Just thought I'd put my two penneth with regard
Huph and
drizzle's concerns about Jay being in LA and not here promoting himself.
All of us want him to be successful and so we worry about what he's doing when we get his not uncommon social media silence. I for one do, and his absence makes my life just a little bit duller. But I've been telling myself - trust in J. Trust his management. They know what they are doing. We all wibbled endlessly at the end of the tour and then, hey presto KD and then Big was announced.
It may look like he's on holiday in LA but the only pictures were from one night for a friend's birthday. For all we know he's spending the rest of his time sorting his vocals out, getting some acting tuition and honing the accent if he needs it. At the end of the summer he'll be away from his friends in LA for at least another 6 months so maybe he's choosing to do some stuff there so he can spend time with them whilst he can.
With regards KD publicity, I'm sad to say that I think it will be unlikely that J will do much publicity for it. It's Robin's baby so he'd do the majority, but maybe Ali could join him for some of it. I expect the publicity will be very similar to the tour he did with Pixie Lott. I think J will have too much on his plate to take an active role. I also think that when Booking shows people are more likely to purchase tickets closer to the time, unless they are uber fans like us! November for instance seems so long away that they can't think that far ahead.
When it comes to Big. I doubt we'll hear much from him either. If we do I think it will be limited to Ireland because that's where the bulk of sales will be coming from. Only if they make that a huge success and then announce the WE dates do I expect to see him on English TV.
I know they preview in Plymouth, but aren't previews about ironing out the kinks rather than getting huge audiences. So probably a few appearances on Irish TV but not much else for the time being is my guess. I think he'll be keeping his head down and making sure he does a good job in Big, and let others do the bulk of the publicity. It's success is pivotal to J's. There's a lot of pressure on him and how he performs could determine the course of his future career.
I'm going to try my best not to worry about him too much and will have everything crossed for the next 6 months!
