Gerd Mullers son, Thomas might be a good shout.

Funnily enough, when Thomas Muller was asked who his idol was growing up - the Germany striker with the name Muller - didn't mention Gerd!

Maybe Lukaku if Belgium do manage to advance far in to the tournament. |

I might go with Mario Gomez again despite jinxing him at whichever previous tournament he was tipped to shine in.

I expect France to score quite a few goals this tournament, maybe Giroud will get a few more than expected, he's priced at 14/1.
Griezmann, as good he is hasn't really done it for his country since the friendlies before the World Cup. 2 goals for him in 1075 minutes with all of Giroud, Gignac, Matuidi and Payet scoring at a better rate over the same period. |

Not really certain yet, but Muller hardly ever lets me or the Germans down at the majors, so I'm definitely doing him. Hazard finished the season like a train and I'm thinking of doing each-way on him as well. I haven't checked, but I'm guessing he'll be about 25/1. Actually, if Belgium do manage to get it together at last, at least three of their forward line could be in with a shout of the boot.

One problem with this market is trying to work out who Spain are going to play through the middle.
If Aduriz starts he might well be a contender as might whoever they play there. They went with Morata this afternoon in a friendly against South Korea and he scored twice as they battered them 6-1. Could that be enough to get him the nod? Nilito also scored twice, adding to the 2 he got on Sunday and seems to be in hot form. Guessing he'll start on the left. |

Well I went with Thomas Muller a week ago. I backed him during the World Cup on an Each-Way and almost won it. I don't know if he'd win it but Vardy was I think 40/1 (might've been 66/1 when I did it) so thought I'd do a little bet for that as well, just in case.
I also did two outright/golden boot doubles, France/Giroud (28/1) and France/Muller (40/1). It's 18/1 for Germany/Muller but I'm not going to do that one. |

I wonder what odds on an England/Rashford double would be?
Round about Leicester style, or a bit less?!

Well if you're not a betting person I don't know what you can do with such information, but with Sky Bet it's 400/1.

Got Gomez @28. My big betting tip to make all of you money is to lump cash on him to not score a single goal now.

If Muller does it again, I want them to skip drug testing and do tests to make sure he's not some kind of football robot.

Just noticed there's odds on which group will be the highest and lowest scoring group which could be used as a little aid or guide.
Rack up a few goals in the group phase, or get a hat-trick in one of the games and you could be well on your way. 5 goals could take it, and it could even go to someone who doesn't go that far in the tournament as a whole. Oleg Salenko jointly won it in the '94 World Cup and Russia didn't even get out of the group . That tournament had 24 teams and the same format as this one. Anyway, Group C With Germany, Poland, Ukraine and Northern Ireland is the favourite to be the highest scoring. Obviously leads you to players like Muller and Lewandowski. Someone else mentioned Milik in this thread and Grosicki also has a decent record for the Poles. Then there's Gotze and Gomez as German alternatives, and maybe Yarmolenko for Ukraine. Northern Ireland are the least likely of any team in the tournament to get out of the group according to the bookies and are being penciled in as the whipping boys. Group A - France, Switzerland, Romania, Albania is 2nd favourite to produce the most goals. Group B - England, Russia Slovakia, Wales + Group E - Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Republic of Ireland are the two favourites for least goals. Having said all this, there's no huge favourites in any of these and all the groups are reasonably close in the odds. Might be a little pointer to help make up someone's mind if they already had a player in their thoughts and for that it could be some use, but I wouldn't be making the whole decision (or anything near it) based off it. |

Giroud each way. If France go far, he will surely make the top 4.
