Morning campers and J

Polly - hope you have a lovely holiday.
Hannah - but I already look like that (in my dreams) - meet you in the park for a quick warm-up
Korky - I have this image of you this morning
Red - you have your twitter profile on here - where else did you think he got it from...just saying.
Gill P - Happy Birthday, hope it's a good one.

And finally, I hate boxing but RIP Ali, achieved so much more than boxing - floating like a butterfly now.

BIB - Uh oh!

P.S. Love your link to the photo of Korky. Didn't know what she looked like until now.

Off out for the morning! See you all later.

Hi Everyone!

Phew... Trying to catch up with this thread is like chasing down an express train... After getting as far as the Charleston reviews I decided to just jump in. I promise I'll go back and read what I've missed as and when I get the chance (loved the rumba and VW reviews, particularly the differing opinions of the VW - will add my views in the amnesty weeks!)

Thank you to everyone for the Red Paso final reviews, I've loved all of them, be they poetry or prose. Polly I too felt like a 'flat tyre' that night, gosh they did a number on us all didn't they! In contrast however rather than get closer to the screen I was almost hiding behind my cushions! The night was redeemed for me by a few things, the warmth between Jaliona and Kanton (I've always wondered if Anton knew Aliona was leaving), the fact that they won (obviously) and the joy from most of the celebs and pros at the outcome.

The fudges annoyed me a lot that night, but as for the red button interview with Craig and Darcey I actually think they were set up to give a favourable answer to the KK question by the deliberate way JV put the question. It was along the lines of 'wouldn't you imagine someone with that score should/would have won'. Though Darcey responded with a 'yes' I never interpreted that as her meaning that Jay shouldn't have won, Craig however made some backhanded snide comment and to me his horns and tail grew longer 👹.

This is my favourite image of the night, it just sums up everything for me, no need for words....

Oh my, that picture, I haven't seen it before. Heart vacancy filled.....

Gill - Happy Birthday! Apologies for missing it before.

What a roller coaster day.
After posting earlier how I had gone from being down because of hospital treatment to over the moon at being followed by Jay I get a phone call to say that my daughter's dance teacher of 15 years passed away today.
Sam is devastated. She has been teaching her since she was 3 but we had known her for many years.
Sam is due to take 3 dance exams on Monday and although is heartbroken she is going to dance her heart out for her.
How sad for you both. Here's wishing for the exams to go well and for Sam to know that she has done her very best in tribute.

He is nearing the end of his plumbing work and will be examining my admittance valve tonight. However, he has very kindly volunteered to start on my electrics next. As to his sleeping arrangements, the bunkbeds have collapsed () and so I have been putting him up in my own bed:

Sorry, Korky, but I'm starting to feel that Jay must be suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. You should release him for his own good. I'm sure you're cat enough to do it.

I think losing the best pros may have had an effect - especially Aliona. But what to change and what to keep? I think it's largely good judgement that's sorely lacking, and not only on the panel.

Watching the homework clips just now, it's so irritating how the image keeps cutting away before I can focus on who it is - at it's worst during the Quackathon. It's that kind of production issue that needs looking at too.

And don't get me started on the issue of dancing dynasties...
^^^^ this

I apologise in advance - my first attempt at a ditty - just wanted (pardon the pun) to do something different from my usual long winded review

Wanted - Who? What? Where?

So Jay and Aliona never be in doubt
for Wanted you are
and we your Jalionafans
just Wanted you to know
Well summed up and written. Congratulations

Off to bed...

As I'm not sure I can top the Brighouse band I'm going back to the beginning. This is Yusuf/Cat Stevens classic, J always says he is a favourite.

https://youtu.be/U5sSEkZ86ts

And this may be a bit political for some so please don't feel obliged to watch. This is Yusuf/Cat Stevens only a couple of days ago, he still sounds good.

https://youtu.be/CGthQ73VPHQ

Night night sweet dreams
Both good!

Gah! I missed it!😪
Me too. Must have been a good rant for hannah to take it down!

BIB Wow. 11 jobs. Impressive. You'll have to make sure you hang on to them, though. I've only got 3 or 4, and I see Korks has muscled in on one of them. Not only that. She wrestled me to the floor, earlier in the year, and made off with my Rollocks' Polisher. What is she like?
If you like, I can resurrect the Gondola pole job for future reference!

Morning campers and J

Indeed - I remember his saying (appropos of the way he was brought up) that if he'd been a garbage collector he'd have tried to be the best garbage collector ever

BIB - yes, I thought very unprofessional of him. He's now lined up for Kevin's tour, I believe

AND FINALLY

Morning Gill - Happy Birthday to you etc (I don't sing unless there is need for cruel and unusual punishment )

Thanks you one and all for your good wishes. we are going out to an Italian restaurant this evening with most of the family (apart from Dan and Laura).

I have had two lovely presents so far. A huge box of pastels for my painting from Tom and a Now TV box from the grandchildren. This took an age to set up (my own fault) and now I have loads to watch! I think I will cancel Netflix as there isn't very much on there we like. Most of the things we have already seen.

By the way, my grandson Tom and his band mate are delighted that they are featured on "introducing" on BBC Radio Solent between 8 and 9 this evening. I have put it on to record.

All FYI Becks had abscess that we had some pus at the heel for 2 days but yesterday it closed up.
X Ray on Monday 9am to see if abscess pocket is visible....simon (vet) doesn't think it will come out at heel now. Maybe sole. If no abscess he is in too much pain now to go on. On 2 types of painkillers but bright in himself.
I am fearing the worst now & I think only a miracle will help.

So Monday will be make or break

Very quick drop in as very busy day today.

Happy birthday Gill
Hope all on or going on holiday have a great time
BB hope next eye operation goes well
Congratulations to Dufnut and Strictly

Thank you to Whiffle for being so prompt with the homework and to StrictlyRed for being reserve. Pity J didn't turn up for tea

If you look back at the homework post and look at when the QS week homework was set, can see that's when J 'followed' what looked like nearly half the thread and caused a collective wibble .

Everything crossed for your lovely Becks jnb xx
There are some lovely thoughts on our wonderful relationship with horses here.

Wise words Lindy.

Gill sounds like a good Birthday. Enjoy!! congratulations to your grandson.

jnb devastating news about Becks .Keeping everything crossed for Monday.

Surprisingly affected by the news of Muhammed Ali's death as I don't like boxing. But he was so much more. Dance in heaven, butterfly.

Also saddened by Muhammed Ali's death. He transcended sport and, in doing so, touched a lot of people's lives.

Yes, I would like to apply for the Jayjob of Personal Pizza Provider. As you know, pizzas are one of J's favourite foods and I like making them and so it seems logical for me to make them to his specification and feed them to him. His tweet this morning proves that he is in desperate need of nourishment -

Jay McGuiness
@ JayMcGuiness
I'm S̶i̶n̶g̶l̶e̶ hungry and ready to ̶m̶i̶n̶g̶l̶e̶ Pringle.
6:51 AM - 3 June 2016
Isih, I hope that you will allocate this position to me as soon as possible as he cannot begin to change his single status with a rumbling tum.

Please put me to the test
To fulfil J's request.
He's lying in his vest
And looking quite distressed
Cos he wants a pizzafest,
So at your behest
Please do make me blessed
And allow what I suggest
Then J can ingest
And afterwards digest
The pizza he loves best.
(And I am not obsessed.)
