Aarrgh.. this is sooo difficult...I love all of Jay and Aliona's 'babies'.
The Paso is a given...do you think the Jive is too?
I'd love either the AT or the Tango, preferably both but that won't happen I guess.
I want the Charleston so that we see a different last lift.
The Waltz / Foxtrot / VW any one because of the romanctic feel...ediging towards Waltz, I think.
The CCC to see what he'd make of it now.
The AS for a chance to see it without the obscuring makeup.

I think the only ones I'm not so keen to see on stage are:

Rumba, saw it live twice...would like to see others get an airing.
Salsa, probably just me but I don't see it transfer to the stage as well.
Jive...as for Rumba

Have I missed any?

ETA Agrion, I was the same as you...where was Jay? Plus, why on earth did they give him that poodle-perm look for the launch...I love his full curl look but that Now the CCC hair I'm puzzled by. There's a behind the scenes clip that shows Jay in full costume ascending the stairs to enter the stage but his hair isn't pinned up. I can only think that was dress rehearsal and for some reason it was decided last minute to pin it back. Well it was still better than poodle-perm for me.
Oops Whiffle what have I started. It was only an innocent suggestion to see the batting order so to speak of favoured dances for KD.
However I am the same as Speedy cos so far I have picked all of em.
I will cut it down I promise but I get it to 4 and then have to add some back in.
Speedy
Poodle perm--- no thanks
Dress rehearsal ---going up stairs backstage with hair down
Cha cha--- Mmmm. ... not too sure. I don't think Ali even that early would have let him be too uncomfortable. Wardrobe got their way on the dreadful shirt but J&A got their compromise on the hairstyle

Matching hairdos😂😂😂
http://images.ok.co.uk/1445248288_aliona.gif

This is still my favourite long curly look

Hi all

I haven't done a dance review before but here is a bit of an odd one! I don't always watch Strictly but being a TW fan I decided to watch when I heard Jay was doing it - I thought it could be hilarious!
But when he came out for the launch show I was a bit shocked - what's happened? Where has the sharp, confident, cheeky Jay gone? The Radio Times interview they did was a bit more like it, but I was really upset watching him in the CC VT and the show. I love his hair long but they didn't know how to style it - why pull it back in a schoolgirl style? If he was supposed to be a pop star they could have just held it back with a bandana...and the clothes ....
I'm not an expert but I thought the dance was OK - he was very nervous, which still surprised me and he looked a bit inhibited, but he was obviously getting on well with Aliona.
Then in the Clauditorium he obviously couldn't say anything, he was so nervous. It wasn't until the ITT that we saw flashes of his personality come through - loved the caveman!.
But I think for me the CC week was overshadowed by missing the sharp and funny Jay I was used to seeing on YouTube. I wonder how many other TW fans were surprised?
As said already, I had never heard of Jay before SCD, but I know other TW fans felt the same as you from various things I have read.
When I discovered the TW YouTube rabbit hole I was surprised at how different he was then to when he was on SCD. I love some of the interviews with Jay by the other TW members, especially the one with Nathan where he breaks the flip.

I think we can all probably come up with lots of possible reasons why he was so nervous on SCD. His personality probably really only came through on ITT, where I was totally charmed. I think he was at his most relaxed on Biggins Buggy and on the final interview with Zoe.

I've gone for 8 — four for the first half, and then four more after the interval
If you are allowed an eighth I can have the AS too then - in wolfy makeup to enhance my dreams... 🐺 😍

You're so disciplined and focused. Do we have a deadline?
Doesn't sound like me Speedy, honest 😊 I can be very wayward......

Don't know about a deadline. Now, that would be disciplined 😋😋(I do think it might be necessary though, said very quietly....)😘

Four dances - proper choice this time, no morris dancing (shame)

Paso is already a given
Charleston - 'cos it's the Dr innit

And then I'm sorry I know I am going against everyone on here, can I please have 2 completely new dances.

I know lots want to see the SCD dances and yes blah blah they have their merit but I believe we should always move on in life, I would like something we have never seen before - please.
Know where you're coming from Lola, but think time is probably of the essence here with Big etc

Why we need a tour........😅💃

9. Samba, for the bounce
10. Contemporary dance with a balletic feel, please

See, we do need a Jaliona tour

Love, love, love that Biggins Buggy interview.

Hadn't noticed the matching dos.

My favourite too.

Lola, I'm up for new dances. Thought we were choosing from SCD dances for the purpose of this exercise...easy either way

Is there a deadline? I think I'll have to sleep on this.

ETA How 'wayward' are we talking danceagogo?

Bed is beckoning now...big day tomorrow.

Pick your dances, any dances (should be from SCD)
[or some are picking new] --may be difficult learning new ones cos of BIG
Whiffle, who now has the job as KD Dance Compiler will need to be included on deadline decision😉

I would think the only deadline could be the 1st date of KD or the announcement by Jaliona of the dances they are going to be doing.

If the list is compiled earlier though, the winning 3 dances (plus the paso) could be tweeted to them. Just to see if we still have any power left over from the good old days

That sounds like a plan Hannah.
Let's have a deadline in time to inform Jaliona of their schedule - I am laughing😁.
(I think they'd be pleased - would save them reaching a decision if we do the hard work for them.&#128514

After all what has Robin got to do with organising a balanced programme for his own show?😆
(Actually, I do think Robin will probably leave the choice to J and A.)

See if Whiffle can decide on a closing date💃

Last time I did tongue in cheek it was lost in translation.
Wonder if this one will work😂😂😄😄😊😊

Only quoting myself because I haven't a clue why I have a # and number instead of a bracket?!?

It works very nicely.
It can sometimes get lost can't it.

Robin would be very grateful I'm sure for us to do all the work. 😂😂

However, in all seriousness 😂 , when we have the full list, that could assist J&A to prepare old AND new dances for their tour next Spring/summer 😉😉😜😜👊👫👊

ETA Go into edit and put a couple of full stops between the emoji and the bracket. For some reason they don't like being right next to each other

*Creeps quietly in *

I'm really sorry if I upset anyone last night.....and that's all I'm going to say, for fear of re-igniting anything.

My choice of dances would be
Waltz
Charleston
Showdance
And of course, the paso

Am off to bed now and wish everyone a peaceful night 💤💤💤 xx

*Creeps back out again*

Correct!! Wouldn't that be great 💃💃

I think they would show their gratitude by giving us all free tickets😍😂

Haven't a clue what you're referring to, so very much doubt it. Rest easy.

How's the knee now?
It'll be telling you the same thing??😄

Just trust to your physios. They will help you get there.

Now if you think someone is needed to assist the Aussie and the Poet, pass them warm towels, therapy oils etc then just let me know and I'll be there cos they sound rather nice

Funny how sometimes things are straightforward and at other times you've got to work at it.

Friend had hip replacement last year, fell and broke it 3 months later - double ouch -

That set back caused a bit of extra agro as you can imagine.

Now feels everything is a whole better and on the up , so I am sure you are definitely on the mend 👏

The Poet was none too pleased the other day As he said, well, we're back to where we started now, aren't we?! And he finished off by telling me that physios can only do so much......most of my recovery will be "down to hard graft from me at home"

Oh dear, even poets have their moods.....well, perhaps especially poets. So, slapped wrist accepted and hard graft in process.....

Maybe he would benefit from your help, you sound very knowledgeable
