Jay is endlessly courteous and interested in his fans, and that's very endearing, especially as that interest is genuine and a part of his personality.
If they're seeking a record deal, and bearing in mind that Jay's fans are very proactive and vociferous, it would surely pay them to tap into that and not cause bad feeling by the kind of boorish behaviour you were subjected to.
It sounds very much like Shytown will benefit from revising their attitude if they want Jay's very loyal fan base to help in the promotion of the excellent remix. So I really hope someone gets this message through to them.”
Yep. As I said, they always seem to say thanks to their fans, but other than that I feel like they're letting the fans (Jay's fans) to do the job. Which is not bad, but we're talking about people who's suppossedly already known in the industry, so I don't know what to think.
I didn't tell them we wouldn't help anymore but I did tell them that "we didn't get a 'thank you' back". If they ask for anything similar again, I'll make it clear.

Yep, that's what I was talking with a friend earlier. I don't want to assume things but I remember we all wondering why Jay didn't do any promo for the song. Ok, he was busy or he just wanted to hang out with friends. That's normal. But he could have retweeted something or at least liked some tweets that talked about the song? It is kind of weird he didn't even do that. It's like the song just doesn't exist for him. He doesn't deny it, he just doesn't talk about it. At all. Maybe if a journalist do their job and actually asks him about it, we could get a better explanation.
ETA: They do talk highly of Jay, though. I'll give them that. But now I wonder if they "exaggerate" a bit just because they notice his fans want to help and Jay's still in everybody's minds.
