Been MIA as I haven't been keeping up with SCD very well recently so have very little to add to discussions. So far I am underwhelmed by the whole programme. It is just as I'd predicted; Jaliona has spoilt it for me. Still trying to be enthusiastic as little miss ahouch is still a fan. Her choice = Daisy.

I caught up on the Xtra Factor last night - Fast forwarding like the devil obviously. BTW the guy presenting with Rylan is Matt Edmundson. He's a DJ on Radio 1, usually on Saturday mornings but often fills in when others are on holiday (I'm down with the kids you know). I find him quite annoying.

Anyway I digress. I watched said programme just before going to bed and luckily for me this sparked a Jay dream. Hurrah I've not had one for months!

It took me back to a scenario, much like KD at Wimbledon where large numbers of Jalionista's were congregating. It could have been a Jalionista convention. Anyway my partner in crime, KITKD and I retired to the pub. There were other familiar faces from the thread and Twitter milling about. Then Jay came in, accompanied by Thomas (brother) and one or two other friends. They ordered drinks from the bar and then made a direct beeline towards our table. For some reason they completely ignored everyone else so they could sit with us. Anyway I can't remember what was said, but suddenly Jay got up and approached KITKD where he proceeded to kiss her!😳 Now this wasn't a peck on the cheek, nor was it a full out snog. It was something in between that, on the lips obviously. I looked at him, in shock once he'd finished. And he said, 'Would you like one? ' Opening his arms in invitation. Now remember, this is my dream, anything goes. There are no repercussions. My husband won't divorce me or anything similarly dramatic. I'm a bit miffed about the kiss with KITKD and so my response is 'No. I'm a married woman don't you know!' What??? I can't even say the right thing to him in my own dream...there is no hope for me.😂 Anyway I think they then made their excuses and left the pub, leaving me feeling thoroughly unsatisfied, and then I woke up!

So lucky old KITKD, poor me...BTW I've finally settled on what I really should have asked Jay at Wimbledon. I should have asked him about doing the US accent for Big, whether he's been practising, if he is intending to do the accent or not, how he feels about it etc. But no, chips and sweat instead...

I flipped through that X-Factor programme. It's dreadful - how do they get away with that? The presenters were complete morons.

Jay came over far better than anyone else, and managed to get a plug in for BIG. Kate Garraway looked half asleep. At least Jay took the trouble to make reasoned and thoughtful comments, can't say the same for the rest!

I'd like to see him on 'Would I Lie to You' too.

Only got to watch Saturday night's show late last night, not seen results show yet but know the story. Working my way from way back when, and, as they say, in no particular order:

Rafferty - your review of Saturday night has saved me writing! I don't think I disagree on a single word, and a lot of your words were uttered independently by the plumber as we watched.
Nobody I disliked, so far nobody a real stand-out as favourite
One thing I did notice - a couple of times JRR's legs showed signs of being really good. (Somewhere someone said about his having a glittery Fred Flinstone on his Twitter)

AhouchThis is hilarious for several reasons....
Firstly, I'm never lucky enough to have such delicious dreams and secondly it is always my older sister that this sort of thing happens to-never me!!!! My older sister (whom I love dearly) got the amazing good looks, beguiling sex appeal and boats of confidence; men fall at her feet and get tongue tied when they meet her! Picture the scene where a beautiful woman (my sister) gets chatted up by a handsome man and she insists on her not so good looking or sexy friend (that's me!) tagging along with them(because she is lovely and doesn't like to desert her friend)-I'm the 'buy one get one free' that you get stuck with whether you want it or not! So, your dream made me howl as this would never happen on so many levels!!! Thank you for making my day!! Please feel free to have more and I will happily live vicariously through your dreams!

I like your Jay question-would be interesting to learn more about how he is going to personally develop the role. I hope he has some say in how the character is portrayed and played as I think his input will make it even more successful.

I've now listened to BIG right the way through - well the version on YT anyway. There's some really lovely music in there and I had a great time imagining Jay dancing. The songs are fantastic. It's going to be a really great show!

If an emotional reaction is a benchmark, I had goose pimples at the end...

Yes, it's real Broadway - lush orchestrations,I can hear rap, jive, tap, waltzes, poignant songs, funny songs, soaring heat-wrenching melodies, get-up-and-dance numbers. I haven't been so excited about a musical since Les Mis - and I saw that three times and still get goose bumps when I listen to it.

I think I'd better go and have a nice lie down....

If they're in the theatre already that means they've been working on walk-throughs for probably a month or so. I'm betting J's got the script down already.
