Jay has said several times now that Aliona protected him during SCD so her take on last year might be a bit different. ETA Thanks for the link Ahouch. |

Very nice up close and personal picture of the scarf wot you knitted him there.
![]() As for the hair Jay. Can we have the curls back please. Short or long curls will do for me. https://45.media.tumblr.com/d0e90284...etzvo1_400.gif But if a photo needs cropping then it just has to be done ![]() Jay said on LW that curls were hard to manage so perhaps he needs a specialist curl teaser? Have we a jayjob for that? |

Hi all, I haven't posted in this thread for a while but felt compelled to after last week's show. I just want to say I really miss Aliona, I feel the show is greatly lacking without her cool, collected self and her fantastic choreography. This season is sorely missing a genuine connection like Jay and Ali's.
It makes me a bit sick the way the PTB are openly and vehemently comparing Jay and Ore's jives. I don't think I've seen them so desperate to erase/replace the popularity of an individual dance before, it's strange, pathetic and above all absolutely unnecessary. I've nothing against Ore (though I did not think much of his Jive, technique wise), but the disrespect towards Jay gets my goat! I always thought last year that they were constantly trying to undermine him and they're still trying to now! So annoying. Anyway, it's good to see Aliona standing up for their work. She always has been so supportive of her partners and not for her own benefit, either. Gah, the show's just not the same without her. |

Hi Lamballe ( good name)
I think a lot of us feel the same. Jay has tweeted a photo of him having his curls teased....( or something similar) ETA Is the hairdresser the guy who cut his hair for the waltz and after Max cut his hair? |

We don't know why it was done. I doubt it was an individual thing against Jaliona, but can't think of another reason that wouldn't also apply to other dances. There may be a logical reason though - they get some pro-dance videos removed from Youtube, yet allow others to remain. |

I wonder if the PTB are promoting Joanne who is dancing with Ore as they appear to be desperate for a Cifton win after Jay scuppered their chances last year.

I was expecting Louise to be a close comparison with Danny, but unless there is some sand-bagging, there appears to be a big gap (and an even bigger one to everyone else). Ore and Joanne are exceeding my expectations the last two weeks. I think Daisy might turn into a really good dancer if she stays in long enough. It looked like a very competitive year at the start, but Danny is maybe doing better than they expected. |

I think they are just dealing with the problem that Danny is so good at all the dances.

I think Danny probably did get a bit ahead a bit soon so they would have had a bit of panic and had to put a marker down about competition between them both as they did last week. Presumably they did also think Louise would do well, which probably has overall in dance terms, but she hasn't really captured people's imagination. |

Rushing to get ready, earlier on, when I heard persistent scrabbling at the front door. Went to investigate, and....Eeek!....Found a dead blackbird in the porch, near the catflap, and a cat: face full of feathers, grinning up at me. "Oh, Flearoy....a present for me.....you really shouldn't have". Urgh! What to do? I haven't got time for this! "Oh, yes, thank you, sweetie. Most kind......and by the way, one's enough, in case you were wondering". Wind's a bit gusty today, so every time I opened the door, I got a face full of feathers. I do so love cats. No, I really do. Anyway, must dash.....lovely people to see.

One of the comments on Twitter asked if he was having his hair cut in the nude. It does look like he has taken some of his clothes off and dumped under the table nearby....

Hairclippers?
Nadger nippers! Stay safe No chafe Undercrackers Left in trackers On floor By door In hotel Flippin' hell Don't you hate a Slack Curator? A look he does rock But where are his trews? Oh, that is bad news They're under a chair While he's shorn of his hair I hope there's no draught From a window to waft Right up to his * chest While he is undressed Not good for the throat Hard to sing a note He saw our pleas And vowed to appease So went to the barber Quite near the harbour Hair drops to the ground Soon curls will abound And I'll get to tease 'em 'Twixt finger and thumb And the mismatched socks? He thinks outside the box Besides, don't despair He has an identical pair *respectful pause |
