Sorry I've been silent again. The last few days of the summer holiday are taking their toll and I'm exhausted.

Thanks all for your posts, every one has been read and thoroughly enjoyed. I'm sure there's lots I should reply to but I can barely recall what day it is , let alone remember what everyone has posted!

Fab to see the tweets from Jay and Aliona about the Jive. I too have to admit that I did have a brief wibble when I saw Aliona was in Venice over the weekend. But as everyone says #trustinjay.

Watched the red carpet event too - I agree that poor Louise did get the short straw when it comes to costume. I was also a little disappointed that there wasn't a proper ballroom dress in sight either. Greg really had embraced the strictly costumes- could that fabric be any more sheer?😂 I did notice that Will's outfit was a bit less bling. I wonder if he will do a 'Jay' when it comes to the costumes etc? Oh and I agree re: Tameka 😬

I'm going to try and resist looking at the spoiler thread as I never look anywhere else usually and I can't remember what my pairings were now anyway! We'll be watching on Saturday safe in the knowledge that it can be viewed and enjoyed passively this year. Well apart from Jaliona's part - I'm intrigued to see whether they'll be in Pulp Fiction attire and whether they'll dance to the strictly version or the one they'll be using for KD.

I went into the spoiler thread last night or should I say early this morning. Interesting.

Whiffle I await your Whifflework with anticipation. Will you publish late on Saturday AFTER the Launch Show or on Sunday.
Obviously I'm cool with either.

I tried to see if the poster mentioned anything about Jaliona and the Jive but couldn't find it mentioned. Anyone else find it mentioned anywhere by someone who attended?

I will be almost afraid to post between now and Saturday, in case I write anything spoilerish.

Don't know why I looked, really, as J and A aren't part of the competition any more.

Haven't seen anything about the jive either, hannah.

Have wondered about J and A's costume for the Jive too.

Think it needs a fairly loose jacket and trousers to get the movement when they spin - as long as no safety pins and that J has long black socks (thinking of first performance on the Strictly Tour).

Do hope they don't have the horrible wig, but wasn't keen on J's hair stye for the Week 3 Jive either - though I know he was supposed to be JT

Have had a peek on the spoiler thread, but no-one has mentioned their dance and I don't like to ask as the Thread is about this year's couples.

Will be like Strictly Red - afraid to post now, in case I put my foot in it.

Have just written to the Radio Times after being irritated by an article on Brexit and Strictly which I felt was in poor taste. I do wonder if I am over touchy so will post it hear and wonder what anyone else who read it thought.

'I was delighted to see a picture of all the professional dancers in the Radio Times but thought the article by Sarah Carson 'Strictly's Brexit Revamp' was in rather poor taste. It is lovely to see home grown talent among the professional dancers but a mistake I feel to link them with a xenophobic attitude. Strictly benefits enormously from current and past foreign born professional dancers. The show has been richer for the likes of Lilia, Ola, Aliona, Kristina and Artem to name a few. The Strictly magic has nothing to do with politics and nor should it'.
