Just listened to the Scott Mills interview with latest Strictly signing Judge Rinder on catch up on Radio One.

I think he's going to be fun to watch - he said he wanted to dance with a Russian. What a pity our favourite one is no longer on the show. Neither a no hoper or winner material, but very entertaining!

Aw, that sucks. I remember there was a sort of speech you could use to avoid that copyright thing. I'll look for it and send it to you. It worked for me in my YouTube days.

I'm trying to download the video, but if it doesn't work, can you please upload it to some place like WeTransfer or something? That way I can download it as a file and upload it to MD

Missed that Red so I will go with your judgement.

He doesn't mean Gorka does he. Where is he from?

No idea where any of the newbies are from.

Gorka is from Spain ( all those height searches have come in useful for something!)

Must be Katya from St Peters burgh then.

Lovely Greg Rutherford. Gawd he's tall. Might be partner for our Natalie 😡

Yes, he could be a partner for Natalie. No dance experience, but could get by on popularity for a while.

Final line up looks good, a mix of known and unknown celebs for me. I should be able to watch without being too partisan this year though, so this will remain my DS home.

Initially there doesn't really seem to be anyone I will want to pay money to see on tour. Week two last year I was already thinking of booking tickets just on the off chance J would take part!

Whiffle can we only have one set of guesses. Otherwise I might sit here all night posting my choices then changing my mind and repicking😂😂😂😂

Thanks to
Speedy and Whiffle and DD and Isih for their current work on all things tech related.

That reminds me, we have the average age calculator somewhere, but it's probably lost somewhere in the flurry of posts.

If we don't get all of the heights, despite all of the fabulous work - I will probably end up making horribly inappropriate guesses!

Yup.
The cha cha--thought this lad is good.
The waltz--thought wow this lad is gonna stay
The jive--'Speechless.
Week 3 --thought "Do I buy a ticket for the tour". No cos Jay won't be there.
Left it too late and paid a fortune BUT got front row seats so it was worth it.

This year I agree with you.

Ditto

Could someone clarify for me again please the exact terms of the competition .

Is it to guess the final pairings or pick the ones you think would be best together as it's not always the same thing ( eg Brendan and Lulu)
Thanks

So far this year there is no one as young as J and Georgia. I also have a feeling that some celebs were possibly thought of as being older than they actually. I would have put money on Daniel being nearer 60

So, all in all, not really a lot different from last year.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that the Judge is a stage school alumnus maybe Sylvia Young? Before being called to The Bar of course, so might be good with tankards, tables and sitting on Borewood's knee...

I think the mini-gymnast may surprise everyone....

.....and everyone may be surprised by same sex partnerships?

Yes he went to the same one as Benedict Cumberbatch and said that when he saw how good the Cumberbatch was he changed his career path😁

No announcement other than Naga saying she wanted Karen and the alleged partnering of Robert and or Will with one of the lads.

Not my cup of tea

OK, thanks for the clarification. Haven't a problem with same sex partnerships, got one in my own family. Just don't ever want to see it on Strictly even though the show's as camp as a row of tents. Think it would be a step too far !

And the "Stranger Danger" as your daughter refers to it will continue

No! but looking forward to it - and thanks again for all your brilliant YT work - enjoying viewing Jay at my early breakfast this morning - thank goodness Loose Women is easily available in Ireland

I'd say you are right Agrion - I think Aliona probably has some plans now that all the holidays are over and she is no longer involved in Strictly (that we know of)

Quite excited by the last number of celebrities that were announced over the weekend and today. Greg should be competitive - I hear he is tall so maybe Natalie?

They may have met at uni, because I'm pretty sure BC went to LAMDA or RADA.

Yes SSL
It is the SCD element for me too. Didn't explain myself properly. As you say SCD is as camp as a row of tents (love that description. . 😆..)

Here is the info I have collated to help you try & predict the pairings for this years SCD. If you would like I will record all your proposed pairings - just one choice for each celeb please - & then after the launch show we can see who is the threads Mystic Meg
