So in answer to your question. No. (I seem to be saying no an awful lot just lately...)

Technical terms now in use for lifts.
Cartwheels
Carthorses (depending who does them. .😂..)
Flips
Flops
Spins
Thingummy.”

Overrated's flip was definitely a flop...

More important, where was the armography that is normally deemed to be soooo important, and while I'm on a roll, most important, what were Ore and Darcey discussing at the start of the dance? Was she reassuring him that she had her 9 paddle at the ready (actually I don't know what she scored him, but it must have been something like that).

If I feel particularly evil later I might inflict my latest YT discovery on everyone - Japanese Synchronised Walking anyone?”

Her dress strap dropped down at the start of the dance I believe.

Wasn't surprised when I saw the spoiler last night and the bottom two.
Thought Laura and Giovanni looked relieved to go to be honest.
Salsa was not any better. Sure I spotted Joanne pausing and taking a deep breath before the final (inelegant) lift.

Finally watched the salsa. Oh dear me - had to watch J&A to expunge the awful images.

I noticed that too jayfan. Seems the ' roll the lady up on to your shoulder' lift (have no idea of the proper name for it!) seems popular this year. I think Greg , Claudia & possibly Rob have all also attempted it to varying levels of success.

Yes, and the untruths uttered afterwards...

On the SCD tours I thought Joanne was a good dancer and she has been a world champion I think? But a few times this series (charleston, salsa, jive) I think she really has not been very good. Not sure why.

99% Ballroom expert? I don't like her personality either. Maybe she'll be out next week...

BIG CHEER for Jay smashing it on the first night! It seems to be a good cast too, and Jay just seems to be a catalyst for generating a good mood among people, so I expect it will be an enjoyable Show to be part of.

Fingers crossed he stays healthy for the whole run.

It is a great opportunity for Jay to hone his acting and singing skills, and who knows where it will all lead?

About a year ago, who would have forseen all that happened?

He is an amazing guy, and maybe an example of Karma? What you give out comes back?

It was jawdropping rubbish but perhaps many saw through it this time.

I've said that I would love to see him straight acting. He certainly has the intelligence and interpretative skills.

Ooh. Where was that Jayfan. I've seen a few praising it and the Huff post off on one of its strange reports

What was said? Ore, you are the bestest dancer in the universe and that was the bestest salsa we've ever seen and you should not even have been eligible for the danceoff?

Hi everyone,

Hope all you lucky travellers are home safe from Plymouth

A thought came to me while fast forwarding scd results show Childred in Need often have excerpts from musicals on, what do you think the chances are Big could do a spot?

How great would that be

When Ore put Joanne down after the last lift it looked very clumsy - this is in the DO.

And Bruno pointing right down the camera and saying 'We didn't put you there (in the DO). If you didn't vote don't moan"

Nobody is moaning Bruno (well not at my watercooler). Just do your job and Judge and vote in the dance off. Don't tell us who we should vote for.

This traveller is home, but still defrosting.

Re CiN, it's usually West End shows, so hopefully next year for Big.
Can't happen this year because CiN is on 18 November and Jay's in Edinburgh.

To be honest I was more excited to hear about how Big was going than watching Strictly. Sad but true...”

Post of the day.
(Had to quote KLTKD's original post because otherwise you might have wondered what Hannah was referring to, as both posts are now several hours old. )

I always thought that but after this weekend I think I thoroughly deserve a hug, so am almost going to demand one next weekend!
Anyway, I think you probably wouldn't have to ask - just say his name and stand there with your arms open ......

Or else say 'Hi Jay, I'm Korky - the mistress of your undercrackers.'
To which Jay will reply 'And so much more I believe. Your devotion to your many duties deserves a hug.'

Hmmm... As Mistress of the Bedchamber I will put it to him tonight...

Welcome back from Plymouth Nelliek!

Hannah- the tweets complaining about the DO were just random ones I came across on Twitter.

Well everyone, what will this week bring???
jayfan

Call me an old cynic but:

Greg has a book out
Ed has a book out
Anastasia launched her tour the week she left Strictly
Laura has just announced that she is touring in a play next year

Did the celebs always use Strictly like this?
Or is this just the first time I have noticed?
