Dear Arnostae, so sorry to hear your father is unwell. Sending best wishes to you and your family and I really hope your father shows signs of improving soon. Look after yourselves.

Wishing a speedy recovery to Jay too-he has managed a gruelling schedule so well. A couple of days complete rest willl hopefully make the world of difference. Hope he feels better very soon.
Thinking of you Arnostae ((hugs))

Gregor seems to have done a v good job

Mmm - I've had laryngitis a few times & it's not much fun:🤒( Still it looks like he's getting well looked after 💊💊
Thinking of you Arnostae at this time and sending you, your Dad and family best wishes.💕🍀
Get Well soon Jay 🍀 better to take a break 😴and recover properly- looks like all the necessary medications and remedies have been prescribed💊🍋🥃😴
It looks as if he's had everything that might help - and it seems to be working
(Meant everything medical Korky!)

Nice tweet from Gregor saying they are missing Jay.
It's a happy company and that's what's helping make the show so special. I'm glad Gregor's doing so well.....
Big does seem to be such a happy company - from what I've read, the happiness comes across in the performances

Aliona and Vincent back in London. Aliona still looking slim - at least from in front!
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C1MGK_BWgAI4KIi.jpg
Aliona does look well

.... But the way I see it, yes of course I will be sad if he is unable to appear on Saturday but hey I haven't been to Dublin for years, I'm staying in a very nice looking hotel, I'm going to do touristy things and Gregor seems to be doing a fine job as Big Josh so I will be seeing a wonderful show. And it gives me a genuine excuse to see it again if it does go to London with Jay.
So, if you are reading this Jay, don't worry about appearing when you are not ready, you need to get properly well again otherwise Korky will be round to force feed tuna bake to you
Ahh, well put

I promise I will cook whatever he fancies because I'm a firm believer in listening to and obeying your body. If he wants boiled eggy and soldiers then that's what he'll have, and I'll feed him very slowly... 💕
Am sure I've read that J eats eggs??

Is that a pot of Vic I see on the table?
Brava, Korky!
It was touch and go at times. (I'd touch and he'd go... )
It is indeed, BB! The old remedies are the best!
Made me smile

It's the right colour, so maybe......
Good to see that J is well enough to go back.)
Glad he's feeling better - whether just to visit or for a performance

Hope all who are going this weekend have a good time

ETA BB an alpaca?? Will it fit??

.....Talking of which has anyone got the job of Vick rubber-in (or is it rub-inner? )
If not, I apply immediately
Probably all that Vic. And cat fur.
Is that a pot of Vic I see on the table?
Brava, Korky!
Have just realised the significance of CatO9Tales' 'Errrm....'
relating to the Vic
and the tongue in cheek

Can be v slow witted sometimes
(always wanted to use the roll eyes Smilie - managed to use it on myself )

Every review I've read has praised J
and all have liked the cast
It all sounds great.

Morning everyone

If anyone is going to Dublin and wants to meet up/keep in touch over the weekend, please PM me and we can exchange phone numbers.

I was also thinking I might set up a What's App group if there is not one already?

Anyway, hope Jay's recovery continues.

Have a good day.

How can you tell that my family were all busy last night and that I've a day off work today - have had time to post lots

Am off out now - some time to myself for a change

But before I go - from a veggie friend - two quick and easy ideas for J

1 if not having milk, make porridge with coconut water (the water, not the milk) - coconut water has lots of nutrious things

2 drain tin of chickpeas, put in shallow baking tray with just enough olive oil (or similar nice oil) to cover the bottom, put in chickpeas and roll with flat of hand to spread them out evenly and cover with thin coating of oil, bake for 10 mins or so in oven at about 180° until a bit crisp, but not burnt .
Can put them in oven with something else - like a pizza - but shorter time if hot oven, longer if oven bit cooler.
Put crisp chickpeas in bowl and mix with bit of paprika or similar. Can eat them hot, or let them cool and eat like crisps or nuts. Will keep in fridge a couple of days
Can use crisp chickpeas in cooking, say in a curriy - but bake them a bit longer to make them a bit crisper

Have a great time in Dublin all who are going

Hi All,

So excited for Dublin now - just having my hair done in preparation!
A What's App group is a great idea Jayfan. I'll pm you my number shortly - I'll be arriving late tomorrow night.

And to commemorate another fun weekend of Jaliona japery I have the final instalment of 'Falling Slowly' for your perusal. It's taken a while and is, in the main 46,000 words of silliness - but i did it - I finished it! It may not win any prizes but I feel a certain sense of achievement having stuck with it.

Oh boy, that's good. A very, very good read indeed. You kept me guessing right until the very last paragraph. I won't say any more here because I don't want to spoil it for others, but it really is a great story, very well told. More, please!

And now there's two stars in the family - you and little Miss Ahouch!

Have a great time in Dublin, you've earned it.

Yes, amazing what a fluffy feline, a bit of poetry, a pot of Vic and some Inspiration can do for a man!

Safe journeys for all travelling to Dublin tomorrow

I have an advert on this page saying that Jersey Boys finishes at the end of March. Is something else going in the Piccadilly Theatre or is it available for Big?

Thanks BB. Glad you enjoyed it!

I think I'll stick to some shorter stories and simple anecdotes for a little while - I found completing something that long quite difficult. First on the list I expect will be a little something about 'Big'!

I don't know if that was one of the theatres that would big enough to house it or not. Perhaps someone else can remember?

The ads you get on here are more interesting than mine - I had something about rainy day laundry!

Now Jay he was ill
And not feeling his best
So Korky decided
To rub Vick on his chest

She took off the lid
From the small pot of blue
And hoped that the remedy
Would help pull him through

She undid his shirt
And laid his chest bare
Just pausing to admire it
While she was there

She extracted some balm
Onto her deft fingers
As her nose was assaulted
By that aroma which lingers

Still, she applied it
In circular motion
And smoothed it all in
With such utter devotion

Jay was so poorly
In fact he felt lousy
And the effect of the massage
Was making him drowsy

So in a trice
He was fast asleep
Out just like that
No need to count sheep

When he awoke
A miracle occurred
For he felt so much better
And into action was spurred

He rose from his sick bed
And posed for a snapshot
For the Vick vapour rub
Had hit just the spot

So if you are ill
And want to get well
Rub Vick on your chest
And the bugs you'll repel

Absolutely.

But there's something to add to all that,
The special ingredient is Korky The Cat!

Hey Ahouch!

Well Well Done! Finally got time to sit down properly and finish your novel.
I feel I should be getting your autograph on Saturday when we meet.
Loved it and keep up the writing.
See you, and all the rest of the travelling Jalionistas (I'm afraid I will leave out someone if i start naming people)

Oh yes please, really looking forward to that! And you're absolutely right about how challenging it is to hold the reader's interest in a long story, but you did it brilliantly.

Have a great time - I'm just thinking how lovely it would be to be there while Jay and Diana are singing 'Stars' , it's my favourite song in the show. But I guess I'll have to wait for the West End for that one!

I wondered that too, and then thought, 'Oh good, the Regent Palace Hotel's right next door'. Except it isn't an hotel any more....!

The tickets are being advertised for 31st March through the end of September, so my guess is it could be. Hopefully we'll know before long. It will be lovely to be going to the theatre on a summer's night - I used to love walking around London afterwards, much better than scrabbling for a cab. But first, I think Jay deserves a break somewhere warm. And scarf-free.....

I see Maureen's on her way to supervise proceedings! Can't keep a good mum down....
