Well, he did say in one of the interviews that he was taking the character of Josh over into real life!
Seems like a good excuse to post this ITT video - it's relevant to the 'embodying the character' comments, and if nothing else might cheer up Friday morning ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBhUp3nDYFg ![]() Quote:
Ali & Vin were there last night:
https://twitter.com/bigthemusical/st...21262061125632 Also KD have tweeted saying that Jaliona will be doing a short Q&A session in Edinburgh. You lucky lot who are going! Ive already tweeted my question - have sooo many really but left it to one but seeing them this day next week was enough - the Q & A is the cherry on top of something Ive been looking forward to since booking the tickets in April - excited is putting it mildly.

I am guessing that they might not do all 4 dances now and that one of the slots will be the Q and A session.

I thought they only did three dances - the jive, paso and salsa. My guess is they'll only do the jive, or maybe the jive and waltz?
I don't think they will do any new dances. |

On the train to Plymouth again.
![]() And a whole lot warmer than last weekend. (a) inner carriage door shuts and (b) am wearing my new padded coat. Does make me feel like the Michelin man (as well as look like him, too ) but with Edinburgh coming up next week as well warmth is more important than elegance.Wanted to have a kip but am failing dismally at the moment. Expect I'll nod off about ten minutes before we arrive in Plymouth. There might have been a baby gremlin lurking in the stage set-up last Saturday because at the end of the interval the safety curtain went up, but then came down again for about five minutes. Have also noticed that in the list of songs in the brochure that the song Josh sings when he's first in New York 'I wanna go home' isn't listed. Have to say that I can't wait for the CD to arrive. Wish now that I'd opted for express delivery.

A while ago, someone ( sorry can't remember who) posted that on the Strictly website, strictly series 14 was going to be available to buy re download, whole series or week by week, but not series 13. Having been told by consultant that I had been doing too much on the poorly foot and needed to rest it, I put my foot up and decided to go on a long a tortuous route to contacting the Beeb and ask why. Which I did.
To cut a very long story short, trying the website and going round in circles and back to the start then trying to phone and getting pushed from pillar to post, eventually a kind sole explained series 13 wasn't available, because the Beeb didn't think it would be commercially viable to sell as they probably didn't think it would be popular. I said to him that they were ignoring that fact that the final was the 2nd most watched programme in 2015 and the winner had a huge fan base worldwide, quite a few of which would pay to have the whole series. He agreed and said he would pass my comments on. Sometimes I think the BBC have their heads up their @rses😡 |

On a different topic - have you seen this? Why haven't they got it for last year?? http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006m8dq/products/1 The dance clips are all available going back for years, but not the whole shows. Nearly Part 7 Something to cheer us up on such a miserable day. ![]() (hope it's OK to quote myself under the circumstances) Thanks for chasing it down ![]() Should think some of J's and Strictly's worldwide fans would love it - as well as some who missed bits last year. Surely would be worth the BBC adding last year's Strictly to the list? Can't see it would be vastly expensive to do, especially as the music rights must be already sorted for the clips of each dance - as they've been free to see on the BBC Strictly site since last year. Unless it makes a difference if they're paid for? ![]() Beat me to it ahouch (Thanks for the next installment.) Have a great time tonight and tomorrow - for those going to Big ![]() Wonder if J and A are cutting bits of some dances for KD - maybe the lifts? That could allow for a 'short' Q and A session? Wonder if Part 6 will be the first thread to be allowed to get to 1 million views ![]() + all the other millions of views for Parts 1 - 5 ETA - thanks Strictly Red ![]() The first thread ever to get past 1 million views ![]() ![]() ETA again - not the first then - the earlier threads did it first

Apparently the server issues that previously required them to split threads on a regular basis have been resolved, so part 6 could go on for some time, maybe for ever...... 1 million views here we come! ![]() Edit: people must still read the closed parts of the thread, as parts 1 and 2 both have over 1 million now.

Just a thought, maybe if others contacted them, it might make them realise their mistake in not making it available. Can't see series 14 being a download success. |

The Beeb never really got the magic did they?
I've just been watching Liz Jackson's Black Velvet compilation. It's beautiful. So, naturally, I then went on to watch J&A's showdance again. And again. I think they're at their very best in those 'cool' dances. When Aliona's back to work again, it would be wonderful if they could do some kind of 'travelling' dance programme together - they've already proved they're TV gold. We can only hope.... I must be the only person in the known universe who's never watched Bake Off! |

Hope you all have a great time tomorrow Nellie, Jayfan and Strictly Red. No, I don't hope, I know you will
![]() Some people had been worrying whether big will make it into the West End or not - Damian has responded to a question about it on twitter saying ' all will be revealed' which sound positive. Maybe they are waiting to be able to announce a theatre. ETA Snap Polly - we obviously both had the same thought at the same time ! |
