Aliona was at a rather large disadvantage in the word round because English isn't her second language. (I usually struggle to get beyond the obvious ones such as, in last night's example, fire, hire, sire, tire.

)
Agree it was a shame that Jay and Aliona didn't get to answer first in the cities round.
Had to laugh when they had to name the actors/actresses in disguise and they were shown the person in Avatar.
On a different topic, I am just waiting for someone (in particular Darcey) to give a 10 in week 3 before I throw something at the telly.

Are this year's people really so much better than last year's?
Lowest mark this year 21, followed by 22, 23 (2), 25 (2), 26 (2), 27 (2), 28, 30, 31 (2), 32.
Craig used his 4 paddle once, 5 four times, 6 four times, 7 twice, and 8
four times. (Last year it took him till week 3 to get out the 8 paddle, though he stretched himself to score 'that jive' a 9.)
Darcey: 5 once, 6 six times, 7 five times, 8 three times.
Len: 6 six times, 7 seven times, 8 once, 9 once. (Last year he first produced the 9 in week 3, again for Jaliona's jive.)
Bruno: 5 once, 6 five times, 7 six times, 8 three times.
Last year's marks went 16, 17, 19, 20 (2), 21 (2), 24, 26, 27 (4), 29, 30.
Craig's paddles: 2 twice, 3 once, 4 five times, 5 once, 6 four times, 7 twice.
Darcey: 5 five times, 6 four times, 7 four times, 8 twice.
Len: 5 twice, 6 five times, 7 seven times, 8 once.
Bruno: 4 twice, 5 four times, 6 once, 7 seven times, 8 once.
Forget 'Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells', I'm 'totally pi$$ed off from Penzance' and 'Grumpy from Gateshead' rolled into one.

ETA: Forgot to add that there's only one dance I'll be watching again, and that's JRR and Oksana. Less than impressed by any of the others. Not sure if that's because I'm not fully in SCD mode, or whether it's because I've become used to certain dances to certain songs with certain choreography and anything else just doesn't seem 'right'.
