Yes, it wouldn't really pay to have

But just be guided by the stars
Hanging out in Plymouth bars
Or flying kites upon The Hoe
To avoid that dreadful all time low...

Well I know that I'm a homing cat
Who always knows just where J's at
And so I'd follow my sweet pink nose
To go wherever his sweetness goes
But I'll have you know that I'm no stalker
Just an extremely fast feline walker

But knowing the Jay that we all know,
He'd be sure you meant to reach The Hoe.
So, ever the knight in shining armour,
He'd want you to have, what makes you calmer.
Onto his trusty steed he'd leap,
Then ride to your side: so you could keep
Your dreams alive: to watch his Show,
And meet him - at last......Please make it so!

You've wrapped it up beautifully, Rafferty, thank you

I hope your dream comes true too, Korky.

To meet him this way would be so fine
And at The Hoe I'd be on time
To see him act and dance and sing
And then he'd take me under his wing.
To avoid the crowd of loud young fans
He'd whisper of his secret plans
And away we'd ride into the night
A trusty friend and her handsome knight.

It's far too early for me to retire,
You know I'm a thing of the night.
I'll give you a clue, and that's: I am a flier,
But not one that gives you a fright.
Well, not a big one, at least, I earnestly hope,
Or even a small one, at that.
I just wish to bring cheer, and I'm trying to cope
With a workload that's huge: for a cat.
I've got cheer packed in bags, slung over my back,
And some that is hung round my neck.
There's more on each leg, and I've just found the knack
Of free distribution - spray the deck.
Then everyone gets a liberal dose,
So all will get what they need.
Some will pass it along, to those who are close,
Then everyone gets a good feed.

PS. Really need a picture of a cat in a helicopter, with a hosepipe, here.

My last ditty was a late-night response to your post, which I could have sworn said that you were hoping that we weren't about 'to retire yet, as 'tis fun'. When I returned with it, those words were gone, so my beginning of it looks a bit daft. I edit my posts often enough, so I should have known better, and waited a few more moments. Sorry...

ETA. Well, the whole thing looks a bit daft, actually, if I'm honest. But have I ever claimed to be anything else?....

They are great pics from the BIG 'sitzprobe' aren't they? Only 3 sleeps to go before BIG opens in Plymouth - have a great feeling about it!

BTW: Jessica has promised some BIG ink works soon too - loved her Inktober work

No it doesn't! And no you're not. It adds to the fun when people join in.

Polly - thanks for the links. There's certainly a great rapport building there, and grace in making answers sound fresh when being asked the same questions over and over!

I had to laugh about who's getting wound up.

I did alter my words as I didn't want to put pressure on anyone.

You post does not look daft at all and I hope we all continue the poetic fun this evening. Perhaps more will join in too! In the meantime here's a picture of J this morning. 💕

The publicity's certainly going full pelt for Dublin, should be great craic!

I just looked at the Beeb blog and see that Kevin and Louise have fabulous music for their Argentine Tango. Borewood will be doubtless be transported by the number of ganchos, especially if he's got his glasses on and has learned to count by now.

Hi Jayfan and Polly! All these interviews are brilliant-we are truly being spoilt at the moment! Fantastic to see Jay so relaxed and witty! He seems to be brimming with enthusiasm and confidence; the musical theatre appears to be a good place for him to thrive! Enjoying all the snippets from reharsals from all the cast and production team. They all seem to be lovely people.
Thanks to Deise for all the marvellous video snippets and interviews too! She is brilliant with all the techy stuff!
Thank you to everyone who has posted Big things-I'm sorry if I forget to mention anyone or sometimes get mixed up with who originally sourced or posted them-but I am really appreciative of them all!
Hard to believe the first show is this Saturday! I am green with envy for all the lucky people going to Plymouth. I'm positive they will have a fabulous time and hope that they will share the odd picture and gem with us!

Brilliant PollyT - not long to go - it will be brilliant

Thanks fridgesoup for offer of an opening night review - it will be super
- mean the opening night AND your review will be super

Thanks for the links PollyT

Wonder if that was the interview I saw on t'internet as Diana makes some similar points - though it was a couple of days ago.

Diana was in the Rocky Horror Show from late last summer/autumn until earlier this year - so in it for more or less a year - and now she in Big so....

She says she had a quiet year before Rocky Horror and then she goes on to say ....
'then the Rocky Horror came along, and then Big came along and I was like "Oh my goodness, I've had a year of downtime, now I've got 2 years straight, booked up". '

A bit of working out implies Big was sorted out last year - think J said that it was his ITT clip in Biggins' Buggy which caught the Big producer's eye last year?

.... and a bit more working out suggests Diana expects to be in Big for a year, maybe?

But I am useless as Sherlock Holmes, so could be completely misreading it?

Thanks everyone for the links and pics and clips and poems

ETA we'll be going onto Part 7 soon so did a quick weekly average.
Part 6 has well in the 40,000+ views a week overall - and that includes the quiet weeks in mid summer when nothing much was happening.

Suspect the weekly view is higher still now.

The views don't count refreshes or even going away and coming back a few minutes later - I did a little test ages ago - so it isn't the same people 'refreshing' the pages.

Hi Fred
I think the 98 FM interview was done the day they were in Dublin but it was only broadcast this morning on radio. Am sure a lot of the same topics are covered - what struck me as being so fabulous is the great rapport there appears to be between all the cast members. Jay and Diana have great banter between them - Gregor Stewart (Jays (JOSH) stand-in - I think - could be wrong) has tweeted a lot of great pics too between Halloween, the Bowling, the Sitzprobe yesterday, etc
Looking forward to Fridgesoups and all the reviews from Plymouth
Fred.

Thanks for the explanation Polly ) - it was a written interview I saw so maybe a different one? Anyway, the same points seem to be covered - J and Diana are very patient about being asked the same things, and, as you say, have a great rapport. The whole cast seem to get on so well - a very good sign for the show

BIB. I won't get the chance to pop in until later tonight, so hopefully things will be in full swing when I get here!

And, thank you, Korky and BB. Tho' it's possible, that the non-poets probably think I'm absolutely bonkers, when they see some of the things I come out with....

Ah sorry Fred - The Independent.ie one was from Sunday Independent, Living Section, I believe. They certainly had a very busy day in Dublin, judging by the amount of interviews and appearances they made.
Yes! Looking great

Thanks for the wonderful video links of the interviews. I love the rapport between Jay and Diana. I feel Jay is in the right place to have a lot of fun with the hard work that Big will be and to have a really good relationship with his co actors. I also feel Jay has a unifying force when he works with others and is sorely missed in this year's Strictly. His relationship with Aliona was so intense and profound and resulted in the most captivating partnership on Strictly. I feel Diana is able to hold her own with Jay's quick wit and they have a teasing sibling relationship. The boy is doing well!!! Jan Bx.

Yes, he's a real team player who seems to have the ability to bring out the best in people. Generosity of spirit is a wonderful thing, and Jay is blessed with it in abundance.

For all his teasing, he is genuinely respectful of his partner, and I think she's starting to trust him and really appreciate that.

I feel a bit sad for Aliona, who must really be feeling out of it this year. It must have taken an awful lot to walk away from Strictly and the dancing she loves so much, and that must be heightened by Jay's obvious delight in moving forward with BIG. After Edinburgh, that will be it for their dancing for a while, and I bet she's really feeling that. Hopefully there'll be something on the horizon for her to look forward to, with or without Jay, maybe choreography, TV or another theatre show. I don't think she's finished with dance by a long mile.

Hi All,

Don't know if it's been posted yet but there's another interview with Jay with The Herald on MD. It's currently on the top of the homepage: http://www.mcguinessdaily.com

I think I've read it but not heard it before?!
