Hello everyone. I've been missing for a long time due to having two long spells away from home with only my phone and no laptop. I followed everything on my phone but, sorry, I can't post on it.

I have absolutely loved all the reviews and poetry and have laughed and cried ! You ladies are so clever and I only wish I could write like you all. Unfortunately, I can't so I will just continue reading all your wonderful posts and join in occasionally.

Very best wishes to everyone.
Lovely to see you back. Hope everything is OK.

Welcome back Jackybob
Hope you are feeling better Kazzie- think you've been poorly?
Great work with the #Jayonatrain questions Whiffle
Tremendous work on the poetry compilations DD

Have chosen my gifs- 2 from the waltz In the end. For me though, that dance was the beginning of the obsession....

Each picture does have a title which identifies the moment - not sure if you can see them on mobile devices
Think you misunderstood me - I can see facial expressions suitable to the dance - why couldn't the frozen face fudge!

TT - just WONDERFUL ! I recognised every shot and you had many of my favourite moments

All poets and bards- great contributions today

Soupey- your geographical knowledge is impressive. Isih- is there a jayjob that would benefit from it?

Lindy- hope knees progressing well

Jnb- hope the situation with Becks is a positive step forward
I've not reach T for Travel yet - but have I missed something? Where is soupy?

Just catching up so apologies for the longish post – I've not quoted to save space.

Congrats Jayfan on your win. If you haven't already decided I would suggest to try & chose your two favourite moments, difficult I know!

Fab reviews from everyone ( And I would like to add my thanks to Fred for the sterling work on homework links)

Cat09Tails love the Phwoar Thud look & aunt Agathas' tablecloth.

Fatskia lovely words "Jay and Aliona didn’t need to win for themselves, but people felt their relationship and were moved by their dancing – and that is special and rare – so they made them the winners." ( by the way I tend to read your name as Fatsia like the plant – I have one in my front garden)

Ahouch very evocative & creative

StrictlyRed – congrats on 10,000 posts here's to the next 10k!

Lovely to have you back Celloplayer – glad to hear your second op was a success

I'm in awe of all the bards Korky DD & Raffertys lovely epic. Hannah love your limerick a fantastic first attempt – this is for you! (You may recognise it!)

Lola love the red lighting theory

Isih Don't know if anyone else has suggested this but you could save the Jayjobs as a word document in Dropbox then post a link here to save space?

TT your Jay's journey in pictures is amazing & requires further( lengthy) study

Jnb everything still crossed for you & Becks.

And I'm glad you like the J on a train questions

ETA Fred I can re-post homework links for you.
You have touched a nerve here. I HATE WORD. I use Excel as my word processor (it's then useful for sorting and counting etc)

Perhaps I could copy it over to Word when finished - I'll give it a try

As I've have been refused my latest Jayjob applications and am consequently running a bit low on them I am wondering if I may be Curator of the Jayewellery. I would look after his bracelets and other wrist thingies and earrings and any more body jewellery which may lurk underneath his clothes.

At work all day, and then I’ve left my phone on my desk at work, feel very slightly lost without it, have just managed to manhandle the laptop away from son - he has iphone and ipad why is my laptop seemingly preferable. So I’m madly trying to catch up.

Ahouch - baby steps with being a rebel, you have made a start with being on here and love your story of The Final. Don’t give up the writing now you have started even if only you see it.

Thomas Hardy - I did Far from the Maddening Crowd (and yes that’s how we spelt it after a term of reading it) for A level Eng Lit about 600 years ago. We had to watch the film with Terence Stamp playing Frank Troy, even now all I can hear is him saying in a very strong accent that he obviously thought was Dorset “Bathsheba, I’ve come for you Bathsheba”, I fall about laughing everytime I hear it.

Hannah - I had no idea I had posted 500 times, I’ll do cake if I ever get to 1000.

Rafferty - just wow!

Whiffle - love the questions, actually really love the pie chart - inner geek coming out again. If I ever meet him on a train, in a cafe is my little daydream, I will endeavour to prise the answers out of him.

Isih - forgot to say earlier, loved the picture of your cats, I might post pictures of my cats some day.

TT - your 100 picture journey of J is amazing, it really brings to life in a few pictures the whole journey, to paraphrase when he was talking about the showdance, “I remember every step, every move we made”, or words to that effect. Have you thought about editing them together to make a video. I'm not a big fan of fanvids of bits of dances put to random song but this is different and tells his story - just a thought.

I like the Jobs for Jay on here Isih - so for me don't think it matters unless you're going to post absolutely everything all at once Dropbox can sometimes be a bit temperamental for me - don't know why.
(If you're feeling really keen and have the time, you could do both )

Forgot to say Rafferty, loved the 'journey' and hannah your Limerick .

Thank you very much Whiffle for offering to re-post the Review at 7.00 on Friday - it's best to quote it rather than post a link so it's easy to see. Will send a message on here when I post it on Thursday.
PS thank you for sorting the questions

Many thanks again StrictlyRed for being reserve - in case Whiffle is held up by J turning up on her doorstep for tea on Friday

Step away from WORD Isih. It is a dangerous and mysterious piece of software. It is only put on this earth to confound.
Stick with EXCEL for its excellent spreadsheet qualities.
Yes I was a numerical nerd at work📊📈

Hi All,

Quick post before I try to get an early night.

TT - loved your 100 pics. You've selected some great moments. I really loved the way you added the ITT bits in too. They are equally as telling with regard the 'journey' as the dances themselves.

Lola - I also studied Thomas Hardy for my A-level English Lit. Went on holiday with my brother and his girlfriend to Rhodes and spent most of it reading and making notes on Tess, Madding Crowd & Mayor of Casterbridge. I appreciate it now, but at the time ☹️

Sleep well. X

I've loved him since I was 9 and went from devouring the Just William series to discovering the depth of the master of the English language.

Hi All
Apologies for not sending my appreciation for all the poems and reviews - they are all brilliant and I have loved reading them. I've been working on something for the thread myself, be ready soon, if anyone is interested when its finished.
Anyway, a very dangerous thing to do here, but I'm going to be on my own in London for the evening in a couple of weeks and thought I would go and see a dance show. I know a lot of Jalionistas live in the London area, so if anyone fancies a show, PM me and I will tell you about the shows that are on. Or not, if you are more scared of me that I am of everyone else!

BIB always interested to read your post to the thread.

Unfortunately I don't live near London but have a lovely time at your show.

Hi Agrion
Not exactly a dance show, but can recommend Kinky Boots if you want to see a musical in London.
Not the most original plot but given a new lease of life by some lovely songs and singing, great energy and quirky humour.

If only ........

PS not a Hardy fan myself.
The Trumpet- Major was not the most engaging introduction at the age of 12 and rather put me off.

ETA Strictly GIFs have now posted one of my waltz gifs
