Good morning all. I have been without internet for about a week because I was on holiday in Hungary so I couldn't vote.
![]() We went home yesterday but only got across the border to Slovenia because of car trouble. Hope the car can be fixed here. Had to book an appartement here in Radenci for the night. The positive in this is that I have a very good internet connection here and did vote last night till the end. Don't know if it helped much but I gave it a try and enjoyed myself doing it and reading this AT again. The owners of this appartment are very helpfull and will go to the car service station with us. Hope we can go home today but don't think that will happen. Still have 30 pages to catch up on. Will try to read them all when I get home again.

Well done to everyone who voted over the weekend, it was fun yesterday. On Saturday when I was voting it did feel like at times, when the percentage was going down with every click, that no one else seemed to be voting, even though I knew they were. When the numbers came back it felt oddly comradely, with every click you felt that you knew who was voting at the same time. I'm sorry I coudn't make it quite to the end, had to drop out at 10.45 when I started poking his face more than I was voting
![]() Have a good day, albeit clutching sore wrists, fingers, cricked necks, frozen shoulders - it was worth it

Morning everyone!
Couldn't agree more Lola - it was a fun day yesterday. Daft, but fun. ![]() I was glad that the RT put the figures up, I just wish they had done it sooner. In the end I made it to about 11.45, so didn't quite see the ending, but what a great total! Well done to all! Hello karin, great to hear from you and lovely to think you were able to get a bit of voting in. Good luck with getting home today. ![]() Have a great day one and all. x |

Morning all.
Great day yesterday! Hadn't planned on a night shift but didn't get to bed until 3.30am anyway. Ancient laptop that hasn't seen the light of day since Strictly voting decided it needed 121 updates before it would close down ![]() Sore eyes, head and fingers but would do it all again. ![]() On another topic, does anyone have tix for Fusion Festival? Still no mention of Jay in the promo material. Wonder what role he has? Host, backstage interviews, may be Nathan might share the stage with his old mate??? Safe journey Karin! |

I feel a bit ashamed now of my lack of stamina last night
Could I have managed another 400 clicks? My fingers say no, this morning ![]() But it was fun, wasn't it! Hi Karin - hope you get the car fixed quickly and safe journey home. Just think, if you hadn't broken down, you wouldn't have been able to vote. Everything happens for a reason ![]() Just noticed the page number - if I'm to get things on page 200 I'd better get proof-reading, sadly neglected yesterday (middle keys are not being struck as firmly as they should, I wonder why? )

Thanks StrictlyR, Speedy and Isih. OH is in Maribor now with the car (60 km here) waiting for the verdict wether repair is possible or not. We have motor problems and can't drive faster than 80 km/ph. We (my daughter, her friend and me) had a lovely breakfast on the terras of our apartment. Lazy day. Waiting for news and catching up on this AT starting at page 164.
Have a nice day all. |

FAB-U-LOUS effort on the late shift - nearly 240k votes ![]() Maybe if I'd stayed awake a wee bit longer.......As others have said it was really fun yesterday if a little painful at times Quote:
Reckon someone was making mischief though at the last minute because about 4 minutes before the poll closed Jay had 37.82% of the vote (238,577 votes) and Aidan was on 62.18% with 392,320 votes. At the close Aidan's votes had increased by 1998 (in 4 or 5 minutes!!!
) reducing Jay's share of the vote to 37.79%. Jay's share of the vote had increased from 5.35pm, when it was 37.44% (186153 votes, compared to Aidan's 311,111 votes.) We added 53,331 votes in just under five-and-a-half hours, which I thought was pretty good going, but pathetic compared to the other semifinal where frankly the voting was insane. Provided my addition is correct, at 5.51pm the total votes were 4,437,130. Six hours (and nine minutes ) later the total was 8,567,099 - that's over half a million votes an hour! ![]() ![]() That's 41.7 votes per second![]() ![]() ETA - Nearly burnt my tealoaf as I was too busy doing maths to hear the oven timer 😮😮 Last edited by Whiffle_09 : 01-08-2016 at 11:14. I thought you might like to see a message from one of Aiden Turner's fans...
@TheRealRemmyMax's Tweet: https://twitter.com/TheRealRemmyMax/...612058112?s=09 #JayMcGuiness fans I want to thank you for the fair and fun contest. You guys are good people. Be proud of your guy and yourselves! I think it's true to say we are very proud...of both. ![]() Bit of a contrast to the outcome of the other semi-final...they're not happy! ![]() We are good people. ![]() Was it silly? Just a bit ![]() Was it fun? You betcha it was ![]() Could I feel the Jalionista solidarity stretching across the sea to me. Oh yeah

![]() Maybe if I'd stayed awake a wee bit longer.......As others have said it was really fun yesterday if a little painful at times Loving the maths Nellie I've worked out that over the course of the poll lasting 57 hours the average vote on the other semi was a suspiciously mind-blowing 150,299 votes per hour compared to our (IMHO) very respectable & honest 11,119 . ![]() That's 41.7 votes per second![]() ![]() ETA - Nearly burnt my tealoaf as I was too busy doing maths to hear the oven timer 😮😮 ![]() ![]() http://jaylands.tumblr.com/post/1387...-that-are-like |

But this poor birdie's one claim to fame Is it's unfortunate Latin name For it can hardly be considered a plus to be known as Turdis Torquatus |

To everyone who has been using their Maths skills lately...remember what Jay said about how young TW fans shouldn't skip school and should learn Maths?
Well I think our time in the classroom came in handy yesterday! |

I think it would have been more interesting if the battle between Jay and Aidan had been the final.

Afternoon everyone, just letting you know that I joined in with you all voting for J. Wasn't sure if it worked from here (berlin) but, of course it did. You all did a wonderful job. It did seem as though there were strange goings on though. Ah well, we did our best.

What will happen in the final is that Poldark will be annhilated by getting 90+% of votes, no question.
Which will make a mockery of the whole thing QED |

A timely reminder that there were so many Jay supporters around the world that have never heard of the Radio Times but responded to the clarion call and did their best to spread the word and voted. There were still tweets from S America encouraging people to vote, long after the poll had closed. |

![]() As jnb said, we did it our way ![]() Before I go off poem collating, I just want to share one spark I felt yesterday but didn't have time to post about. Lola said she felt a bit like Eeyore every time the % went down when we couldn't see the vote numbers. ![]() And that reminded me of a thought I had when watching one of the TW links posted (probably by speedy, jnb or Lola herself, can't remember who; heck, I can't even remember which song it was ).The other four band members were moving around the stage in a fashion, sometimes even in time to the music. ![]() And then there was Jay, in constant motion, in perfect time to the music, full of enthusiasm and radiating positive energy, bouncing from one end of the stage to the other. ![]() And I thought to myself, "He's just like Tigger". ![]() *cue a CatO Winnie the Pooh parody *

We were kind of hoping this week (i.e today!) they'd start training but maybe if not, next week?
Aliona tweeted she was back in the gym last week. |
