You seem very calm about your exam: good! Looking forward to reading your poems in time (and reviews of course) as I've noticed your articulacy.

There will be Jalionistas going to the stage door I am sure.

Oh I could do with a holiday and if J&A would do Monte Carlo I could go couldn't I

Anyhoo I've tried three times to do this multii quote and if this doesn't work I'm gonna have a mahoosive strop😠

Thanks Korky, trying not to let myself get too stressed as the exams make up a smaller percentage of the overall module mark than the coursework I've already done, and they've mostly been multiple choice which always helps just hope i'm like this and not this when I open the paper!

Having read all of the amazing poetry and creativity on here, I decided a while back that I couldn't possibly refrain from having a go myself; though my first attempts will no doubt be terrible I'm prepared to take the plunge!

No need to strop, jobs a good'un. 😊

The stage door's going to be very crowded. I'll be sharpening my elbows from July onwards in readiness. 💪

Monte Carlos or bust, eh! Actually, bankruptcy would be a distinct possibility at this rate 💸💸

Welcome back DD...now, about this Tip you'll be feeling, please elucidate.

Welcome back, Deise. No, I don't wish to be Poet Laureate but thank you for suggesting me. I am more than satisfied with my existing Jayjobs...

Hmmm... a French horn... fingering and blowing, isn't it? 📯

You have inspired me to apply for the Jayjob of Pencil Lead Checker. I think the details of this onerous position are obvious. ✏ I should also like to be in charge of his rubber, keeping it clean and handy.

Great reviews from Polly, Whiffle and Ahouch, and lovely to see that Polly and Whiffle have taken the poetry plunge and that Hannah and Whiffle collaborated on the paso comparison
Hannah, I agree, Jay was better than Maksim (I didn't like his hands at all, the word "spatulistic" springs to mind )
Great to hear that Gill had such an enjoyable birthday
Congrats to Red and Dufnut for their Jayfollow
Welcome Drizzle, hope you have fun posting on the thread
Isih, another splendiferous effort on your updates, and loved the pie chart

If you did, I missed it too! I looked at the KD website and it isn't mentioned on there.

One satisfying thing on that poster is "Jay and Aliona", with no surnames needed!

I think we discussed it on here a week or two ago when it was noticed somewhere else, maybe in connection with the same show.

OK, I've been sneezing and had watery eyes all day, and had enough now so I'm going to say goodnight. Blimmin' allergies.

Two thing to say while my memory is functioning

I have just finished typing up the audition section of the TW book- happy to pm to anyone interested (will be posting the last part of Jay's section tomorrow)

Jnb- your sad news today made me think of another poem. We had it read at my Granddad's funeral a few years ago and I think the words are just beautiful, so I wanted to share it here
Quote:
“Feel no guilt in laughter, he’d know how much you care.
Feel no sorrow in a smile that he is not here to share.
You cannot grieve forever; he would not want you to.
He’d hope that you could carry on the way you always do.
So, talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared,
The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared.
Let memories surround you, a word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour or a day,
That brings him back as clearly as though he were still here,
And fills you with the feeling that he is always near.
For if you keep those moments, you will never be apart
And he will live forever locked safely within your heart.
Unknown”

Well, as Mistress of the Felt Tip I would diligently examine the tip that J intends to use for his exquisite artistry. I would check that the tip is not splayed in any way that could affect his skilled manipulation. If necessary, I would apply firm pressure to bring the tip back into alignment.

Thankyou Hannah, unfortunately we live North of Birmingham and the Mega Bus doesn't operate from here. I think it will have to be trains and buses,or taxis if all else fails.x

Sounds reasonable to me

Now, I was wondering if J had experience in oils...I could be of some assistance there

He did indeed but I think this was because he had been going for so long that he didn't take the usual precaution at the end.

Very very messy indeed but having satisfactorily finished the job at last he's now heavily into loud expressionism.

I've got to get myself from home to Birmingham and then onwards.
Again with the trains they are from Birmingham but there are 2 changes to get to Wimbledon and one of those is by tube. Not for me thanks.
I was also warned about the Saturday road traffic in Wimbledon.
It looks like we will have to charter a fleet of helicopters! 😉
Jayfan was it you that said we all would be looking closer to the date for travel etc.

Throwing this in very late on a Monday half hoping it will be overlooked, and half hoping it won't. But finally, here is a link to a Jay fanfiction I was inspired to write after reading Monkseal's comment about having read the 'Jaythan' stories. A lot of those are a bit - um - - my one is a bit more standard !
I used to write teenage fiction when I was the right age to do it, and I am worried that this sounds a bit creaky now. It also needs to be expanded in several places. What do you think? Its the first time I have used real people in a story and I feel a bit creepy. But its a lot less creepy (in my opinion) than some of the others..

Anyway, its published on Wattpad, and I hope the link will take you to it.

If you can't get on with Wattpad, I will PM you a PDF

I hope you like it....gulp!

Oooh what a treat Agrion. I have the app and have read quite a bit of the fan fiction on Jay. Some is awful, some isn't too bad. I found one I thought was pretty good but it never got finished! I started to read a Jathan one but couldn't finish it. It was just awful!

Really looking forward to reading yours.

I've hit a bit of a wall with mine. In a quandary about how 'adult' to go if you get my gist!
I did consider using Wattpad but didn't really want anyone and everyone to see it. Is there a way of keeping it private and just sharing it with those you want to see it?

Did you know about Megabus Plus ? It combines its bus services with Megatrain for through journeys. They operate from all over northern England, including Yorks and Lancs, going to East Midlands, from where you get an onward train to St. Pancras. I've used the ordinary Megabus from Aberdeen all the way to Brussels ! Once it's left Scotland, it stops at Preston and Birmingham before London Victoria
