Going back a bit - liked Kate's interview. She does have the knack of listening to the person she's talking to.
I really loved the Radio Devon interview about Big in Plymouth. Thank you Strictly Red for noticing it, ahouch for posting the link and TsuntsuBird for finding the right bit
J does seem to be more relaxed with local radio and is very happy and chatty.
He says he hasn't sung 'properly' for 2, 3 years - got the impression he meant he hadn't sung on stage or in public for a couple of years - it's different and puts a different strain on your voice. (Not that I know much about it
)
If you haven't heard it, do listen - if you've time, listen to the whole programme. There are several different interviews with 'backroom' people to do with the production as well as J and Gary W. If you like the theatre, it's really interesting.
Gary Wilmot is complimentary about J - and says it's a multimillion pound production. No pressure there then J
Gary W also says he was specifically asked to be in the production, and what a compliment that is. Seem to remember that J was specifically asked by the producers to 'have a chat' - a compliment too?
Really recommend listening to the Radio Devon interview - listen to the 'tone' of J's voice - he seems to be in his element.
To save hunting back, the link here again - J at about 2.09 after David Bowie's record.
