Could you post it on the thread, do you think? (afraid I didn't buy one and don't trust my memory enough.. )”

Hi fridgesoup - it was lovely to see you and Rosedroplet again as well.

Happy to post the quote. In response to the question 'what would your one Zoltar wish be' Jay's response was:

I wish for either world peace for all races, religions, genders, ages and species in the universe, or a pet monkey that can talk and do tax returns.

There is a photo of it posted on McGuiness 24/7.

WOW reviews .................(blows make believe trumpet)

Thank you so much to all the ladies who braved the cold, travel problems and ailments to bring us your reviews, so exciting.

I have been like a cat on a hot tin roof all day, looking on the internet and wishing success to Jay and the cast.

Will be arranging a long weekend in London when BIG hits the big smoke

Though..........I have a have a week off in December.................might just look at flights available around then

Go for it! If I could persuade my husband to go to Dublin without making him think I had lost all control of my senses , I would. Meanwhile, I'm waiting to go again in the West End.

PS In case you didn't see it, I did a quick review on Saturday night as well.

There are poems inside my memories
And words behind my eyes
And the stories of the past
Bring blessings in disguise

Clear songs come from his humanity
And pure dancing from his feet
And his past has made his future
Present life appears so sweet

A little bit OT, but I am watching ITT and have just realised that Laura going out has broken the unwritten rule about the person who performs first on the first show always getting through into the final.

Reading an article in the newspaper today, the nasty cold weather's apparently due to a weak vortex. Sounds like something Borewood would suffer from....”

Really?

Who openend in 2015? I know, it wasn't Jay. He opened the second show.

Don't know if this has been posted but Tom Hanks is on Graham Norton.
Who's gonna tweet and ask Tom if he knows about BIG the Musical premiering this week with Jay McGuiness playing Josh?

What I can say is that James McGuiness has a lot to answer for. I've never fangirled in my life and here I am, Wembley , O2 x2, Wimbledon x2, and now BIG😳
I'm not a regular theatre goer, nor a musicals fan, so my expectations were low as is my cringe threshold . BUT the staging was clever and effective, the cast were excellent- didn't cringe once, and Jay blew me away, he WAS Josh, he totally inhabited the character and for the most part, I forgot he was Jay- until he danced, of course😍People, let me reassure you that his feet are just as fast, he's smooth, slick, breathtaking,
FAB-U-LOUS

There is a particular moment, and those who have seen it, and those who are going to see it ,will know when I mean, I was set to rush the stage and make sure that little boy in that big body was safe and ok. Utterly believable, drawn in to that moment, breaking my heart😢
I was happy to go and just support Jay , but it was so much more. I think the highest accolade I can pay , is simply to say that if it comes to the West End, I shall go again. It is a great BIG success for him and I hope it's a commercial one too.
Take confidence young man, you did good , and I for one, feel very proud of him.”

👋👋👋waves. Lovely to hear from you again Rosedroplet.
What a great report. It sounds absolutely great

I was going to say that we were lucky to have picked Jay and Aliona to support last year because there has been such larks and excitement during and after SCD.

But then I realised for me, I did not really have a choice about supporting Jay and Aliona, I was kind of 'invaded' by them and life has never been quite the same since!

Hi sky_lark.

I received your PM ok, so you did it right! I replied to you (because I need an e-mail address to be able to send you the copies). If you look at the top of your screen, you should see the word 'private message' and it should say next to it you have a new message. If you click where it says private message, it will take you to a list of messages - click on the one from me and you can reply.

Hopefully, we can take it from there!

I think it was about 10.10 but not 100% sure.

ETA: Running time meant to be just under 2hrs plus interval (20mins I think) it says on the facebook page.

You can't fight against the Jayforce! It's like falling in love: you know it's sometimes going to be a rocky path but feel powerless to resist...

So true. I had no intention of supporting anyone but the first time I saw - and heard of!- Jay was the jive! And then as you say there was no choice whatsoever.

I've just found a blog review of BIG. The comments on Jay's voice are pretty fair, as his voice was nothing like his usual self due to his cold, but he gets a good reviews for his acting and dancing and the show gets a good write up. Hopefully as his throat gets better, he'll be starring on all fronts

I appreciate the honesty in this fairly kind review. It was just unfortunate that J had throat problems and a cold on his opening night. Perhaps someone on twitter could explain this to her and it could be added to her blog.
