Just popping in before heading to bed. I appreciate everyone's good wishes - things aren't looking great here, but we'll just have to wait and see. He's unconscious, there's a chance that he'll wake up and make a good recovery but not a huge chance.

Sending best wishes to Jay for a speedy recovery.
My best wishes go to your father and you and also to Jay when he looks in tonight.

Hope is in our minds
Hope is in our hearts
Hope is what we find

Dear Arnostae, so sorry to hear your father is unwell. Sending best wishes to you and your family and I really hope your father shows signs of improving soon. Look after yourselves.

Wishing a speedy recovery to Jay too-he has managed a gruelling schedule so well. A couple of days complete rest willl hopefully make the world of difference. Hope he feels better very soon.

Sending you and your Dad good wishes Arnostae. I hope there is some improvement soon. X

Poor Jay, he finally succumbed after working so hard to continue. Wishing him a speedy recovery so that he can get back to performing the last few shows.

Don't worry Jay
When your tummy starts a rumbling
'Cos it's running on empty
As tuna bake is not to your taste
You can nip round to mine
For some tofu and wine
Sorry to hear Jay is unwell, and wish him a quick recovery. The Show depends on him, and that is part of his new life - having a lot of people depending on him.

Korky and Lola are working on him though!

Still thinking of you, Arnostae.

Sounds like Gregor did Jay proud last night, and although of course it's not an ideal situation, it has given him a chance to shine too. And we know who will be the first to congratulate him.

Wishing you well soon, Jay, try as we might. these nasty bugs are difficult to dodge at this time of year, and you've done brilliantly to keep turning in outstanding performances. Here's to a storming return to the stage, and to the West End next year!

Reverie

Tangled thoughts unravel
As waking from a dream
No more second guessing
As they form into a theme

Distant recollections
Begin to take on shape
Concentration's needed
Before the words escape

Dredging from the memory
Scenes in misty tableaux
The pen's the only weapon
To use against the foe

As the milieu untangles
Words again wound your heart
But be thankful that his last gift
Was a remembrance to write about

Very sweet of you, BB. I'd had an irresistible daytime nap (unheard of) with a "funny" throat and must have been borderline delirious! No outside comments please!!

Arnostae thinking of you & your family. Hope you get good news soon.

Poor J finally succumbing to his lurgy after trying to soldier on through it. Hopefully he'll get some rest & throw it off quickly..

Too late, for we'll be dining
Alone tonight chez Jay
It's tuna bake to share
Served on a silver tray
And then we will retire
To his warm and cosy bed
With him under his duvet
And me upon his head
A cat as a hat!
Will J smile at that?
A cat as a scarf
I think he might laugh
But a cat who can make
A hot pasta bake
Can blissfully nap
On his comfy warm lap

I'm sure if Jay is reading this he will love learning about space

You will be able to see the space station again in February. If you use twitter the best one is Virtual Astro, he gives countdown alerts to when you should be looking.

https://twitter.com/VirtualAstro

He also runs a website which gives lots of tips of how to see it and astronomy in general.

http://www.meteorwatch.org/space-sta...html#more-6685

And finally, this is really cool, Nasa have a live feed running from the ISS on YT now, so you can see Earth from space.

https://youtu.be/qzMQza8xZCc

Happy stargazing
Thank you for the links Lola. I'm not on twitter but the website looks really good & the live feed is definitely cool (already in my favourites.)

Oh that I would love!
We'd fit hand in glove
And I'd keep his throat warm
Till he's weathered the storm
Of his pesky infection
With my feline affection,
And then when he's well
He'll sing clear as a bell
