So let me get this straight two cliftons in the final.. I knew producers really wanted a Clifton win last year but that didn't turn out as expected so I actually knew there was a extremely high probability that a Clifton was going to win it this year so very very predictable. Anyways good luck to them and for those of you watching it.

And if Will Young partnered by Karen Clifton, hadn't decided to do a runner earlier in the competition, they would have tried for an all Clifton final

More tweets from theatre-goers in praise of Big and Jay and Diana. Another standing ovation. Wish them well for press night tonight - go for it Jay, you really are wonderful as Josh
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Frankly, couldn't give a damn about Fixly Come Dancing this year - have no interest whatsoever in any of the finalists.

Hi Defer, yes I will be at a party this Saturday, so wont be watching, wouldn't have watched it anyway, disgusted after Saturday, Just caught up and watched ITT from last night, cried for them both, AJ said their quickstep would have won any dancing competion,am inclined to agree with him. It was the best dance of the night, IMO the judges knew the only way to oust Claudia, was to pitch her against Danny, and that's what happened, by scoring Ore high to keep him out of the dance off. Unfortunatly only TPTB and judges favourites will win this commpetion, So glad J had Aliona last year, to steer him through, and TGBP got behind them, and as they say the rest is history,
Unfortunatly,it wasn't enough for Cloudia and AJ.will AJ be back next year,? I hope so, if he can think of it as entertainment, which in turn creates controversy, and not a commpetion. Also will vote for Danny, on Saturday, hope he wins.

It looks like there is a lot of similar thinking on the thread!

Like Jayfan, I thought to myself this morning how much flatter the series seems this year - I can't imagine anything on ITT this week matching up to items last year like Ali sitting on Jay's shoulders bopping along to Kim Wilde or Jay, Aliona, Katie and Anton in their joint interview.

On Saturday, I would like Danny to win largely because is the only one of the final three who had grown on me over the series - he and Oti have produced some great dances (especially the QS, and Charleston) and he seems like a nice guy (I thought him comments about Claudia in the end of show round up did show some real humility). My opinion of Ore has declined over the series and my opinion of Louise (I keep mis-typing that as Lousie - I think it must be freudian!) hasn't changed from okay, much like her performances.

Now that the judges have got rid of Claudia via the medium of marking, I'm team 'anyone but Clifton'.

PS - Claudia and AJ's final ITT interview was lovely and AJ made a point of saying that Claudia's QS was competition standard.

ETA - snap Drizzle!

I think they have mostly been down-played, so it is more to make the contest seem even..

I thought Laura and Giovanni did well, and were unlucky with the injury.

It would renew my interest in Strictly if it was run as a real learning-to-dance show, with the pairings having a lot of control and the producers and judges did their best to make it a fair contest.

Re the judges, Last year Bruno and Darcy were more the voice of reason, and both seemed to " get " Jay to a certain extent, but this year Bruno has been, well not sure really, he must have been on something, away with the fairies. Darcy has really shocked me. Her ridiculous over marking and praising of Ore ( maybe it's to do with the fact that they work together ) and the way she has been so down on Claudia, it has surprised me.
Len has been Len, making it known who are his favourites, glad he is going perhaps he ought to take Darcey and Bruno with him. The only voice of reason, was shockingly, Craig. Most of the time he has marked sensibly, apart from when he has had to tow the party line.

Glad J and A danced last year. Think, if he were able, Jay would be voting for Danny and Oti.

Hi Janetshep, great minds ,and all that, think exactly the same, regarding Louise, Ore, I expect it will be all about sibling rivalry. This weekend ,the papers will be full of it,all to boost votes.

Woo-hoo! Well done to the Royal Mail. One CD plonked through the letterbox about twenty minutes ago. Just finished lunch, so now off to record a copy for the car as well as having a quick listen to 'Little Susan Lawrence, Stars, and Cross the line before I have to go out.

Hmmm. I know Darcey has come in for a lot of flak this year, but actually I have agreed with a lot of what she said EXCEPT with regard to Ore who appears to be her pet (but then again, he seems to be the pet of all the judges, so there's no particularly huge reason to call her out on this).

I really wish Ed Balls was still in - would have loved him to win. At first I was just thinking it would be a joke, but later, my support became genuine. I know there would have been some toys thrown out of prams and "he is not the best dancer" etc. etc. But there was something of the spirit of Strictly about him that I really enjoyed, and Katya was wonderful. Really hope she comes back next year, even if that does mean having her irritating husband into the bargain.

I'm pretty sure all 3 of them are going to be dancing all 3 dances this year, so the final is only going to be only 2 dances shorter than it would have been.

There should be a lot of good dancing in the final - whether any of it will be inspired or inspiring we have yet to see. I love Oti, so from that perspective, hope she gets it, but there will be no heart-pounding moment at the end!

I'll second that! Mine's arrived today too. Just going to put it on now.

Press night tonight, so here's to the whole cast absolutely smashing it and more standing ovations!

OH MY GOD. I've just listened to 'I want to go home'. I'm in tears. It's a lost child singing, I can't believe it's Jay of The Wanted. His voice is sublime, gentle, sweet, pitch perfect and hitting the high notes spot on. His accent is absolutely spot on too.
Whoever said that Nathan was the one with the voice in the group was wrong, wrong, wrongitty wrong. This man is A Star.

Now I've listened to the US version many times, and the singing's much more full on from everybody - even a bit shouty if you like, but this, this is exquisite. Several have said Jay's voice isn't as strong as Diana's. Well, I'm saying, forget that, this man is singing in the voice of a bewildered twelve year old who doesn't know what the hell's happening to him. This is astoundingly brilliant. I can't enthuse enough. I'm a theatre nut, show me a show and I'll be there. I haven't been this moved since Les Mis, no, I'm moved more than Les Mis because I had no idea that this man could come up with something so delicate, gentle, laden with longing.

I'll tell you now that I had tickets for the (first) opening night last week, and managed to switch them to the actual opening night. We had a box. Perfect seats. Then I slipped a disc in my back and it was all off. But you can absolutely sure I'll be there on the first night in the West End. I don't want to miss a second of this show.

And if any of those critics there tonight fail to get what I've just got, I'll have to kill them.

Love your excited, emotional and enthusiastic response, BB. Would that everyone sees what we see in Jay.

*

Don't sigh, lost angel,
As day turns to night.
Don't cry, lonely angel,
As the stars begin to light.

Is your heart broken, my angel,
For the love you left behind?
Is your heart yearning, dear angel,
For the love you need to find?

You will find it, lost angel;
You will find it again.
Keep searching, oh angel,
And love will banish your pain.

I'm really not exagerrating at all and wish you could hear it. Absolutely amazing, he sings as he dances, with every molecule of his being, as you do when you write.

Know that feeling!
But, even thoughh I have seen Big once, I have decided to wait until after Dublin to get the CD because I want to hear it live and unfamiliar again. My musical memory is not great so I can't remember now what a lot of the songs sounded like and I want that surprise again!
