Just watched the Dance-off. Had my speech all prepared: "Parting is such sweet sorrow, but I think it's time, Ed"..........When Anastacia and Naga were announced. So, it's back to the grind-stone, with you, Ed. As my Grandmother would have said......"he's the luckiest thing in shoe-leather"....
Thanks jayfan, whiffle and TT. I was late in getting to see the main show, so my report was a bit late. It wasn't until I put it on the thread, that I saw how cross you all were (as indeed, I was). Hoped my report wouldn't make things worse, but then thought, it would probably get buried, in amongst all the fury: so no worries.
I, actually, have no problem in Ore competing with Jay's jive. Thrusting young males lock antlers, from time to time, trying to best each other. It's what they do: either quietly, or with great fanfare. I think Jay might be highly amused, to know he is a role model. And we all need role models. When we reach for the stars, and it all looks impossible, it's so much easier if we can try and emulate someone, who has already got there.
What I do have a problem with, is TPTB. The callous manipulation, with no regard for 'collateral damage'. It's all a bit disappointing, and, well..........grubby, really.
Puts me in mind of:-

Enjoyed reading all your posts. Thought the poetry was great.
Hope Jay feels better soon. At least he'll be able to doze on the train: if he gets any peace, that is.
ETA. Sorry, TT. I meant to mention, above, how much I liked your report. Full of useful information, about the dances etc.
