I love Gary Wilmot and he was great in Me and My Girl - I thought nobody could top Robert Lindsay, but he did!

What's wrong with DVO? I think she'll be fine, although J better watch himself, she seems attracted to men with curls..... I don't recognise the young girl, but she's blonde and pretty, so I doubt J will have a problem with that. And the Hoosier singer has the right look, although I've never heard of the group (but then, I'd never heard of TW or Jay before Strictly!).

As several have said, a good bank of MT experience for J to draw on, he must be very happy about that - you can see there's good rapport already between him and GW. They'll have a blast.

I see Damien's saying dates for the West End will be announced at the right time, so I'm assuming that's when the theatre's confirmed - there was a bit of discussion about that on this thread some time ago. Can't wait!

No worries about the PR - it's a big investment and interest will be high because it opens during the next Strictly series, so I'm anticipating plenty of press coverage.

So while anxiously waiting for the Final Results Show, I’m feeling like someone
just punched me in the stomach ..okay maybe exaggerating a teeny bit but was deflated like a very flat tyre The questionable voting and negative vibes “had they not received the happy face memo??” I was waaay past just wibbling now.

Results Show
Behind the scenes VT Aliona tells Jay “the little mistakes you recovered so well” (after QS) & “I loved every little step” (showdance) to which Jay responds “Me too” and draws Aliona for his famous Jay hug . Aw Bless! I smile –it was a ‘you and me against the world’ scene.

4th couple elimination
Scene set with the 4 couples standing there -Jaliona stood holding one another close, looking resigned. Anton too looked a little worried stood at the far end with Katie
Surely not Jaliona – Tess says “Katie and Anton”…phew!
I felt a little sorry for them as they walked towards Tess and was proud of Jaliona for being the only couple to step out of line to give them a consoling hug – Kanton needed one for going out at that stage. Then a touching moment when Anton says to Aliona “Good Luck to you” and she takes his face in her hands..I think Anton is rooting for Jaliona..he gets them too!!
Lines re-open – Jaliona smile almost sheepishly when their number is called out and they look at one another & smile as if to say “Well this is it” Please please please let it go well
Pre dance VT
Lovely vid with Jay reliving his Strictly experience and speaking so lovingly about his Mum “like butter’ Oh! to have a son like Jay – can he get any better???
Then just in case we hadn’t heard her before, Aliona reiterates that Jay is “the best dance partner I’ve ever had”, how he “progressed so much as a performer and a dancer” and had “so much fun”. Yes one special couple our Jaliona!

Final Dance ‘Red Paso’ Aliona: “the perfect dance as our last farewell”
Sit upright 2 ft from TV again …yes I know not good for eyesight but will chance it for 1.5 minutes..praying, willing them on…forget the wibbling…THIS IS IT!!!
Scene is set in red hmm wonder why only red ?– no matter - concentrate fingers & toes crossed Go Jaliona! – Show those fudges “a Paso that has real guts” ..make them eat their words!!!!
Standing opposite, music starts, they prowl towards one another – almost a duel-bodies arched-chest out-beautifully shaped arms – feeling really excited-liked it first time loving what I am seeing now - proud
“I ain’t going to be just a face in the crowd” by Golly Jay after this you certainly won’t – they circle one another outstretched arms touching one anothers faces, challenging one another, every sinew, finger stretched to give the most fabulous lines and shaping.
Then “Going to hear my face when they shout it out loud” do I see a smile? Are they meant to smile? Cant blame them I’m smiling? Hope those pesky fudges aren’t going to pick on this.
The power in Jays arms – My hands holding my face with excitement & pride.
“Frankie said I did it my Way” and our two are smiling broadly as they head into that triumphant one armed floor spin. What strength Jay has – he flings his arms in the air drops to his knee, taps his chest “Its my Life” and pulls Aliona up to him
“I’ve got you Girl” I jump up from my chair in delight – performance of the night – the electricity they created – what must have it been like to have witnessed that Paso live in the studio.

Go Jay and Aliona you showed those fudges what you are made of!!!

Jays “Heavily tranquilized…just kidding” raises a big laugh and defiantly states “Whatever happens that was the perfect end for me” Well its not for me Jay – you were the Star and King of SCD 2015 and for anyone else to win would be a travesty. Feel helpless-am not allowed vote and believe me I researched to find ways and failed.

The Results
I am on tenderhooks – text sister “I’m worried” – she is not happy with the nights events either …depending on you now GBP to see justice done. Now sitting 1 ft away from TV.....Everything crossed again …please please please Jay and Aliona looking down feeling its not their night – hey don’t despair yet!!

Tess: The winners of Strictly Come Dancing 2015 are.duh dum duh dum has to be them... Jay and Aliona!!! – Jump up Yes Yes Yes – fist pumps in the air.
The surprise on their faces – they genuinely did not expect to win – did they not realize how much love was out there for them. Jays voice chokes as he tells Aliona “One of the most special things I’ve ever done with the most special person” and then hugs and checks “Are you alright” (he cared so much it was her last SCD)– They are in tears – I am in floods FAN-JAY-TASTIC!!!🎉

Like you, I had a compulsion to kneel inches from the TV screen during the final paso, as though getting closer was going to help Jaliona in some way! Of course it wasn't, but there I was anyway, because at that point I think I had used up my phone credit. Then, as I realised that yes, this was going really rather well, the smile gradually spread across my face, just like them.

I can't remember who said it on here, but that last spin of Aliona around the floor, with his other arm stretched up - he was also looking upwards, so how difficult was that to keep balance. I've just tried turning slowly while looking upwards, and I felt dizzy even holding on to the kitchen worktop!

Isih - thanks so much for your tireless work on the Jayjobs. I have no idea how you keep track of them all. I am very happy with mine!😀

Polly - wonderful review. I love the way you describe how you were feeling throughout. I feel like I was there with you. I remember leaning forward in my chair, wine in hand and just saying wow and oh my god through the majority of the paso and winners announcement! Then it got messy, more wine, red button interview, rewinding and rewatching again and again. More wine...it was 1am by the time I went to bed and *looks both ways* don't tell anyone but I was sick in the toilet.😳 The next day was dreadful. Sooo tired, soo hungover. But they won! Gangsta!😎

He made it look effortless didn't he ? Also in the green Paso he had to use both arms to spin her, but managed with just his Rt arm only for the red Paso. Goes to show he'd developed much strength and power in his arms and back over the three months

First the choice of dance. After it was revealed the judges choice of Quickstep & that they would not dance the jive I was still hoping for either Foxtrot or Argentine Tango. So on ITT when Aliona started to say they wanted to re do a dance they felt they could improve on I was hopeful. Then it was announced as the Paso – huh? didn't think there was much wrong with it first time round. At that stage it was one of the dances I watched most often. Thought it was pretty damn good as it was.

How wrong was I. From the first note when J raised his head, arched his by now beautifully toned & taut body and lunged purposefully towards Aliona it was clear this was a different animal indeed. And so it continued throughout the routine. The Jayblocking strong & powerful. Beautiful shaping & body lines. How long are those arms & how magnificent that torso. Barely contained raw masculine power yet still elegant & graceful with arms & hands (I think I am a little obsessed with his hands).

And throughout the little smiles and glances between them saying so much without words. The smiles get bigger - Alionas' when they make the handhold that was missed first time. By 'Frankie says I did it my way' they are beaming at each other because they cannot help it & are dancing totally as one & for each other. J winks at Aliona then prepares for the last spin. No need for two hands this time. He raises his face & arm triumphantly, taps his chest & pulls Aliona to him. Simply majestic.

I didn't want to watch the other dances ( I think I did the washing up & made a cup of tea) but caught the end of GG's & thought don't know if it is the camera angle but that last spin looks out of sync but the fudges didn't mention it. Also caught Lens' outrageous (IMO) KK comments & shouted at the TV.

And so to the announcement of the winners – Jay & Aliona!!! YESSS!! I felt so relieved that common sense had prevailed. Aliona looks astonished & J hides his face, hiding the emotions threatening to erupt. Claudia trips on her dress. Too slow Claude – Tess has already got her mitts on J. They manage a few words before emotion takes over. Then some lovely images. Aljaz & Gleb lifting J on their shoulders – how steely is that core?. Tristan enveloping Aliona in a huge bearhug. Little Georgia tapping J on the back to get his attention then being hugged & lifted with one arm while Aliona is already in the other. Giovanni hugging J & checking he is ok.

Then the lovely red button interview. J & A seemed to have composed themselves. There is giggling with Anton & Katie. J laughs uproariously at Zoes' predicament then casually dismisses the showdance opening – 'It's only supporting your own body weight' like anyone could do it! And together they thank their supporters acknowledging all the ups & downs along the way. And it's over grace &integrity & being true to themselves to the last. And we loved them for it.

(sorry if I have rambled a bit)


ETA And to the doubters that the best couple won the scores (ignoring the manipulated Quickstep & irrelevant final ones) show that they did.

I've seen him in Chicago & Pirates of Penzance (as a Ben Sisko from DS9 lookalike) & think he is great - a good mentor/role-model for J. Like some of you on here not too keen on DVO - didn't like her & JJ on strictly

I would like to apply for the job as Keeper of the Crayons, and no Korky this is not covered by your Painting Companion role. As Keeper I would ensure his crayons are always to hand and are never lost, unlike his phone and passport. I would keep them in a special pencil case together with a special crayon sharpener. I would ensure his crayons are always kept sharp and never allowed to go blunt. I believe I would excel in this role and look forward to receiving confirmation of my appointment.

PS I would like to remind Korky that he is only on loan for her plumbing problems and she should stop undoing all his good work whilst he is asleep. I know he is a trusting soul and at the moment is unsuspecting and unsuspicious of her nefarious motives but his Handyman jobs are piling up and he is needed back in Handyman HQ asap. There are a lot of colouring in jobs to be attended to.

Bravo the reviewers, Polly-T and Whiffle - took me right back to that nerve jangling night, two feet from the TV, hissing and snarling at the fudges whilst clutching the phone and shaking with rage as I punched in the numbers. But they won! Stamped. Official.
