Next, look South-East and see if you can find Orion, the red blinking star at the top is Betelguese, a red supergiant that one day will run out of fuel and explode in a massive supernova explosion.

I like stars and space and taking it on-topic J likes space too

Now ladies I am sure there's an answer

I'm sure that J will be gratetful

The Empress can swaddle his fine neck
With the finest and softest of thread
All the better to keep any more chills

Young Korky can sit on his warm lap
And then gently purring away
Will help to smooth relaxation
From the BIG performance today

I concur with your fine Whiffleplan
and will snuggle around his neck
But a cat on the lap of a man
With those sharp little claws? Oooh 'eck!

Too late, for we'll be dining
Alone tonight chez Jay
It's tuna bake to share
Served on a silver tray
And then we will retire
To his warm and cosy bed
With him under his duvet
And me upon his head

Don't worry Jay
When your tummy starts a rumbling
'Cos it's running on empty
As tuna bake is not to your taste
You can nip round to mine
For some tofu and wine

A good idea is this, Whiffle
But I've had a different thought
And that is to wrap his scarf
Round both of us nice and taut.
It's so icy cold tonight
And it's warmer to cuddle up tight
So BB's come to the rescue
And helped us in our plight!

Think I found it but blimey it's cold out there tonight

ETA think I've found Aldebaran as well ( found a star map on phone ) but it really is too cold out there. Plus my neighbours will think me more eccentric than they probably already do

I'll have you know that tuna
Is Jay's favourite fish
And it also happens to be
My chosen best-loved dish
So you can eat your tofu
And wash it down with wine
For I'm caring for his nourishment
And your help I must decline

Um...how do I break this to you
Jay doesn't eat fish
He doesn't believe you should eat living creatures
Sorry, but one of his favourites
Is scrambled tofu

Have you ever watched the Space Station go over? It's always such a weird feeling seeing it and knowing that real astronauts are on board.

I've wanted to (especially every year after watching Stargazing Live ) but have not managed to find out how you know when & where to look. Well, I did look online but couldn't really make head nor tail of it!!

I'm sure if Jay is reading this he will love learning about space

You will be able to see the space station again in February. If you use twitter the best one is Virtual Astro, he gives countdown alerts to when you should be looking.

https://twitter.com/VirtualAstro

He also runs a website which gives lots of tips of how to see it and astronomy in general.

http://www.meteorwatch.org/space-sta...html#more-6685

And finally, this is really cool, Nasa have a live feed running from the ISS on YT now, so you can see Earth from space.

Happy stargazing

There are a number of tweets saying Jay wasn't in Big tonight

Get well soon Jay.

Yes, hope he's OK. It's been a bit of a punishing schedule for him, really. He has a lot of stage time, a lot of singing and a lot of dancing and bouncing around!

If you're reading this Jay - you do it really, really well. Look after yourself ...

It seems to be a very nasty and persistent bug, loads of people here floored by it. Here's wishing you better soon, Jay.

Oh dear, poor Jay! I'm not surprised though... Presumably Gregor went on?
CatO9Tales

Assume so. Matt Holland, the swing, was definitely on and he would have covered for Gregor, who would have covered for Jay.

Yes, I expect so and I'm sure he'll get a great reception for standing in at the last minute - these things can't be helped and it will mitigate people's disappointment in missing Jay to see a great show performed well.

It's been such a full-on run for Jay, here's hoping he can head for the sun after Sunday and get a decent rest before everything gears up for the West End run.

I really hope Jay isn't suffering. I know that the whole cast is superb and the show will still be enjoyed and enthused about.

Apart from Jay's illness, of course, it's been great fun on here tonight. I hope more will join in even with four lines each!

Just popping in before heading to bed. I appreciate everyone's good wishes - things aren't looking great here, but we'll just have to wait and see. He's unconscious, there's a chance that he'll wake up and make a good recovery but not a huge chance.

Sending best wishes to Jay for a speedy recovery.
