Kate seems to think it's just a few tweaks in the production numbers and Jay said in an interview that they'd ironed out a few things after Plymouth, which you'd expect in a new show of this complexity.
Looking at YT this morning certainly confirms that Diana has a great voice and a good range. She seems equally at home singing softly - as she does at times in BIG - as she does in the big production numbers. So to me it looks like she is indeed singing very much in character throughout BIG, as is Jay. And listening to the CD, they're both dealing beautifully with the changing feelings of the characters they portray. Acting in song. I think it's brilliant and am very happy that they're building great chemistry together.
Roll on the West End!
TBird Quite agree with everything you say.
