They must be nearly at the end of the matinee now.

I know Jayfan said that Damien was on his way to Dublin yesterday. He (or Crown Management) have tweeted that they are proud to be at the premiere.

Love's orchestra strikes up
To the baton of time
Finely tuned instruments
With each other then chime

The melody's played
With layers of sound
Building to a crescendo
With feelings unbound

My heart must be bowed
Like a fine violin
So care must be taken
To keep your hand in

Pluck at my heartstrings
As on a great harp
But do not be flat
And never be sharp

Strum with your fingers
As if on guitar
And please do not tire
Before the end of the bar

Beat your own drum
If you wish but beware
Modesty's vital
In this great love affair

Stay always in tune
And in the right key
For then you and I
Will have unity

Let's sing in harmony
With no discord
Like a perfect tune
Tapped on a keyboard

Keep up with the rhythm
Of sublime symphony
With a perfect flourish
To yield rhapsody

Don't break your strings
Or we'll disengage
And you will be playing
To an empty stage”

Yes, love is an orchestra
Of a thousand strings
Invisibly playing
many beautiful things

But it's all in the timing
of getting things right
And the orchestra's playing
Will be magic tonight!

It will all come together
Of that there's no doubt
For the musicians all know
A thing or two about
Playing together
And making sweet sounds
Backing young Jay
Whose huge talent astounds

QUOTE=jayfan;84827527]Hi everyone
Damien said that only 5 or 6 theatres across the UK and Eire could stage Big because of the set, including Plymouth and Dublin..[/quote]

Thanks for confirming, that was the point I was trying to make and why I was worried about finding a suitable and available venue for Big now.

So sad to hear the news of Greg Lake. " I believe in Father Christmas " always has been my favourite Christmas song. RIP Greg in good company up there this year.

It's a triumphal night for Jay and everyone connected with BIG - a gloriously happy time for all of us who care about this talented and charismatic young man. The production is clearly slick and professional, the PR appropriate and proactive and the choice of theatre is in very safe hands indeed. I'm really looking forward to booking, wherever it is. Shows switch from theatre to theatre, especially during long runs and no doubt negotiations have been underway for some time.

Everything's positive, Jayfan! We have every reason to be overjoyed for Jay and the cast. He's wanted this career and fits Josh as a genuine alter ego. I couldn't be happier for him.

Just read a lovely tweet from someone who does not appear to be a mad Jalionista who said that Jay was all kinds of excellent!

ETA actually may be a mad Jalionista but still a lovely tweet

I checked on the BBC Strictly youtube channel the most popular videos and for my utter surprise the Jive was nowhere to be seen - like it never existed on the youtube page.
I first panic and planned to ask if any of you can still see it because I just couldn't imagine what could have happened.

Then I remembered that it was geo blocked. To be honest, I thought the geo- blocked videos only display that message - the video cannot be played in your territory, because I've had those messages, but I can still see the video is there.
However with the Jaliona Jive - if you try to access it from abroad - there is no trace of evidence that it has ever been on the BBC Strictly.

I remember when Aliona made her rant on twitter over the same video and people said she was over-reacting. Honestly, I was ready to over react over this! I was fuming! Honestly this specific dance looks like it was never ever been published.

I think we should write to the BBC, they must have "forgotten" to un geo block it surely.
What's the logic to keep it blocked anyway over a year after it was aired?!?

Luckily I can see it now again, finally. Still slightly fuming though.”

You need the link to find the jive - and even then you'll get the message it's not available in the country you're accessing youtube from. You can't even find if you use the search.

The whole movie week playlist doesn't show up - at least last time I tried.

For anyone (like me) not on twitter, DeiseDays has retweeted a whole host of positive tweets about Big. It just confirms that it is going down really well

Just came that clip of the Cross the Line recording. Interesting. Jay's voice sounds much nicer than Diana's on the recording - she sounds rather strident, whereas his sounds smooth and easy on the ear. But I imagine that in the theatre it would lean the other way as she has a louder voice and he would have to strain his more.

Morning all

TT - I thought she was a bit shouty in the theatre to be honest. The microphones they use now in theatres are so good, I don't think there is the need to project in the way there used to be and I thought she could have taken it down a notch.

Looking at Twitter, I think Polly enjoyed herself yesterday!
Looking forward to reading her report.

Have a good day

The picture of Jay with Emma(TW) well the lad behind them is the spitting image of the tall lad who Jay danced with on the Shut up and Dance video. Is it my imagination?

I said D's voice was strident - too shrill for me - and the song can't have been in too high a key, but with other songs she'd maybe be more mellow and in the ensemble she'd be okay.
