Just adding my good wishes to everyone going to see Big this weekend, whether you have been before or this is the first time. I know you will all have the best time!

Can't wait to hear about it - it seems such a long time ago now that I saw it, and I really wish I could go again.

Have a great time, all, in Dublin. RL got in the way of the trip for me, in the end but I'm very happy to have seen Big in Plymouth and will do the West End if it makes it there.

I think Jay and the rest of the cast will have a blast on Saturday, although it will have a tinge of sadness in it for them. Think they have really gelled and have seen a couple of rueful tweets about the impending end of the Dublin run, already.

Loved the fact that the Instagram pic of his return yesterday had so many likes from the kids (including Plymkids) and others in the cast. The Jay magic dust has sprinkled all around .....

Have a good time everyone travelling to Dublin. ✈️👏

Sorry I can't make it this time.☹️

Unfortunately Ahouch, Falling Slowly doesn't open for me. 😟

Safe travels. Good cheering.....eating.....drinking......missed anything? 😱😱💕
Hi danceagogo It's a shame you can't make it. We'll try our best to 'fill the breach'!

Sorry you can't open 'Falling Slowly'. I thought using google share had sorted out any access problems. Anyone else have any issues with opening it or any idea why it may not work for some?

BTW Polly and Janetshep, thanks for taking the time to read it. I'm glad you enjoyed it - the positive feedback is much appreciated!

Jay stalking.
Or in jayfan's case (remembering Wimbledon, Plymouth and Edinburgh!) - Damien, Vin and Aliona stalking as well.

Have a brilliant time everyone. Really sorry I won't be with you in the flesh, but will be with you in spirit, and if you hear someone singing out of tune - it's me. I'm going to try and play the CD at the same time as the performances though it might not work for the matinee as son is coming to put his Christmas decorations back in the loft possibly Saturday afternoon. (Hopefully by next Christmas he'll have his own house and loft. )

Look forward to all the reports.

Hi all, WiFi very temperamental so hope this posts!

Safe trip to Dublin for the lucky ones going. May Mr McG be in good voice and dancing as sublimely as usual.

Take care and hugs to all. Will try to catch up when home.

ahouch - well done! Quite apart from the story/writing aspect, succeeding in writng a full length story must be quite hard work, if satisfying!

Sherlock PANTS. Sorry for shouting, but am with Dfer on this. I loved the first series, thought they married the two centuries perfectly (so much so that I kept forgetting which one it was set in). Liked the second, started to get irritated by the third, not sure if I'll watch next episodes of this one. Probably will, just to give it a chance. But if you want to do something so out of step with the ethos of the originals, have the grace and discipline to think of your own characters. Felt like that about Witness for the Prosecution - good until the last half hour, then a load of pretentious self indulgent twaddle. The beauty of the original story is that it ends where it does, so simply (no spoiler, those who've read it know what I mean even if they disagree with me) Sorry, I will rant no more.

Scarves, hats - such fun pomes from all. For decent cat-hat though, you need the MaineCoon(ish) Davy Crocket version! I find alpacas have very sharp hooves so am sticking with cashmere.

Unguent rubbing - Korky, I think you ought to let nelliek have a go from time to time, if only to stop your claws from getting too soft. And by the way, all, that little blue pot (if not Boots' own brand), is of VICKS, no apostrophe, don't know why. (pedants of the world unite)

and finally -

All of you going to Dublin - have a wonderful time. I'm not in the least bit jealous, honestly (stalks of to finish boiling the lemon marmalade)

Isih - I am a British Bi-colour Shorthair and I am assured that all heads I've encountered adore my warming embrace...

My firm but gentle application of Vicks to Jay's chest was most efficacious. Need I say more?

Probably not as funny as the Davy Crockett effect, though

Oh yes, 'twas not the efficacy I was worried about, it was the need to keep your claws in good nick for next time. Also, cats not renowned for sharing, I know, but nelliek did ask very nicely!

If I am indisposed Nellie is very welcome to give his chest a quick rub but he does like my touch... 🐾🐾

To all Dublin bound joyous Jalionistas - have a wonderful time. Can hardly wait to hear about it.

Isih. I do so agree with you about Sherlock. The first two series quite brilliantly brought the stories into the modern day without losing sight of the original. Now it seems as if Messrs Gatiss and Moffett have become intoxicated with their own cleverness like a pair of precocious schoolboys. Any day now i expect them to disappear up their own fundaments like the famed oozlum bird.

ETA. Love the alternative titles for the show.
