Hi Again.
StrictlyRed -I know what you mean about poignant - depending on my mood I either smile or get a lump in my throat.
Jayfan & sam67Jane - I am glad you like Elbow too -very underrated
Lola- I feel exactly the same about brass bands. Don't worry, I won't tell a soul!

I won't be able to contribute much in the way of poetry or gifs and I don't have the skills of Hannah or Whiffle or many others here to make for interesting contributions, but now I am beginning to get to grips with some of the basic tech I thought I could throw in the occasional music link.

When I think of Jay & Aliona dancing [skating over the small hiccups], this song springs to mind. Don't worry - no more for a few days at least.

Night all.

Off to bedfordshire for me - tonight’s bedtime music for you

I thought about what to post tonight for some time today and this is for you tonight Jay.

It’s Seafret with Wildfire, I chose it because the video reminded me of your heartfelt tweet this morning about being single.

Night night sweet dreams

And Korky - Sushi, he likes veggie sushi

BIB yeah. But he had crossed out the word single and put the word hungry. Hence my tweet (that has floated off into the ether) that it no longer rhymed and was not yet haiku. Over to you there Korky for the haiku bit.
ETA everyone appears to have gone 😴😴

Not doing much. So thought I would post this from
LML--London Management (UK) Ltd.

The Michael Rose production company.

http://www.bigthemusical.co.uk/

The production is getting some favourable responses from other posters although alot seemed to think DVO was gonna be the GF not the mother.

I know she's quite young looking, but she's about 15 years older than J. The right age for the mum of a 12 year old boy but rather old for the GF. Having said that, J is technically a bit young for Josh as an adult (who is 30 I think). Still, that can all become irrelevant on stage if acted well. If they had the right chemistry, they could probably pull it off.

ETA Hannah and RaffertyCat - My Jayjobs only bespeak of how devoted and loyal I am. All friends here?”

Korky, I've said many times on this thread
That I value each post, and each member.
When I occasionally jest
Pinch of salt is the best,
We're all friends, so I hope you remember.

PS. Suggest two (or more) pinches of salt for my next post.

Sorry, Korky, but I'm starting to feel that Jay must be suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. You should release him for his own good. I'm sure you're cat enough to do it.

If you like, I can resurrect the Gondola pole job for future reference!

AND FINALLY

Morning Gill - Happy Birthday to you etc (I don't sing unless there is need for cruel and unusual punishment )”

Resurrect the post of Gondola Pole?
By all means, if you want to risk scolding,
As Korky's not willing
To share the star-billing
Of any Jayjob she is holding.

She's quite willing to share others' jobs, and will go
To great lengths, with meticulous care,
To ensure she is picked
Competition is licked,
But is job-distribution quite fair?

Now don't get me wrong (before there's a throng
Of cross posters in very high dudgeon),
I'm not after more work
As I need time to lurk
To catch up, I'm really not a curmudgeon.

I'm having some fun, and hope that no-one
Will feel they are the butt of my joke.
It is not my intent
To hurt feelings, It's meant
Only gently to tease, not provoke.

The celebrations are more or less finished. But we had a good time and some lovely cards and presents. When we got home we listened to the recording of Thomas and Reuben (Eyes Are Wild) on BBC Radio Solent. He said he would be happy if 20% of those present liked the song. In the event most liked it but it was a bit raucous!

No offence taken.
My faith is unshaken.
I know you are only in jest.
It's just that with J
I get carried away
When I think of his dance-honed chest...

...and curls...and hands...and arms...and feet...and quirkiness...

Just read up about the Big Director Morgan Young.
Director of Elf in 2015 and White Christmas in 2014. Both did limited/8 week runs in the West End.
Middling reviews for both, mainly due to problems with script rather than any individual performances.
Tom Chambers and Aled Jones were in WC. Kimberly Walsh was in Elf. Elf criticised for very expensive tickets.

What price are the WE tickets likely to be compared to Dublin (if it transfers)
If I go the WE is gonna be my best bet but it is still a BIG if. (Sorry for the pun)

Price varies but not unusual for good seats in the stalls or dress circle to be over £100. Can sometimes get cheaper tickets during the week. Grand circle (3rd tier seats) are often about £30 to £40.
