Someone on twitter has just posted a link to a lovely photo montage of Jay on Tom's instagram.

I think Tom is getting nostalgic for the old days.

Ha ha, the kid in the photos on the right is the character of Dustin from Stranger Things that a lot of people say looks like he could be J's child It was referred to in Kelsey's snapchat, I don't think he was that impressed

As an aside I've watched 5 episodes so far of Stranger Things with my son and I don't think he really looks like a young J.

Back from my weekend away late last night, and just noticed this soupy.

I'm wondering whether they are rehearsing at TR2?

It's the Theatre Royal's production centre - they make sets, props, costumes and have several rehearsal rooms, the largest of which can host rehearsals for completed sets. It's about a mile away from the main theatre I think.

Haven't seen Saturday's Strictly yet, but what's this about someone bettering Jay's jive? Hmm, need to investigate.........

Edit:

Definitely at TR2. A photo has appeared on my Twitter of Jay being interviewed by David Fitzgerald, a BBC Radio Devon presenter. And I know from a Theatre Royal Facebook message that Radio Devon is at TR2 today😀
Yup, I'm earning my keep as the thread's Miss Marple.

Good idea Whiffle.

Now I understand why Aliona had Vincent drive them to Blackpool. She probably had visions of Jay performing a solo salsa in Blackburn!!

OT but truth. This page suddenly morphed into a picture of KK's Show Dance. Kevin looking shocked and portly with Kellie hanging off his right leg. Nasty surprise when just peacefully reading.

Jay was on BBC radio Devon earlier:

Not sure what time so does anyone fancy listening to an entire show to find out?!

Well done Strictly Red!
Thanks Ahouch.
TB - loved the idea of Jay turning up in Blackburn!

Link above to Radio Devon on i player. Go to David Fitzgerald programme about two thirds through, 2.09.20. Hope that works. Listening to it as I type and jay is being his usual sweet guy with even nice comments about the fudges last year. What a sensible young man.

Ah, that explains it - the top photo does look like a young Jay, but in the bottom one the main comparisons are really the hair and the tongue!

Good detective work, Red. He must have shown up at the theatre instead. Bless!

Thanks for the link TB. They interview Gary Wilmott beforehand at about 1.30/1.40 I think if anyone is interested. Jay's voice does sound a bit croaky bless him. The best bit is right at the end when they play The Wanted's 'All Time Low'. 😂 I won't type what he says here in case you'd rather listen to it first.

Thanks Tsuntsu and ahouch.

Always a nice interviewee, isn't he?

I like his view on Strictly

Thank you so much, Tsuntsu - I listened to Gary first, then Jay, both lovely interviews, well worth listening to - that's all I'll say for now, because I don't want to spoil it for anybody who hasn't listened yet. But boy, am I looking forward to that show even more now! I think it will be a very happy company, which will make the show so much more enjoyable.

Thank you to all reviewers for your thoughts on Saturday's show - I think my blood pressure's just about back where it should be now. That stupid comment from Len sent it skyrocketing so high I couldn't think of anything else.

It's sad that the lady who does so much work on the Spoiler thread has felt she had to leave. In my view leaving because of someone else's unpleasantness only serves to fuel the fires of the perpetrators, and deprives an awful lot of people of the enjoyment of the company of the person who's left. Just a personal view, of course.

Whiffle, I think you definitely ought to nip in, take him by the hand, and make sure he doesn't get lost again. Perhaps you could put ones of those wrist straps on him, like you use on toddlers, so he doesn't stray too far from your side. ”

A 10 foot tall blue Na'vi nurse tends to stick out like a sore thumb in Plymouth. So then the daft lad goes and gets himself lost. Won't happen again. Anybody got a truck full of beige theatre make - up?

Just listened to this interview - thank you for finding it - and am struck once again by how level-headed, intelligent and kind J is. 💕

The thought of J with a ten foot tall Navy Nurse is something to wrestle with..... ! Or should that be 'as something to wrestle with'? Mind you, suggesting a jobshare to Korky would probably ensure a memorable mauling anyway.....

@JayMcGuiness
First day of tech rehearsals in Plymouth... And I went to the wrong address 😖
11:31 am - 17 Oct 2016

If you're lost I'll lead you home
If you're lost I'll show the way
If you're lost just follow me
Down endless roads through night and day

Or if you're lost just turn around
If you're lost I'll follow you
If you're lost we'll search for home
And if you're lost I'll be lost too.

Lost in a place where light cannot show
Lost in a world where faces are the same
Lost in the light where all shows as gloom
Lost in a place where no-one knows your name

No,

If you're lost just trust in me
If you're lost just hold my hand
At times in life we all feel lost
But you and I, we understand

Wrestling---a new form of sweating out all toxins.

And this nurse can wrestle let me tell you. Ooh yes a veritable wrestling machine😷😜

So very sad, isn't it? She was just trying to keep the thread light and fluffy as normal and people crashed it, bringing in their own agendas and completely changing the nature of the thread.

Newsflash "3 of the worst dancers were the first 3 booted off the show". Suddenly, that's controversial because people choose to focus on their skin colour and forget about the dancing (and with Naga, the added factor that she clearly was having no fun at all).

ETA: I notice this year's ATs aren't gaining much traction. Maybe everyone's just on twitter or too busy bitching in MF to actually get behind any particular contender. I don't think there's any thread pet on the NAT either, although I saw it being debated pre-season.
