TOTALLY OT

Is it just me?

There appears to be a change in programming on BBC1 tonight in order to pay tribute to Mohammed Ali

Much as I respect the man and lament his passing, would it not be good manners on the Beeb's part to show the details of the change between other programmes?

And I would be much happier if it was the soap, Casualty (which I watch), which was ousted rather than our newly-returned Saturday night dose of multiple eye candy. They've not yet had the courtesy to say when it will be rescheduled for

Sorry, rant over

Blame the apero
Panic over, the tribute is on at 9.30 after the multiple eye candy!
Hadn't realised 'multiple eye candy' had returned 😱 Thanks for the 'heads up' 😍👍🏼 however, my sky box is currently saying Casualty is in the 8.30pm slot though 😡

We only found out by accident last week! How can the Beeb not publicise it profusely? They are insane. Hope you can do catchup for episode one - it was a belter!

Damn.

I only have freeview, so my guide probably hasn't caught up yet.

I keep checking in case it's a mistake but it's not changing. Silly decision!

Kevin isn't doing a tour.
Just a couple of nights in Grimsby. Jeremy Vine is joining them.

Giovanni also. Info in local paper linked below in case anyone is interested.
The photo is "interseting".

Signed, stamped, official!

Ultimatum
The scarlet strobes throw light
Their ultimate dance tonight
No need for them to win

He stands alone, head bowed
The music starts so loud
And let the dance begin

A symbolic tug of war
Twixt bull and matador
With added spins and tricks

The shaping of his arms
Belying other charms
He ducks her flying kicks

His proud demeanour shows
He’s shrugged off all the blows
But will they pay the cost?

The breakout smile comes forth
The viewer votes head north
The ultimatum’s lost

When honour conquers all
And ultimatums fall
‘Tis then new life begins

The 4th edition of the poetry collection is now available here:

A flyby post, so sorry for not linking with others, but regarding Jays casting as Josh...I recorded the interview with Producer Michael Rose who described Jay as:

"the most charming, naive, delightful human being who's got a childlike quality about him that is absolutely perfect to play this role of Josh Baskin....we've got three other names that we'll announce later on that will be joining him in the line up here for BIG the Musical"... "he is fantastic. I mean, he is Josh Baskin. We did a big photo shoot on the piano keys, you know that iconic scene in the movie where they're dancing on the big piano keyboard and, er, we went into the studio to see him and one of the other leading men dancing with him and, er, it was just, I mean the hairs on the back of my neck stood up, I was just so excited because we discovered right there and then that we'd made the perfect choice to lead and head up this new musical."

-)
Don't know if any one else has posted to say it looked like this was picked up and tweeted by the Cougz

Was mooching in local Oxfam today with Number 1 son looking at old vinyl hoping to find something that wasn't Matt Monro, Val Doonican or The Sound of Music, why is there always multiple copies of The Sound of Music. Son noticed small section of music related books and as a consequence of his awareness of my regard for J I am now the owner of TW annual 2013 and The Official TW story

So I am armed with all kinds of random knowledge about him that I can translate into jobs - be afraid Korky.

I will quote this though as I found it amusing, TW apparently had a special language of terms and phrases one being:

JAYNIUS
(Noun-portmanteau) A person, like Jay with silly or even dumb intelligence that is just...pure genius.

So the Jayitionary pre-dates us

And according to twitter he has just been seen at Leeds Train station.

I have the TW story too- bought it off amazon a while ago. I meant to type it up to share with everyone on here but unfortunately I lost the file when my laptop updated once my exams are over I will try again as it's really good may even be able to scan it once I get home from uni

Into the Jayctionary it goes, with due acknowledgement

You have a lovely son - nearly as nice as mine

OT again - after Pointless Celebs, the Beeb acknowledge a change of schedule, but WITHOUT specifying Musketeers. I need to dig into the craig epithets, I think

Lovely, Beth, thank you

But can you solve the mystery of the multiple eye-candy

I'm not obsessed, not me, not at all

I've only skim read it so far but his bit does give some interesting insights into him, there is a paragraph where he is talking about how you have to feel the dance not just do the steps.

Hope your exams are going well, my son has just finished and is now doing the rounds of graduate interviews.

WHAT WHAT WHAT

Just for tonight, I trust. Episode 3 is still showing for next Saturday

I might be going off into a serious sulk. We have already eaten all the chocolate

But fortunately have vast reserves of wine, but in any case the Cave is only a kilometre away and our neighbour might just have the keys

Sorry, just going back a bit - 'official' looking tweet - does this mean that unless one is on Twitter one is not entitled to know what's going on in the world? (not you I rage at, just life)
