Some nice photos tweeted of Jay in Edinburgh today.

Thanks for the pics, tweet links etc.

Sounds like KD was brilliant last night. Is anyone going today??

If you've missed any BIG reviews I've popped them altogether here

Glad Jnb posted it. Wasn't sure if she wanted to make public or not.

Hello all

I just dropped in to say hi and report that I was at a work event today and met someone from the Children's Bereavement Centre in Newark. I decided to come clean about the reason that I knew of their existence was because of one certain Mr Jay McGuiness. We then had a lovely chat about the power of social media for fundraising based on the amazing campaign by some this thread alumni (are any of them still around?) and what a small world it is!!

It was great to chat to her, also a little discombobulating to mix work with personal interests and confess my fan status at a work event, but very very nice to hear how grateful they were for all the support.

Good friends for ever
Smiles dewy-eyed
Knowing that shortly
Their paths will divide

Best friends for ever
Though they must soon part
But each always carrying
The other in their heart

Good to hear this.

Yes, it was a wonderful idea and the donations were from all of us on this thread.

According to his dad, Jay has apparently seen that great review of Big from Celebmix.
Hope he is thrilled.

Thanks for this bit of news.
Amazing the number of people brought together in so many different ways by last year's SCD and Jaliona.

Absolutely, and apologies Korky, as I just read back my post and realised I hadn't worded properly and it could be read as implying otherwise, which it wasn't meant to at all. There was an outpouring of generosity by DS Jaliona fans and it's very good to know that the CBC still remember this almost a year on!

No need for any apologies, Sunshineband. "All good!"

I recall that you were the Jayite who won tickets to the tour... 🍀

In preparation for KD, I was rewatching the rumba and came across Rachel's black and white slow version of the dance, which I had forgotten about. I then watched the VW, which has never been a particular favourite of mine.
I then started to wonder why on earth I had had any doubts that Jay would be good at acting.

I watched Rachel's video yesterday and the tears were pouring down my face.

I never got the chance to download the DVD of Jaliona strictly story and I'm kicking myself. I'd love to watch the whole thing now.

ETA: Just found my Tour video uploads (YT collection) If anyone is interested...

ETA2: Off to bed... Good night.

Yes - the depth & intensity of emotion in the rumba is very moving. It feels very real & seems to come from deep inside. Very, very special.

BTW love that you're doing 'homework' before going to KD jayfan ✍✍

Yes indeed you are right! I was lucky enough to win tickets to the show in Sheffield and see the 'live Jive' as I like to call it.

This year's Strictly is a much less emotional experience, although I backed Robert Rinder from the start and am pleasantly surprised to see how well he is progressing.

I quite like Robert - fourth place behind Ed, Greg (but not keen on Natalie) and Claudia. I have no emotional investment in any of them though.
