When Strictly has been on over the years my imagination goes off on it's own merry way. I have no tablet or smartphone so I listen to my mp4 on the way to work. I listen to a piece of music and imagine a style of dance to a particular song. I usually get over it when the series finishes, and then the next series comes along and I start again with my musings. But not last year! I am still so invested in J & A it is untrue.
Anyway, I imagine them dancing to this Elbow song all the time:

I have also put in the Peter Gabriel version. It is just as good, in a different way.

I am going out for the day. I can't bear to watch Andy Murray's match- I am heavily invested in him too! Ever since I saw him, as a young man, go over with the impressive quality of a Redwood, when he got leg cramps! Bless him!

I don’t want to steal Beth’s thunder on TW book so I am just going to leave this one paragraph that I thought was interesting about how J views dance, the book was published in 2010 so J would have been just 20 when he made these comments. Rufus Hound said “J danced from his heart” and I think this illustrates that it is something that is just in his soul.

In the dinner queue, I’d have my feet flat on the floor, but in my head I’d be going through new dance moves. By the following week I would always know the routine. My brain normally got there quickly, it was just a case of getting my feet to follow. Dancing really well is a mix of the two - you need to do it with your body as you’re being taught the steps. It’s all about a feeling and imitating that so you recognise the feeling.. You can’t really see what you look like, even in front of a mirror, so you have to feel what the dance is and then make that feeling happen.

Brilliant quote Lola. This is what we saw each week, inhabiting the emotion of the dance not just 'doing the steps'. I don't think he can do it any other way & it is what draws you into his dances like no one else has done for me.

Just found the book extract I typed up ages ago hidden away on my laptop, it wasn't deleted after all will post in 3 parts as it's rather long, part one coming up shortly
Agree with Mo and Isih re Andy Murray- love watching him pay but at the same time it can be oh so painful , might just keep an eye on the coverage on the bbc sport website

Think this might explain what J meant when he said, with some emphasis, in the Red Button interview about 'feeling what we felt'.

Wonder if Aliona works the same way and it's partly why they were so 'alike'?

And as people have said, it might be why we were so drawn to J - and to J and A's partnership?

Many on here, me included, said they first became so involved when J and A danced the Waltz in Week 2 - when you could see them dancing with feeling?
