Hope you are all well.
You may, or may not have noticed that there was a flurry of activity from me at the beginning of the week and then silence once again! Sorry about that. OH went to Manchester for two days so I could post to my heart's content. He's back now so I have to be a bit more sparing again.

Great news about J on Saturday. I'm unlikely to get to watch it and will probably have to wait until bedtime to catch up on the phone. I wonder what he's got to say for himself? Plus will he have had a hair cut and beard trim for the occasion or go eau natural?

Spent time yesterday researching sparkly badges for the Wimbledon meet - I obviously have my priorities right! Spoke to my friend who lives near Wimbledon (Southfields) but they haven't been out in that area much yet so couldn't add anything to the current research. Bill's is always good though, although some are quite small - I have no idea of the size of this one.

The strictly announcements are coming thick and fast now. So far only one I've absolutely no idea about. Daisy Lowe is a good result - super cool individual - I think little miss ahouch will be routing for her of Laura Whitmore. She likes a pretty face!

Completely OT (unless you file it under Jay's desire for kids to learn maths lol) but my son exceeded the A level grades he needed to go to the university of his choice. He's off to Brum in September to do Physics with Particle Physics and Cosmology.

Thank you ladies - always lurking, squeezing it in between dives/races etc. Ijust realised I sounded a bit melodramatic there, I didn't mean to! We're trying to reclaim the (lightly) tarmaced bit which we neglected over the last few years, thinking a bit more garden was ok. That's until everything dried out due to lack of rain and it looked AWFUL! So now digging up lots of couch grass (if that's what it's called) which has grown through the tarmac - vvvvv hard work

Once Olympics/guests/garden dealt with I shall be following the KD news with interest and envy - hannah , if Lola insists on bringing her chainsaw I have a new easy start one you can borrow

Congratulation, junior pitstop! My lad did Physics with Astrophysics at Brum, loved it - and now he's a clinical psychologist

Spent a very hot and exhausting day yesterday helping my friend at Equifest in Peterborough - a huge horse show at which Becks and I were lucky enough to win at in 2012.
Left home at 6.15 am and got home at 2am! Due to the a14 being closed and doing a 40 mile diversion!
Highlights of the day

1. My friend winning a huge Novice horse class on her young Home Bred coloured (this means patches of black and white, or brown and white in horse terms, in a case anyone thought I'm being racist lol) horse then Reserve Champion

2. Hearing one of the chosen tracks during the Evening Peformance....Walks Like RIhanna. The Champion Small Hunter ..I've posted. Video on Twitter as it was ace and perfect music for a championship!

A stressful morning for lots of people I feel! My Nephew got his results today too-pleased to say he got BCC in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Just got to wait for my own son's GCSE results next Thursday now

Also been to Bill's (although not in Wimbledon) and the food was nice-cocktails were yummy too! The branch I went to was quite small but nice setting and atmosphere.

Wanders back in to the thread, whistling nonchalantly, pretending that I haven't been MIA for ages.

I've picked exactly the right time to come back, as I've been able to sign up for the preparations for Keep Dancing at Wimbledon and there's news of a Jay-sighting on Saturday.

Can't now make KD as planned, but hoping that maybe someone, somewhere will be able to catch the AT if it's included. That's the one dance I really, really wanted to see. Hoping to make it to BIG next year though.
