BIB means 'Bit In Bold'. Used when you want to respond to a particular part of a quote. If you want to refer to more than one part just list with numbers ie BIB1, BIB2 etc

Oh but how did ne never responded? He kept saying in numerous interviews that they are just friends. I accept that as responding to the rumours.
I am also disappointed to know that WIJ has never been his girlfriend.
I start to seriously suppose that there was no gf at all - which is actually the thing that he's always maintained. I now more want to know who was the one that said (after he was on Strictly) that he is in a committed relationship - which is a bit ambivalent tbh - than who the supposed person he was in a relationship is.
Maybe he just had friends with benefits of a sort?

From my furrows in the burrow, the other four managed just fine without him when he was hors de combat with the throat problem. They were a really good group in my view - but from what I could see, towards the end their management weren't really behind them.

I'm even more intrigued now......rosa to your knowledge, has there ever been a girlfriend/committed relationship or is he so private no one knows even the boys from the band / his old friends?

Who said he was in a comitted relationship? As far as I know, he's not in a relationship at the moment. Although, of course, I'm not his real life friend, but I asked a friend of his and she told me that But as I said before, he keeps his private life private so I can't be sure...

To my knowledge, no, there hasn't. He hooked up with girls every now and then when he was in TW, but has never been in a relationship in that time. But if he does have someone now, I'm sure the lads and his friends know I believe he wants to be with someone but he doesn't want his official relationship to be with just a random person he just met, so maybe that's why he hasn't gotten serious with anyone so far.

During one of these Ali & Jay rumour waves one of his reps was quoted saying that "Jay and Ali are both in a commited relationship".

Not sure if it was WIJ, but I think at some point he was in a relationship with someone.

I thought this was rather unusual for him. Didn't feel like a joke or "test" at the time.

I think I remember an interview where he said he wasn't ready to have a "public" relationship (sorry, for the clumsy "phrasing" ) like Nathan, Tom and Siva. So I assumed he just kept it out of the public, so people (the press) wouldn't bug him with questions or create drama - esp. in case or when it ended.

Just googled it and it was DailyMail. Meh, I wouldn't believe them. And, as private as Jay is: first, nor him or his management would have said he's in a relationship. And secondly, it would be settled by now and we wouldn't be wondering as we are now haha.

Other than with Aliona, he seems to have thrived in male company, ie his brothers, fellow students at MADD, TW.......I bet he's now on the look out for a steady relationship, though I would love to think he already had one......

Not really sad, more lack of opportunity, as you say, living as he did in a largely male environment with the only girls around adoring fans. I think he wants something deeper than that, which is why his time with Aliona was the best thing that could have happened to him, as he said at the end of the Final.

Very true, BB I especially agree that he'll want a relationship that involves a true meeting of minds, a soulmate if you like.....

Anyway, my 'Amnesty Homework'' for Weeks 1 - 4, but the Short Version.

Unlike Korky I can't do it in a few words, never mind a poem .

Bit of background - had watched Strictly from the beginning and thought Aliona was one of the very best Pros. I'd been a long time lurker on DS, mainly for the results, but also read the NAT Thread - so knew they'd adopted J because of his - mostly - thoughtful and grammatical Tweets.

Also knew of J from the local press as a boy band member who'd donated his Olympic Torch to CBC.

Launch and Pairing - Oh, there's that nice lad. He does look nervous. Ah, he's with Aliona, she'll help him.

CCC - Oh, there's that nice lad again. He does look nervous. That's pretty good for a first dance and for a CCC. He looks relieved it's over.

Waltz - Ooohh, that was lovely! Don't J and A dance well together! Isn't he graceful? Who'd have thought it? I do like them. They are good on ITT too.

Jive - Speechless What a Jive!! Brilliant dancing, super choreography! Oh that poor lad, he looks so shocked!

QS - Hm, don't think much of the music for a QS. Ooops, bit too much for him, but they did well considering. Liked them on ITT - so sensible and philosophical about it.


After the Jive the MF was full of comments and even a whole Thread about how boring Strictly was going to be for J to 'smash it' all the time. So think perhaps the QS may have, in the end, helped J?
