Okay, I shall withdraw.

Isih - I wish to apply for the Jayjob of Holder of the Indelible Pen. This has remarkably enduring qualities but extreme caution must be exercised because as soon as it is used it stays put in perpetuity and one cannot change one's mind.

I would also add that if you sink your ink well, it won't spill over.”

Ah, but I do, very deeply, yet upon withdrawing the dip pen there is sometimes a globule which adheres to the very tip and, if not noticed and wiped off, can spoil the accomplishment.

You've torn it now, Whiffle!

Quoting myself (bad form, I know)

In my role as KEEPER OF THE DOUBLE / SINGLE / DOWNRIGHT OBSCENE ENTENDRE, which no-one else seems willing to take over, I must make a feeble protest as to the tenor of the above applications. (I am not referring to brass/silver band instruments here)

I would also make the observation that the Protection Provider concerned appears, by her own admission, to be failing in her duties AGAIN. No french horn for you, my girl, you can't even handle the letters.

see - I'm not as daft as I look

As far as the jobs go, I feel I'm running backwards. I had everything nearly ready to post and off you all go again!

Beth - thanks for all your hard work, and good luck tomorrow!

It's more to do with what you do with your tongue - I can elucidate if you like

Popping in to find I'm pages behind (will be mostly lurking from now on anyway - I've finished my last compilation unless I decided to do review compilation, which I don't have time for right now)!

Anyway, great review ahouch - so much I agree with.

I know some object to Tess going on about his nerves, but J himself didn't mind. As a presenter, she can point out some things to the viewing audience that we otherwise would not see - e.g. the fact that someone is so nervous they are actually shivering. That just helps us understand them better and puts their dancing and character in context. Some aspects of performance are more of a hurdle for some than for others.

LOL the Cowardly Lion!!

Just seen your news, Janet. Am totally gutted for you & Becks. He will always be our Thread pet.

Well, yes and no. Sometimes it's nice to experiment until it feels just right. I believe the buttons need a light touch too or caterwauling will ensue...

?????

Isih I have come upon a word for possible inclusion in the Jayctionary. I have checked & couldn't see it there.

The Jaywink – A determined attempt to wink unusually utilising both eyes. Highly adorable.

Thank you for your thoughts.

I'm in bits to be honest but when the time came I was able to be with Becks and OH, we took him into the grass for some time to eat in the sunshine, the birds were singing.

We told him how proud and grateful we were to have him in our lives, and how much we love him - and we held him as he took his last journey, and went to sleep.”

It's good that you and your OH were able to be with your noble companion to the end. He had a great life with you.
It's a sad time, but mainly because of how great the past was.

Aah you mean the valves Korky. These require oiling on a regular basis. Less frequently you will need to give your instrument a bath & clean possibly using a cleaning snake & bore brush.

Hi jnb.

I hope you don't mind, but this has given me some comfort in the past -especially the last two lines of the final verse.

Take care.

I hope this doesn't sadden you more as I mean it as some comfort:

He had my love
And I had his
By fair exchange.

His heart I keep in mine
As he held mine in his.
This truth will never change.

Love abides for ever.
Our ties they will not sever.

Who are the other couple? I don't recognise them at all.

ETA looks like it may be a marketing shot for Flag in the Sand, a luxury travel concierge - there's nobody else eating around them.

Thank you everyone for you thoughts. Not doing well tonight, pain of loss hitting me harder.

Sleepless nights.......I am so lost without him. I have some of his tail hair to make into a bracelet. I will see his face again one day, I am absolutely certain of that. But it doesn't make any of this any easier....I'm totally broken right now & just wish I could turn back the clock.

We all feel your immense loss and your pain. All we can do is empathise with you and perhaps provide some distraction.

It seems that we haven't had a thud alert in quite a while. so this is especially for you jnb. xx
