BIB: please don't I promise not to enjoy it and that I will stay indoors.
And I would NEVER laugh about somebody else's bad weather ![]() ![]() Quote:
Hmmm... I think I'd prefer to guide his finger to the relevant button rather than do it for him, should he need a refresher lesson. (See above.)
So Finger Guide as a Jayjob please, Isih! ![]() Quote:
Wonderful review Whiffle. The American Smooth has never been a favourite of mine, but the areas you highlighted show some beautiful details that on my own I would have missed. So thanks for that. I may not be keen on watching the whole routine repeatedly but I'd be more than happy to watch your gifs of it over and over again.
I see no rambling and always love your reviews. Everyone has their own style and each and every one brings out different aspects of the dances. Looking forward to your next. X Quote:
Just caught up - loving the weather forecast chat. It's a lovely evening here now but was raining stair rods for most of the day (especially when I decided to go to the garden centre!). Hope it stays dry so I can finally get my grass cut.( If any nice young man would like to help they are more than welcome, I do have ladybirds in the garden)
Have done my voting monkey duties Miss Probably completely wrong, but having read some of J's cryptic tweets on here wondered if there was any significance to 1st November (1/11 or1.11) BTW love Lazy digititis Korky ETA Thanks DD for the lovely updated poem collection ![]() That is a very good point about 1.11 It's my grandson's third birthday too! You'd think the owner would send you the happy message by carrier pigeon...

And would you know how to handle a star coupler?
![]() I'm not sure this is the job for you Korks ... ![]() Isih, with my scientific background, I could apply my knowledge of frequency modulation and fibre bandwidth in the new position of Microwave Manipulation Mistress. I would carefully calculate the rise time and fall time and ensure that all necessary RF shielding is in place to avoid any microwave leaks. ![]() Quote:
Are they taking the mickey with their Jayshirts and gestures?

Ok so two things, first, me and my big mouth...I though I was being nice suggesting the microwave job for Korks, thought it tied in well with Snack Provider job. I should have just claimed it for myself. I'm going to read his tweets see if I can find inspiration for another job.
And talking of tweets leads me on to taking the topic back to dance - I'm good sometimes ![]() Aliona tweeted this earlier - https://twitter.com/AlionaVilani/sta...28808214605825 This is the link to facebook if easier- https://www.facebook.com/sobailarino...6139686466906/ You need to click on the video. It would be really interesting if this was the type of dance she thinks J could do in KD. |

So... You on the scientific side and me handling the Jaydigit/human side of the world of the microwave. Seems quite logical and fair to me.
![]() I do know how to handle a star coupler, yes. The first thing to do is getting the Insert Coax just right. ![]() Lola, I would love to see J&A creating that type of contemporary dance, although maybe without the wet look. ![]() The head-on-chest move looks familiar.

This is quite fun - found it on this morning's Furrow in the Burrow:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZPE_PWNx3s Raining here too, and we're babysitting a rather disconsolate and soaking wet racing pigeon. He arrived yesterday morning, we managed to get the owner's phone number from the ring on his leg. But we can't 'contain' him as ordered. So he's taking his life in his hands and the cat's sulking because we've had to keep him in. Quote:
I haven't seen that one before. Thanks BB. Love it. 😍
Happy bird sitting - if only it were a different kind of 'Bird' eh!😉 It was good to see this collaboration between The Wanted and Irish House Party ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMzdQAE2zIQ ETA: Just noticed DD has already posted this - Oops sorry for double posting the video. .but it is enjoyable and thanks again to BB and DD for posting

This is a public forum to be read by all. Even if that gif was meant to be a joke, to me it is in bad taste and it is to be hoped there are no people reading this thread who may try it.
Apologies if you misinterpreted my sense of humour. |

I agree it looks like Aliona may have this in mind. It is exquisite, but I would like to see more dance content for J if they do something like this - the male dancer in this clip is mainly there to show off the female - lots of lifts - and J is such an elegant dancer in his own right he deserves more, dare I say it, exposure.
Not keen on the soggy setting though - too much potential for injury at a crucial time for J. ![]() BTW email arrived to a chorus of When Doves Fly.... ![]() ![]() I wasn't advocating the wetness: far too dangerously slippery. I'd even love J to improvise something on his own, just to see those beautiful lines and his delicate, masculine, compelling, balletic strength. 💕 |

It might be interesting if Aliona did choreograph something much more sensual, but I don't think it would be ideal for KD. |

....
Seems as if people aren't such fans of J&A as some of us. ![]() I know that it's still five months away from Edinburgh ..... , but it seems not to be generally known yet.. Bit surprised that there hasn't been more promotion - Edinburgh might not be until November, the other two are only in 2 1/2 and 3 months' time. But as jnb has said, Robin isn't back from his summer work yet and Louis has a busy summer in Rio!As I've been collating the 'Amnesty Homework', it's struck me that there aren't that many J and A interviews and appearances to add since Strictly finished. Don't think it's a problem though, as suspect there'll be more as we get closer to J's very busy Autumn and hopefully we'll see more of A too. It does surprise me that J doesn't use Twitter more to communicate with his fans. If it wasn't for our excellent sleuths in Ireland , we wouldn't have known about the radio interview. It would be easy for J to just Tweet that he was going to be on the programme? Suppose it does mean though that he'd need his phone with him .I suspect J had a specific reason for going to the USA, or he would have gone to Cold play with the others. Lovely review Whiffle, really enjoyed it. The AS wasn't one of my favourites first time round - think the heavy makeup, though really clever, was a bit off-putting. But you could see the cheeky expressions. Did like the lifts and your gifs really show the superb lifts ![]() Ahh BB, it was you who thought of Matthew Bourne! Interesting pigeon story too ![]() Agrion, so sad that a talented young actor should go like that. LL onwards and uppards with your wondrous physios ![]() jnb what a difficult weekend - ((hugs)) Great collation work DD ![]() Have voted Cato9Tales nelliek , great work on the list Not going for very long, I hope hannah

I loved Louisa - my second favourite of Vincent's partners after Rachel. She has something in common with Jay, too - a 10 from Bruno for a week 3 jive! This was despite Vincent being injured on Monday and not being able to dance until the morning of the actual show, which was when they actually ran through the routine for the first time! ![]() I would love her to get through this round but I don't think she will be able to beat Georgia or Jay. Well, I wouldn't even want her to beat Jay.

Towards the end if Strictly this thread had 20,000+ views a day. Even now, when it's quiet, it's had 130,000+ views since Part 6 started - that's more than 6,000 views a day on average. (Tends to be busier on some days than others). It isn't the same people checking and rechecking - I did a little test a while ago. When something is happening, like J's radio interview or him being on National Lottery, the views go up to 10,000+ a day. |

I suspect the choreography for BIG will take in a variety of elements; tap maybe, street dance and group routines, so a bit of sizzle in KD will highlight J's versatility. Plus I suspect A really wants to dance more adventurously with J, and he with her. |

Good Morning All!
Just a quick post to say I'm still here! Not getting the opportunity to post very much at the moment. Just a comment here and there. I have been particularly hamstrung by the fact my OH has decided to work from home the last two days. I therefore feel like I have to run around like a headless chicken looking busy to justify not being at work. I don't think spending hours on the thread would be deemed affective use of my time! I will however caveat this statement by saying it is completely in my own head. He doesn't need me to justify what I do. I just feel I should. I've finally found some inspiration for my Jive review so I should be posting that in a few days time. A different approach again. I'm also working on another post about the J&A experience. BTW I have voted in Monkseal's World Cup - go Jay! Well I better get off now before I'm rumbled. ![]() See you later x |

When I went to my painting group on Monday, out of the blue one of the women (who I hadn't met before) said, "I tell you who I really, really like - Jay McGuiness. He is a lovely young man and such a good dancer"!
I told her all about "Big" and everyone was very pleased for him. |
