That's good!

I keep catching snippets of TW songs as backgrounds in TV programmes at the moment - although the other day I heard one track and was trying to place it when I realised it was actually Coldplay 'When I Ruled The World'. I've watched TW's Coldplay medley so often that I now associate it with them rather than Coldplay

Hi TT - I feel cheeky asking, but would be incredibly grateful for a link, please, if that would be ok?

Not a problem

Anyone who wants, please PM me to give me your email addy.

ETA1: I will only send to those whose names I recognize from this forum - so please no newbies or lurkers.

ETA2: I am currently re-uploading (as I seem to have lost my previous uploads), so it may be a few hours before I can send out links.

Hello, everyone!
I wanted to keep up with the thread quicker but since we have holidays from today until Monday, I had a lot of work yesterday... plus going to the midnight function of Fantastic Beasts

I didn't mean to upset anyone by sharing the KD review I completely agree with what you all say. I think some people might think that just because Jay and Ali are on the show and it's their appearance that is being promoted the most, the whole show will be just them and, sadly, that's not the case. As I read in some replies, the person who wrote that review should also take in consideration Ali's pregnancy. Even if we all would love to see every single one of their dances in a 2 hour long show, they should understand that's not the case here...

I hope everyone is doing well. Have a great ThursJay!

I agree, and think The Wanted's version of 'When I Ruled The World'is far better than Coldplay's. And I adore their Coldplay medley with Jay on the drums, having a glorious time!

That man is a firecracker of untapped talent, never fully appreciated on the group.

It was the best movie ever!!!! And it's just not my Hufflepuff self talking The cast is great, the story is so amazing... Eddie Redmayne is so so so great! I was a bit doubtful about the cast being kind of "Hollywood-ish", but they're the right choices. I didn't really like Collin Farell much before but he's really good in the movie, too.
Also the "beasts" are a huge part of the movie (duh ) and if you've read the Fantastic Beasts books, you can see how well portrayed they are in the movie. Sad they don't show every single one but hey, there are other 4 more movies to wait for that to happen
AND there are quite a few surprising moments, but towards the end there's one that just leaves you like: Go watch it whenever you can and avoid spoilers!!

I can offer to upload as well, but it would be a MEGA Link. So you will either need to download on a computer or use the app.

Example links in the spoiler
Spoiler

It should have been a perfect score

Wheel of Wonder with Jay

Same restrictions as with TT would apply

ETA: Would need a pm to send the link. Will take about 5 hours to upload one part (2GB each).

Do it! I watched it on 3D and even though there were a few cool 3D moments, I think 2D will be just fine. I don't know which formats you have over there. Here is 2D and 3D only

Also, way back in the early days of Edinburgh being announced someone (possibly Sine, but don't quote me on
that ) kindly posted details of the whereabouts of the stage door at the Playhouse. All I can remember is that it's down an alley and down some steps. Can anyone give more precise details please?

OT for this post, but yes, I have voted for J&A's salsa. ”

It was me - my former second home! (Yes, still here, just lurking rather than posting mostly, I don't really have anything to add that hasn't been said a million times already - except this.)

Come out the front of the theatre, turn right and walk past the Theatre Royal pub. Turn down the road on your right just past the pub, walk down the hill to the bottom, then turn right along the cobbles. It's a bit hidden away - and a bit of a trek to get back up.

The steps are on the other side of the theatre, they sometimes let the audience out that way. If you come out on the steps, go up them and then turn right to get back to the front of the building.

And yes, as far as food goes you're right that the Omni (Slug and Lettuce/Nando's/Pizza Hut/etc.) is your best bet. There's a lovely little Italian on the corner of London Road if you walk down past the Playhouse and the Theatre Royal, but it's often very busy.

Evening all.

Arrived in Edinburgh from a wet and windy Cardiff airport. Must have been a good tailwind as flight was 15 minutes early!

Lots of traffic. Leonardo De Caprio is in town (no idea why) and taxi driver mentioned some sort of Christmas market is on this weekend so heavy traffic may continue. Just letting people know for any travel arrangements.

Pack your woollies because it's cold, although not raining!

Really looking forward to KD and meeting Jalionistas.

I do hope we get to hear some thing to do about the questions or the music tonight.
Bye for now

Shame you're not going to Edinburgh with at least one new dance taking place.

BIB 1 - And Sine (sure it was her this time!) posted about there being road works in the area as well.
And frankly, who cares about Leonardo. Wouldn't it be hilarious if he was walking along the road, heard the thunder of several pairs of feet - only for those feet to go shooting past him and yell 'Jay'. (Not that Leonardo-I will-lecture-you-about-saving-the-world-though-I-fly-thousands-of-miles would be likely to be walking along the street anyway.)

BIB 2 - That's why I bought a new (knee-length) coat the other week.

Ha! Good luck with that Nellie!

Before he ventures forth I always do up his buttons and zips, pull his beanie hat on and wrap his scarf twice around his neck, but once off the leash he gets warm and undoes my good work. He just doesn't feel the cold as I do - which has its benefits sometimes...

Popping in to endorse your woolllies suggestion Jelly - if you have a thermal vest so much the better. Leo is in town doing Business Awards - commotion was around him visiting a restaurant which is run to give profits to homeless. Also saturday is start of Xmas markets in princes st gardens - worth a visit if you've time. Also if you go on the big wheel you get fabulous views out over the river. Edinburgh always heaving with people in run up to Xmas + roadworks. Leave plenty of time. Enjoy!

You can walk from Waverley station to London if you like, but the more relevant question is 'how long would it take me to walk from . . . . .'

Google maps says it's about half a mile and approximately 12 minutes to the hotel from the station.
