jnb's post related to a specific exchange earlier today with a couple of forum members which has since been deleted. It wasn't a dig at you or anyone else.

this is not the first which has deliberately indicated it is only intended to include certain forum members in its good wishes, feelings of camaraderie etc.

I haven't been 'corresponding' (for want if a better word) with jnb but didn't feel offended/excluded/whatever by her comment(s), so could everyone please just let it go.
If you don't like someone's posts put them on ignore and leave it at that.

Unlike some, I have no desire to put anybody on ignore (except thread crashers). I like to see enthusiasm and comment about J from all.

I think it's fair to say that most people posting here do so because they loved watching Jay and Aliona dance together, miss them dreadfully, but are now either engaged in supporting Jay in his wonderful new musical theatre career, which he has worked so hard for, or still very interested in Strictly and enjoy discussing the ups and downs of this series, maybe wishing we could have our favourite couple back to show them how it should be done.

From my own point of view it has been a wonderful place to escape to and forget those challenges in real life that sometimes floor us, sometimes seem impossible to surmount, and sometimes just make you want to scream 'why'? But watching Jay in particular has been an inspiration, he's a stoical, engaging, hardworking and thoroughly likeable guy and I've found myself more than once this year thinking how he'd react to something that's happened. And it would be with courage, humour and great consideration for his fellow human beings. Not a bad example to follow.

Perhaps this is a good time to remind everyone that this is an appreciation thread for Jay and Aliona and not a thread about posters. I am posting this video as a reminder that Jay appreciates ALL fans of his, whether they are loud and screaming look at me, or quiet - he treats them ALL with due respect. There are no superfans, just fans, just because someone shouts loudly doesn't make them any more relevant than someone who admires from a distance.

I couldn't agree with you more, BB. Jay is a wholly positive influence and has an affirmative effect on most perceptive people. Wouldn't the world be a wonderful place if everyone was more like him?

That is not the way it has been treated by some. Personally, I haven't really minded when people chose to share their personal problems when having a particularly bad time. I did, however, mind when months of sympathy, support and good feeling were suddenly completely forgotten. I mind when comments are addressed to "you know who you are". Include everyone or no one.

I watched Peter Pan today and believe it or not thought about Jay and Aliona. There was something Peter-Wendy-like in their relationship, I find.

So happy the Jaliona Charleston won. Well of course it did - Jalionistas always deliver.

Made me remember the posts last year about the Tardis sighting and thinking "no way will they have a Doctor Who theme". Lo and behold they did and it was amazing. had to go back and watch again today. Yep it was as good as I remember.

Sorry to hear about the possible redundancy jnb. Just hope 2017 is a vast improvement on this year.

It's a sobering thought that someone so young can prove to be such an inspiration! I'm delighted at the way he treats people with such respect and consideration - pretty much everybody who comes into contact with him seems to leave with a smile, saying what a great guy he is, and that's saying something when you see how some so-called 'celebs' behave. I'm sure it must grate from time to time, and he's surely had his less than memorable moments, but he doesn't let it show and exhibited great grace under fire last year.

So yes, I try to follow his example, the bones may creak a bit, but you're never too old to learn!

This is the first time this year I've cared enough to feel foot-stampy. Some horrible fudgely manipulation going on. I hope the public gets behind Cloudier and gives the stoopids a real headache.
