The Soapies are a fun online award system for British soaps and dramas, where the public can vote in the awards for their favourite soaps, actors and actresses and more!

This is our second year running the award ceremony, following positive feedback from the public last year and we are focusing on the highlights of our soaps and dramas between May 2015 and April 2016.​ I would like to emphasis how this is all a bit of fun and to see who our winners are. We also love all feedback from the public, so feel free to send any my way.

The soaps and dramas we have included are: Casualty, Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Holby City and Hollyoaks.

Shame to see Neighbours and Home and Away excluded in even fan-made awards

It's very good, but I thought I'd point out that Charlotte Bellamy is down as Charley Webb. Also, this is just my opinion, but I don't think that it's appropriate for Gary Mavers character Gordon Livesy to be in the "Best Bad Boy" catergory, there should be a seperate catergory for "Evil Villian of the year" or something imo, a pedophile should in a much harsher category than that.

We focus on British soaps/dramas, rather than those overseas, hence why they aren't included. I hope this hasn't put you off voting.

Neighbours is a British-funded production. It's just set overseas. You don't have 'British' in your title as an excuse, but then you don't watch them I guess, so you wouldn't know who to nominate. That can be the only reason you've omitted Doctors too.

Why not do an international version once done with the british one?

How on earth did Harry reid make the short list for best actor? More like the worst

It's a shame you never branched out into doing international soaps, which I did comment on several posts above but was ignored. Especially as the drama categories were limited to only holby and casualty, and I watch neither.

I'd love to expand the awards and I am currently looking to expand it into Australian soaps next year, with a possibilty of American soaps to also be included.

In terms of dramas, I am open to expanding it into more dramas as well, especially if we expand to Australian and American soaps.

When are the winners announced?

Good. If you ever need any help, do PM me. I watch three of the four american daytime soaps so I can help out in whatever way i can. Plus many of the american primetime soaps.
