Totally OT.

I WANT HER BAG!!!!!!!!

I'd never find anything but at least it would all be in there.

http://poolga.com/shared/images/poolgas/iphone_299.jpg

Korky, Lola is that either of you in my bag. Or us it Tiddles playing a flying visit from Mars
It must be Korks because, and I will whisper it very quietly, I've never seen Mary Poppins all the way through Dick van Dyke starts omp-pahing and talking mockney and I switch off

And as it seems a bit bad-tempered on here tonight, must be the weather there is a storm brewing, on BBC 4 tonight at 10pm When Pop Ruled My Life: The Fans' Story is being repeated.

I'd still love to see them QS in an arena though, I bet they'd cover some ground.
I mentioned a few weeks ago that I saw Vincent and Flavia in The Last Tango. The only dance I didn't think worked completely was the VW where the stage just wasn't the right size/ shape for them to really let go. I kept worrying they were going to hit the pillars/columns.

I'm out of here for tonight.........seems very confrontational and full of disquiet tonight and I'm upset enough after the week from hell, literally.
No criticism of anyone in particular, just don't need it personally I'm feeling fragile & it upsets me.

See you girls tomorrow .... Thank you for the support JAlionistas, you know who you are xxx

Speedy, Fred, DD, Korky, Lola, Whiffle or basically anyone whose reading at the mo.

Has anyone thought of doing a list of everyone's suggestions for their 4 dances.

For example

Paso then the number of people = 12
waltz = 24
Etc etc

I'm not volunteering of course because I know there are peeps out there that love their pivot tables etc😊 you know who you are.

If I am late to the party and some one is doing it I will be hushed.

Nice idea Hannah but would people be able to limit themselves to 4 dances (I'm game to do this if anyone wants but my piecharts aren't nearly as impressive as Isishs')

Leaving this

I haven't seen a VW in anything other than dance floor, ballroom or arena situations.
I totally agree with you that a stage may be confining and you have first hand experience with Vincent and Flavia in their show.
So as much as I love Jaliona's VW I don't think it would work in KD.

I can worry enough about J let alone worrying about columns, pillars or him falling off the stage.

Sorry for quoting myself - just updating with a couple more ideas.

Pre-pairing: Wibbly wobbly
Pairing: The first face this face saw
Cha cha: I have questions, but number one is this - what in the name of sanity have you got on your head?
Waltz: You and me, time and space, you watch us run
Jive: Geronimooooooo!!
Quickstep: Raggedy man
Paso: Pasos are cool.
American Smooth: Hello, sweetie
Foxtrot: You are always here to me, and I always listen. And I can *always* see you. [Alternatively/in addition: I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry.]
Salsa: You were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And you know what? So was I.
Tango: I think you call me... Sexy?
Rumba: We’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?
Charleston: Do what I do. Hold tight and pretend it’s a plan.
Showdance: I will not forget one line of this, not one day, I swear
Final Paso. There's a first time for everything. And a last time.

Jaliona: “This is who I am, right here, right now, all right? All that counts is here and now, and this is me!”

Oh Sweetie, this is so good. Netflix is calling me, a bit of binge watching might be called for, I miss the Dr

I thought of trying to match the fudges with villains but have only come up with CRH as a Slitheen - better not expand on my reasoning on this one on here

Now, I'd love to see a J&A AT and /or BRtango.

ETA hannah! You preempted my response...I was just about to say 'well volunteered'
Wow, just four dances. Now would they have to take into consideration the limitations of the venue or would that be an ultimate, no holds barred 'wish list? '

Now how did I know I could count on you Whiffle. People have already been picking more than 4 so I thought that a list with the total number of picks per dance would give us a league table so to speak.
The Paso would have to be in the lead obviously cos J&A have already picked it.
My guess for 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th would be salsa tango AT Charleston as they are being mentioned
But who knows until the numbers are counted

And I know your pie chart will be great

ETA in light of recent occurrences I am gonna leave that jive idea I had for the time being

I fondly remember a post here by one of the younger thread members who was a TW fan and who met Jay at one of the SCD shows. As someone who was very familiar with Jay's clumsiness, she said she was really nervous watching Jay walk by/ through the floor lights in the rhumba because she was worried he would trip up. I thought it was such a sweet post.

Four dances,

Well we could have a bit of this (he does say he likes this type of dance)

Or a little of his Dad dancing

Or even a bit of this

Oh ok, if I have to be sensible, it has to be this one - see I can take things seriously ... sometimes

Whiffle, one of our resident list pixies, has volunteered. 😉

If I were you I would pick what you want in what order. But I take your point about venue can preclude certain dances perhaps

Whiffle is gonna draw up the table with the ones that get the most votes at the top etc etc
Of course that Paso has already won the league cup in the respect that J&A have already picked it

Trust you to want a little bit of this and a little bit of that😆

What insider knowledge do you have that he will eventually do a morris dance for us. OMG I have just fallen off sofa laughing.

I'll have you know Miss Hannah there is nothing wrong with a bit of Morris dancing, it's not all old men clutching a pewter tankard, one finger in their ear singing shantys

Some of it is really energetic and you have to be really fit, this is old footage but back in the day this team were amazing, most of them were Uni or college students. J is a bit of a folky, can't you see him in this outfit and dancing like this?

I'm in the middle of writing my Waltz review and have just noticed that the guy who cuts Jays hair in the VT was TW's hairdresser. Why did I not see that before!

Sorry completely irrelevant and pointless post. Just had to tell someone!

Lordy lordy. What are you doing to me Lola.

Within the first 4 seconds there's a chap with shorts SO short that well. .... I haven't seen them that short since Phil the archaeologist in Time Team. Blimmin heck it must be in the 80's

And as for those dancers. Yes they must be very fit and require great stamina but please warn me first so I can put me specs on. Without em I have to squint you see. You watch em whilst squinting. So much can be missed. The nuance of the dance

Sad to see the forum trying to have a plunge into the old ways when Rachel left for good. Please don't do that any more.
We are different people, we like different things about Jay, Aliona and Jay and Aliona.
If you don't like a specific topic, just ignore it alright?
And stop restricting other people from saying their opinion while it is withing the T and C and spirit of the forum just because you find specific topics sensitive for you.
The topic is about Jay alright? Not about any of us and our sensibilities in particular. There are T&Cs for that.

And P.S. If anyone can find that pic of Jay and a girl leaning at the door of a cabin (maybe) house taken from inside out, please share it. Because Jay was so handsome in it, it's worth seeing.

Thank you.

I only know this because a TW fan on this thread pointed it out a while ago. I then looked back at the TW vid myself.

TT I think we need some sort of briefing for those of us (that would be me) who only really know of Daleks Cybermen and.......oh I think that's it.

What's a Slitheen or Missy?
