in the studio. Its one of the few clips of them actually recording. The both look really happy in this video, and it seems their friendship has lasted despite everything else that has happened.

Check out Jay teasing Nathan over lunch when he is grumbling about his sandwich- 'maybe they though you wanted the children's lunch...;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErjXPH9zgqw

Love all the poetry - keep up the good work everyone!

Apologies in advance - I composed a much better "ditty" when walking that day - needed a pen and paper to write them down.😌

🌟 Jaliona Dreaming🌟

Leaving Logrono...
A good example of three-way inspiration, Polly: elements seen and felt in the landscape etc putting you in mind of the dancing and then those memories inspiring the writing. Yes, never be without pen and paper for those moments when stimulus meets imagination! 📝

Polly and all poets and writers out there.
Forget the pen. Ditch the paper.
Get a dictaphone and catch each and every syllable of your musings.
These can be posted at your leisure and for our pleasure.

I know that little machine helps me

(Ooh sorry am, I yet again, being too cheeky ......)
Had neither on the day - too busy dreaming and walking!
I did a creative writing class/course once and the lecturer gave us the advice
of putting a notepad/pen beside the bed as we often think of words/phrases when sleeping or awake in middle of night or trying to sleep.

Thanks also BB, Ahouch, Agrion for kind comments.

BTW: Lurked into Ikea thread - loving your posts DD, Cat09T, Fred - very clever and funny
Off now - early start in morn - Nite Nite ☁️😴💤

World Emoji Day today - hence playing with emojis a bit Nite again!

Depends on our methods, Hannah. In essence I usually start with a few words or phrases on a theme then play around adding and subtracting words and lines then draft something then lengthen or shorten and try to shape it all then hone then despair... . It has to be handwriting for me.

I'll whisper this quietly, you don't need to buy a Dictaphone, just download an app for your phone. And pen and paper, yep also use your phone. 😀📱

I'll just vanish now, I've got an app that makes me disappear 😎

See you tomorrow, I promise to behave 😘

Popping by very quickly and I'm on my phone so no fancy multi-quotes tonight.

BW Sorry I didn't respond straight away. Hope your return to the thread is an indication that things have improved for you. Yes, I'm fine, thanks. Accompanied daughter #1 for her latest scan and had my first view of soon-to-be grandson, which was, of course, thrilling.

I think it was Lola who asked about a TW video. I can't recall one answering your description. There are a few where Jay is not his usual bubbly and sharp self. Here's one where he briefly mentions darker times https://youtu.be/PW0OhUcx9s8.
If you remember any other details I can have another rummage through the grey cells.

Jackybob Jay does have familial connections to the Irish travelling community through his mum. He's confirmed that a few times, when others have brought it up.

I have to go now...work and a midnight deadline beckons.

Stay safe everyone.

I only used it for boring reports but it managed to catch my thoughts.
But then I agree I needed to tidy everything up on Word. (And I wasn't very good at Word.......)

My daft doggerel is invariably sparked off by a one-liner, then takes up residence in the mind the better to torture me like a song on the brain. There's no respite until the whole thing takes form and I'm ready to tap it out sometimes hours or days later. Walking is great because you can fit in with the rhythm of the rhyme, as long as you don't bump into pokemon fans or teens on their iphones.

For longer pieces, and after enduring embarrassing sabotage at the hands of tape machines in days of yore, shorthand has never let me down. Even when I've sat for ages wondering what on earth somebody actually said, it will jolt the memory and I have an action replay of that moment in the conversation and can carry on.

But the best fun of all is the brain-stretching bardic banter!

Personal Soldier at around 14:22, they leave stage and there's a little story to the whole gig, then it runs into Lets Get Ugly around 19:20
But you'll miss out on some golden bits if you skip through to the tracks, the production in its entirety is pretty impressive.

Oh I will definitely watch all of it Jnb.
I would do so now ( me belonging to Insomniacs United) but I would just be waking himself up and I don't think I would be Miss Popularity if I did that.
So I reckon I can get away with two numbers on the QT and dive straight in tomorrow morning for the full show.

Rabbit hole here I come for a brief taster until the morning

Although we have seen this pic courtesy of Katie Arabella during her trip to LA..
It is amusing to read Jay's take when applied to their hike up a mountain

Morning all, I'm back!

Phew, it's hot here

I hope everyone has been busy voting while I was away. Jay in the Final, so an easy choice for some of us. Not so easy for the Aliona fans, as he's up against Harry Judd.

https://monkseal.wordpress.com/2016/...orld-cup-2016/

So VOTE VOTE VOTE.

Here's a nice cocktail as a reward.🍸

Off now to catch up and read what I've missed.

I'm here Jnb. Just been transferring a Falling Slowly chapter over to word quickly.

It's a relief that there is finally a bit more promo for KD. Hopefully ticket sales will soar now!

Welcome back Strictly btw.

I'm currently in the hairdressers - first ever professional hair colour!

Good to see J's tweet this morning, even if it was accompanying a pic we've already seen. I do hope he'll be home for his Birthday. They must need to do a bit of rehearsing for KD even if they know the steps already!

Aaaw! That's such a moving tribute to his mum.

Speaking of birthdays...I dug this out, from after his 21st. Typical Jay, in many ways...always thinking of others.

Had a really busy weekend with a houseful of people - so have a lot to catch up on.

Have voted (sorry Strictly , have had to edit some Smilies)

I'm definitely an 'old' type Strictly dance fan. I voted for J because I think that in his best dances he's better than anyone else .

Think Aliona and before her, Erin, were 2 of the best teachers Strictly has had.

I loved Colin Jackson's grace and appreciated he started as an absolute beginner - wasn't even a musician - so I voted for him as well as J in the earlier rounds. I liked Chelsea and Georgia so was happy to vote for them too.

Thought Harry maybe had the edge over J in some ballroom dances and I liked his partnership with A, so voted for him in earlier rounds.

But J at his best is better - not just in the Jive, but in the Tango, the Rumba, the Paso, the Waltz so early on, the Charleston, the ....

Liked the poems and acrostics on the last page or two - will have to go back to read the earlier ones, but am sure they'll be as good.

Hope the poorly ones are feeling better.

Hope the hair is very glamorous ahouch

Am convinced that J is posing is that Instagram to show he hasn't slipped back. Funny caption to the photo

Thanks for the appreciation PollyT - and second your appreciation of other posters .
I seem to have lost the knack for the IKEA thread

Glad there's some publicity out jnb for KD - looks set out to appeal to J and A fans and dance fans and Strictly fans.

Will go off and read all the posts I've missed over the weekend
