Having seen all the "First Steps" this year, have you decided who you are going to support? I must say I am not likely to vote for anyone - I used my enthusiasm for voting up last year!

Me neither - just keep think along the lines of " ah week one I remember thinking how odd it was that J was so nervous considering what he had done with TW but even so looked to be trying to do the correct teknik & seemed VERY musical " little did I know what was in store........

I believe it was about the time that Ola injured herself practicing for The Jump while still contracted to SCD and therefore should have been available for the group dances.

I'm surprised they had her back the following year after that episode.

I imagine that Robin was not impressed and made his feelings known.

I'm going to be watching these three to begin with - I think Will and Claudia are going to be early front runners, and Robert might be another Julian Clary - not as funny perhaps, but be interesting to see how he gets on with Oksana and how he copes with Craig.

Well you ought to be!

According to what I posted from, you're there, incidentally with a total of 311 contributions (minimum)

I have no idea what happened, but I grovel (once again) and I'd better check no-one else has gone walkabout. Please don't cry.

^^This.

It was only on YT for a few hours so I was lucky to catch it at all. He was talking to a small room of about 20 fans who asked various questions which he answered in a full & leisurely way.
One answer which stood out to me was that, to speed up the process of the live show, the judges sent their scores off to whoever before the dance they were watching had ended. (Yeah- bizarre, I know) based partly on having seen it in the dress-rehearsal. But that this proved problematic if there was an incident after doing so, as in -and I can't recall who now- someone being given a 10 despite fluffing up the final move. I've since seen FMs who've been to the live show say that this is no longer how they do things, but Robin was very clear about that being the way when he was on the show.
I wish I could remember the other things he said- it was a very interesting Q&A, involving several questions that any avid Strictly viewer would ask, and he was incredibly open, eloquent, friendly and reasonable in his answers, despite them being possibly a tad unwise for him in hindsight. He came across really well, unlike the slightly ridiculous figure he was required to cut on his last ITT run.

I've learnt my lesson though about good YT clips- now, if I really like them, I save them asap via Keepvid.

ETA- he also said which two celebs were swapped round for their pro's- damn, I can't remember who. Something to do with Nat being injured, Aliona stepping in etc etc It was all highly interesting stuff.

We tried voting last year but couldn't do it by mobile (french or english), landline, computer except for the week we were in the UK - very frustrating it was.

Just on the first steps - I think Ore will be good, but potentially irritating (shame, as I was pleased when he was announced), I like the look of Rinder, though whether he will relax enough I don't know. Claudia looks better than I expected, as does Laura. Greg should be interesting .

None of them looked total disasters, I must say, and there's no-one who impels me to put a foot through the telly - yet!

If I dip my big toe in the water will it be bitten off by a shark or will the water be warm enough for me to venture in a bit further?

I'd forgotten about the scoring thing! If I hadn't shown it to my sister straight away I would have thought I'd been dreaming, it was off so quickly!

Nor me .....

Something has happened, I don't know what. I keep telling myself to stand aside, but I can't resist coming back here. It has been ( and is) such a lovely place to spend time....

I've cheered up a little now. *snivel* *sob*

I am human; you are human; J is human (not a robot).

As a dedicated J functionary
In matters purely voluntary
I indulge in scenes imaginary
And even disciplinary
And extend my vocabulary
By reading the Jayctionary
So as your skills are legendary
The omission was only temporary
