One nearer in age, and one who will
Render all raging torment - still,
By bringing superb, heart-mending skill.

I sat back with confidence, feeling quite sure
That a person would come, and knock at my door.
So imagine my surprise, when I looked up and saw
That a ginger cat had appeared on my floor.

"I hope" he said, "that you don't think I'm rude,
As I wouldn't normally want to intrude,
But I'm your superb Heart-Mending dude.
And by the way, have you got any food?"

'My Goodness', I said 'this is a surprise.
I was expecting a person, and didn't realise
That cat-food was needed for all of our tries
To win the Calm and Happy Heart Prize'.

"No worries" he said, "I can wait, while you get
Some. Meanwhile, I'll meet your visitor, and set
The wheels in motion, towards healing, and let
Nature take it's course, until all needs are met."

And so, day by day, I watched with pleasure,
The gentle work of this little treasure,
As confidence and happiness grew without measure,
All done without the merest hint of pressure.

Now DV has gone, moved on, and moved out,
Happier now, with less stress and less doubt.
I must thank you Little Cat, for working flat out
With kindness, though it's not just your heart that is stout!

I would like to say, that when you need a bed
Little Cat, you have one, it has to be said.
And whenever you're hungry, you're sure to be fed
At my house, you're always welcome - take that as read.”

Bravo for Ginge!
Bravo for your poem too, Rafferty!

Aw lovely poem Rafferty💕💕. Cats are so sensitive to human moods. I'm sure Little Cat really helped your DV.

Billy and little Josh are part of the cast and don't change from location to location- according to one of the 3 Billys in Plymouth

I don't think Jay has a lot of stage time with the other kids?

Only on iPlayer tomorrow, Jayfan. I often follow the live thread on the MF though. Quite funny sometimes.

I have only skimmed through today's blogs but the map at the back of Jay and Max I am pretty sure is Jays. He did a video with Tom (twin Tom) and Tray at his flat in 2012 (ish) and that map was on the wall/ceiling. Is he in LA or is Max and Thomas A over here? I presume they are at his house/flat.
I have booked Dublin for the 4 Jan so hope to meet a few of you. OH is going too. He doesn't EVER watch strictly and is so fed of me going on about Jay but is quite happy to go with me anyway. Just watched Danny. I am so glad Jay never went bare chested even though he has a great body. God the judges are so OTT this year.
I can't stop watching The Wanted singing Viva la Vida with Jay on the drums. Brilliant. Think he got the jacket out of somebody's rag bag though!
Another 40 for Danny then.
Sorry ranted on a bit (blame the large G n T).
Thank you to Jnb and Polly etc for the info for booking. I can get half way to NZ for what it has cost.
Just watched Ore. Him and Danny are really good but they still don't have Jay's X factor.
Going now honestly.

Watching SCD with my dad

He said it is becoming all about the spectacle. Not about the dancing.

I liked Louise tonight for the first time.

Very odd to have the three best dancers first.

There's a hilarious post from Jo7 on the Beeb blog - it's no 14 on the last rehearsal bit.

It really aggravates me that they're marking so high this year, when they had the creme de la creme last year and continually put him down.

JLP - I recognised the map too - maybe they are all in the UK after all, unless J still has a pad in LA. The furnishing is very man-cave! I did wonder why J would want to go long-haul so close to the Dublin run.

Hi jayfan hope you're feeling better. Yes I'm watching, as well as lurking on the NAT. (It's V funny on there) Agree it's a bit odd having the 'frontrunners' all going together at the beginning.
Is your Dad a big Strictly fan?

He is.

Shouting rubbish at the judges at the moment after Claudia's scores.

ETA yes. feeling much thank you

My thoughts on SCD tonight

Loved Claudia's routine

Judge undermarked

Did like Louise

Enjoy Ed but he may have overplayed it tonight

Yes BB I read Jo7s post, thought it was very clever and very funny, so tongue in cheek,it could be so close to the truth. I would love to read the full version as Jo7 said it had been shortened. Well worth a read.

Thought the dancing was a lot better tonight than at Blackpool, though. But the scoring was just as silly.

Well, I can truthfully say that I need someone with valves and what-nots, so I'm going to claim first dibs on him, Korky.
My central heating is switched off, but the radiators are boiling hot, and the thermostat is saying 25.5 degrees! My 'central-heating man-who-does' thinks one of the valves (he did say which, but I've forgotten) might have got stuck.

My comments on tonight's SCD are barely repeatable in polite society.
I don't know what Bruno was on, describing Danny's samba as like a 'pagan mating ritual'.
How the heck long did it take Ore and Jo to start dancing?
And as for Lens' comment that the cha-cha challenge had the potential to shake up the leader board - pfft. Yeah, right. Cue sound of hollow laughter.

Because of going to Plymouth and Edinburgh I missed the last three week's SCD. After tonight's show I really don't know if I can be bothered to watch them.

agree with your dad Jayfan, thought AJ and Claudia were under scored again tonight, they must be so disheartend Concidering AJ had never danced a AT before I thougt their routine was brilliant.

I can certainly confirm that J is in happy possession of the necessary valves and whatnots to finish the job, Nellie. He just has to optimise the Flex Coupling and is in the midst of adjusting the Directional Jet and Drip Channel...

Evening everyone,

many many thanks to all the wonderful reports from the intrepid Jaliona supporters

Laid up in bed at moment took my dog out this morning and slipped on asphalt, flat on my back.....well flat on my well padded backside but still jarred my back. So ibuprofen gelled up to eyebrows.....whey..hey

Couldn't watch Scd tonight, watched Avatar first then watched the dances.

What an absolute farce, loved Claudia and Aj, what the hell were Ore and Jo dancing
and the scoring??????

If Claudia and AJ go out then thats me finished not interested in anyone else, 1 is professional dancer, 1 a trained dancer who was a judge on a dance show..?and the other tooooo intense

Firstly, massive thank you to matrishka, Jayfan and Arnostae for the videos and the links to them - so lovely to see those glorious, graceful, elegant, extended lines from Jay again. Thanks to everyone, too, for the links to reviews, interviews and other goodies.

Watched bits of SCD tonight. Much wailing and gnashing of teeth on Cloudier's behalf - that was a really great shot at an AT and it deserved, in comparative terms, better scores. Danny's dance was really good - but it's still ruddy musical theatre. Naffed off with the whole blinking thing at the mo.

Hope Jay's toe is OK. Don't want that causing BIG problems!
