Me too. 💕

I invested in a Kindle a couple of years ago, but real books win every time for me, and I could never give up on them.

Remind me, when is the BIG first night??

ETA Found it 5 Nov....maybe it's the fact it's Guy Fawkes that's slowed things up? Dates after that look good, considering there's not a huge lot of publicity surrounding it, as far as I know, anyway.....”

BIB:Ha ha! We got a bit of both today . I've seen him a handful of times, but always with just ground tickets, lots of standing, nice firemen and some blagging . Not keen on hours of standing these days and the good blagging loophole has been closed off now, so doubt I'll ever sit on Centre Court again .

You could be right about Guy Fawkes night. If you were thinking of taking your kids, you'd probably choose a different night 💥☄🎇🚀✨. Maybe peeps less invested in Jay might also think the first night might not run entirely smoothly and later in the week might be a better bet??

jayfan - would love to know what was in his shopping basket 📚

Certainly do. Hate shopping, love book shops.

Forgot to post his picture but I've added it now. The books listed are on the shelves.

He's clearly trying to emulate Albert Einstein ... in a relative way of course ...

Jay does have someone very special in Aliona. From what he said at various points during Strictly, I think with her he felt able to talk freely about anything and everything, and that will have meant an awful lot to him and probably boosted his confidence enormously. And she's still there.

I was just thinking, I haven't read anything anywhere about anyone not liking Jay, and that's a measure of the man - I wish him happiness, with whoever he chooses to give his heart to, they'll be very lucky indeed.

jnb
Even though he's in pain it is encouraging news about Becks, and hopefully things start to heal soon.

Korky
I can't find any other duets with Jay & Mette other than One Sweet Day, can you remember where you saw it?

No, I think I was just stuck down the Jayrabbithole one day and came across it, but it was a few months ago.

As I said, I'm not going to do a review of the Final as the whole evening gave me no pleasure at all (except for the opening group dance and winner's announcement).

Instead, I set myself my own homework - Jay's journey.

The aim was to capture the 'spirit' of each of J's dances (or at least, how I saw them) in 3 or 4 screencaps.

Some dances I wasn't able to get down to 4 or even 5 (*cough* Tango *cough* Charleston *cough*), but I whittled it down as far as I could. I even endured watching the QS to get a couple of caps of that, so it was a real labour of love there!

I also added some memorable moments from VTs or ITT. It so happened that it came out as an even 100 photos, so I'm going to take credit for that being my intention in the first place! Clever Toad!

The whole thing is in chronological order

Worth seeing, but oh boy you need a strong heart!! Not for the faint-hearted!!

Saw him being beaten, against the seedings, by Roddick Wimbledon 2009 semi-finals. Despair.

Then the 2 Davis Cup matches against USA and France last year 🎾🎾🎾. Joy.

Never a dull moment.......😅, but you do need nerves of steel.

Hope that knee's improving.

Wonderful TT, there's some gorgeous shots in there, and it tells the story so well. There's one shot near the end that is absolutely heartbreaking - I think while they were waiting for the final results. What a rollercoaster ride it was, but worth every minute!

I'll enjoy going through them slowly - there's so much to take in. Thank you!

It's all an attitude of mind, Hannah. If you've succeeded once - and you have - you can do so again.

All poets and bards- great contributions today

Lindy- hope knees progressing well

Jnb- hope the situation with Becks is a positive step forward

Think you've hit the nail on the head Lola, many of us are in one way or another - we might not be outright rebels but we tend to 'go our own way' a bit.

BB agree, I've never read anyone say they didn't like J. He's lucky that he has a loving family and is so close to his twin - seems to have a lot of relatives too . He seems to keep his friends a long time. Have said before - it strikes me that no-one breaks his trust.
He's made new good friends too through Strictly, especially A and V. Hsve read that the celebrities all keep in touch. Jason G said how close the 2015 group were.

Been wondering about the cast of Big. Maybe the PTB will have to cast tallish people as his mother and as Billy, as J is tall?

Gosh, TT, that's amazing - will gave a good look!

jnb everything crossed xx

Review help?
Anyway, please could I have some help this Friday to post the Review? Will be very busy all Friday so will post the Review late Thursday evening or first thing Friday.

Would anyone be kind enough to re-post it around 7.00 pm on Friday?

It would best to quote the whole post - especially as this one will already have several links to previous posts anyway.

Lovely screen caps to take us through the whole period of J&A's time in Strictly.

Quoting myself as I can't edit it now.

France should have said Australia.

Not that it'll matter to anybody, but I can't stand inaccuracies and I know it's wrong😂😂

Hello everyone. I've been missing for a long time due to having two long spells away from home with only my phone and no laptop. I followed everything on my phone but, sorry, I can't post on it.

I have absolutely loved all the reviews and poetry and have laughed and cried ! You ladies are so clever and I only wish I could write like you all. Unfortunately, I can't so I will just continue reading all your wonderful posts and join in occasionally.

Very best wishes to everyone.

Goodness me, part 6 and it's already moving at a pace! Well done everyone 👏
I thought it was odd when I checked in to see nobody had posted since yesterday. Then the penny dropped that there must be a part 6 and I've found you all again. Phew!
Fred.

We've had some absolutely heartfelt, wonderful and all round brilliant Reviews, but please everyone, don't feel yours has to be long or detailed too .

Don't worry jackybob - if you are pushed for time or a bit unsure, just do a short Review.

Here's mine for the Red Paso .

I love, love love the Red Paso and how J and A absolutely threw themselves into it.😍 (Wish the singing was better though). Love the little extras - the smiles, touching the heart to fit the words. J's raised hand at the end whilst spinning is an amazing finish - and how he kept his balance I don't know.

PS danceagogo - definitely agree

Just catching up so apologies for the longish post – I've not quoted to save space.

Congrats Jayfan on your win. If you haven't already decided I would suggest to try & chose your two favourite moments, difficult I know!

Fab reviews from everyone ( And I would like to add my thanks to Fred for the sterling work on homework links)

• Cat09Tails love the Phwoar Thud look & aunt Agathas' tablecloth.

•Fatskia lovely words "Jay and Aliona didn’t need to win for themselves, but people felt their relationship and were moved by their dancing – and that is special and rare – so they made them the winners." ( by the way I tend to read your name as Fatsia like the plant – I have one in my front garden)

•Ahouch very evocative & creative

StrictlyRed – congrats on 10,000 posts here's to the next 10k!

Lovely to have you back Celloplayer – glad to hear your second op was a success

I'm in awe of all the bards Korky DD & Raffertys lovely epic. Hannah love your limerick a fantastic first attempt – this is for you! (You may recognise it!)

Lola love the red lighting theory

Isih Don't know if anyone else has suggested this but you could save the Jayjobs as a word document in Dropbox then post a link here to save space?

TT your Jay's journey in pictures is amazing & requires further( lengthy) study

Jnb everything still crossed for you & Becks.

And I'm glad you like the J on a train questions

ETA Fred I can re-post homework links for you.
