If they want to fight for their country, then sign up for the armed forces, as they most certainly are not fighting for the country by doing what they are doing here.
There is just not reason at all for causing such damage. |

I would would imagine that the army do not want to recruit these thugs, and some are clearly too old.
They are just fighting for themselves in their tiny peabrained size minds. Idiots the lot of them, not one person who fights or causes criminal damage, has a working or functioning brain, that much is blatantly obvious. |

Is this the same armed forces where people sign up just to kill, and should be made to use stun guns?

So people actually want a reputation as someone who goes around fighting and smashing up other people's businesses???
![]() What pride can someone possibly take in having a reputation as someone who does such criminal acts?? ![]() Goes for casuals everywhere. As a fan of boxing/MMA I'd love to see a version of Team Fighting Championships for the Euros. Don't think the English lads currently kicking off in Marseille would be up for it though. Either that or the casuals meet up in a field miles away from the city centre and the cops let them go for it. Stops innocent folk getting involved and building/businesses being vandalised. |

Lets not go down this alleyway again.

Surely the rules are the same everywhere??
You fight with people, the police will come. You destroy a business, the police will come. What exactly is there to be distrustful of the police, foreign or otherwise about?? If you are doing nothing wrong, just sitting watching the football, the no police force from any country, will try to arrest you, or anything like that. Police only get "heavy handed", when the situation calls for them to do so, if everyone was just sitting down, acting normal, then they wouldn't do anything. So I really don't see what there is to be distrustful over. ![]() ![]() There are people in the world who are distrustful of the police, and sometimes it's justified. |

It only came out when one of the officers witnessing the whole thing came out in defence of the fan and admitted the abuse he saw. Considering that's at Cov where nobody cares enough to get angry, you can imagine that nonsense goes on everywhere that ruins it for the 99% on either side. |

In their mindset it is all about being the top dog. Have you ever read any of the casual books? It is all about going somewhere else and taking their pub etc, a bit like an invasion.

They must have the IQ of a dead nat, what are they trying to prove, by starting fights, why not just sit down, and watch the football, afterall that is why they are there in the first place is it not?

You brought them up. I only pointed out what you seem to think of the same armed forces that you want these people to join.
Do you really believe that? That no police would bother them if they were just watching football? As if police corruption doesn't exist? Football fans have had issues with police in the past, with the police treating them like animals because of a few idiots causing trouble. There are people in the world who are distrustful of the police, and sometimes it's justified. As for police, what does police corruption have to do with anything? ![]() Sorry you lost me on that part. ![]() Yes I do believe that if fans are just sitting around watching the match on a TV, then the police will not interfere with them, as for what reason(s) would they have for doing so?? The fans only have to worry if they start getting out of hand, that is when the police have a reason to get involved. |

Did your school ever have a particular bully or a gang of hard kids or loudmouths? If they did, imagine them never growing out of it and that's the kind of thing you've got.
I understand the point you are making in that respect, I just cannot get my head around being proud at costing someone thousands of Euro's in costs to repair a business. |

I brought them up in the general sense of the term.

Yes, I'm aware. But what you've said about them in the past still applies because you suggested these people go and join these armed forces, the same armed forces you've said certain things about in the past. It wasn't a serious comment...

So fans at it again according to news. Let's face it these animals have no interest in football. They're there to fight. Sadly they get sent back to us. I'd prefer it if they were dumped on an island away from civilised people.

I don't know. I can't speak for them or defend them. Not everything is logical, or how it should be. These aren't the smartest of people, they won't all take the cautious approach. If they're fighting, fueled by alcohol and whatever else, add in adrenaline and you've got a bad combination.

One of the main talking points on the tournament is safety because of the fear of terrorist attacks. The country will be on a higher alert because of it. So these geniuses decide to go over and start fighting, despite the extra security and police, and causing even more fear.

I haven't read any of those books, sorry.
![]() Only in their tiny minds would causing damage to someone's property be classed as a positive thing, no matter which country that property was in. For them it is a positive as their reputation grows and makes them, in some senses, more feared. Like I say though, whilst I've no issues with willing participants having a go at each other, I don't think that vandalism is on. You should have a read of a couple of them, some are a decent read although I wouldn't take everything thing they say seriously, 10 lads taking on 150 and talk like that. Like celesti said though, some of them are just folk that haven't grown up. |

When they said on the news there are marksmen on the roofs I thought they trying a new approach since tear gas isn't working. Unfortunately they were just watching from up there. 😞

I like the way that those who said "they started it" over the last couple of nights have all headed back down to the old port to not be looking for trouble again.
Although it does seem that this afternoon's events consisted of 100-120 Russians turning up attacking anything that moved and our brave English heroes not having a clue how to deal with them. |

I see England fans throwing bottles, covered in blood, shirts off, fighting for a 4th day and we haven't kicked a ball yet.
It's ridiculous |

The pictures are horrific on sky news, running street battles, water cannon, tear gas.
5 arrested, 6 injured. Looked like one very badly |

Journalists actually there suggest English fans have been pretty badly targeted. Russians and Marseille fans looking for trouble.
Must be England's fault though. |
